Sony Xperia P and U pegged for early May launch in the UK

Hot on the heels of the Xperia S come Sony's mid-range and entry-level offerings, the Xperia P and Xperia U. We got to see both devices at the announcement event at Mobile World Congress a couple of months back, and if you're interested in picking either up, you should only have another 2-3 weeks left to wait.
UK retailer Clove Technology now lists both upcoming Xperia phones for pre-order, with an expected release date during the week commencing May 7. The Xperia P is available in black and silver, and will set you back £330 off-contract, the Xperia U comes in black and white, and sells for £204.
Pre-order pricing and release dates are always subject to change, but Clove has a proven track record when it comes to this sort of thing. And given the closeness of the purported release dates, we're inclined to believe them in this instance.

Having trained for many years and tried a plethora of protein powder supplements (many from the annual fitness expo!), I feel that I now have a sound idea about which are the best protein powders in Australia.
Honestly, I have tasted protein powders that I have struggled to finish drinking (and I’m quite adventurous when it comes to taste). Two products in particular stand out, but I’m not going to mention the brands because they have since updated their formula’s (thankfully!).
On the flip side, I have also tasted some AMAZING protein powder supplements – particularly in the past few years as much more development has gone into the taste of the products.
But it’s not all about taste. The quality, price and constituents of protein powders are all very important when it comes to deciding which supplement to use.
With so many products out there, it can be confusing where to begin. So, below, I have listed the four best protein powders in Australia, for different reasons:
The Best Tasting Protein Powder in Australia
I really cannot go past Optimum 100% Gold Standard Whey. They have a number of flavours, all of which taste amazing! In saying this, there are other protein powders that are just as good tasting in my opinion. Yet why this product gets my vote is because of the quality of the constituents as well as the taste. It’s primarily whey protein isolate, with whey protein concentrates as a secondary ingredient.
The Best Value Protein Powder in Australia
My definition of value considers two primary factors – product quality and price. Dymatize Elite Whey comes in a 4.5kg box, is a blend of whey protein concentrate and isolate (in that order) and is significantly more cost effective that the Optimum protein powders.
The Best Quality Protein Powder in Australia
This must go to AST Sports Science VP2. VP2 is a partially hydrolysed whey protein isolate protein powder. Whilst the label says that it is “100% hydrolysed”, this refers to the fact that 100% of the protein has undergone the hydrolysation process. Hydrolysation enhances the rate of protein absorption to boost muscle synthesis and recovery following a workout. Ultimately, the quicker you can absorb amino acids, the more effective that workout will be. VP2 has been a world leader for many years and continues to remain right at the top of the list. But of course with the added quality comes the additional cost (albeit not excessive).
The Best Natural Protein Powder in Australia
I blogged about Dymatize All Natural Elite Whey not long ago, mentioning that it contained no artificial sweeteners, flavours or preservatives are added into this product. Better yet, there is no sugar either!
Having consumed this protein powder regularly for a little while, I must say, the taste is really growing on me. It’s not quite as sweet as the other powders on the market, but I really think that it’s a good thing. Plus, it’s primarily whey protein isolates!

I just read that Facebook are possibly making software for a new mobile phone.
The software will integrate deeply into the contacts list and other core functions of the phone.

Scared by Google’s impending Nexus One (which was announced back in January of this year), Facebook supposedly began planning their phone. Something that would integrate Facebook contacts more deeply than anything Android or any other platforms had done before.

Can't wait for this one, it can only mean better things for us as end consumers as competition heats up in the market.

Nokia N95 Battery Life woes!

So I've had my Nokia N95 for approximately 6 months now and whilst I'm happy with the exhaustive list of features I have almost had it with the poor battery life. Yes yes I know it has been written and blogged about numerous times, thats because it really does suck!

I occasionally use the built in GPRS, but the majority of my time is simply spent with a few sms's and maybe 2-3 short (5mins) phone calls per day. Now come on, how is it possible that the 950 mAH battery can only last ~3 days?

Should I sell it on ebay and buy myself a Sony? Hrmmm I'm contemplating it.

The US are now getting an upgrade http://www.nokiausa.com/A4513448 however i dont think we will be seeing this here in Australia.

8 gig + The N95-3 has a 1200mAh battery.

If only I could manage to squeez that bigger battery into my existing N95... it's worth a shot.

Britney Loses Custody Of Kids

Britney Spears has lost custody of her two young children to her ex-husband.

A judge has ordered the singer to hand over Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one, to Kevin Federline.

Judge Scott M Gordon said he will have custody from noon on Wednesday until "further order of the court".

The judgement came 10 days after Spears was charged with hit and run and driving without a valid licence.

The 25-year-old and Federline, 29, have been locked in a bitter custody battle over their sons.

Earlier this month, Judge Gordon said Spears engaged in "habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol".

The couple in happier times

He ordered her to undergo random drug and alcohol testing twice a week as part of the custody dispute.

Spears was previously ordered to meet a "parenting coach" every week who was to report back to the court about her parenting skills.

The couple - who married in October 2004 - must also complete the court's "Parenting Without Conflict" class.

Spears filed for divorce last November and it became official in July.

Halo 3 is a first-person shooter developed by Bungie Studios exclusively for the Xbox 360. The game is the third title in the Halo series and ends the story arc begun in Halo: Combat Evolved and continued with Halo 2.^[5] The game was released on September 25, 2007^[1] in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, India, Mexico, Canada, Brazil, and the United States; September 26, 2007 in Europe; and September 27, 2007 in Japan. GameSpot reported that 4.2 million units of Halo 3 were in retail outlets on September 24, 2007, a day before official release,^[6] a world record volume release. Halo 3 also holds the record for the biggest opening day in entertainment history, making $170 million dollars in its first 24 hours.^[7]

The game features new vehicles, weapons, and gameplay features not present in the previous titles of the series. Halo 3 focuses on the interstellar war between 26th century humanity and a collection of alien races known as the Covenant, who after a decades-long war have begun the invasion of Earth. The player assumes the role of the Master Chief, a genetically enhanced supersoldier, as he wages war in defense of humanity.
