Channing Tatum.... SNL, The Vow Premiere

Love Channing Tatum.... and his wife Jenna Dewan, though I am incredibly jealous of her....

Heading to NYC for the Feb, 4 weekend to try and see Channing Tatum at SNL.

I may or may not stop in LA on my way home to try and go to 'The Vow' premiere... that movie is going to be amazing.

Why the sudden "fly around the world for Channing?"

I am glad you ask, besides being crazy.... clearly.... I realized I travel SO MUCH for Twilight, and to be honest, Channing is "my Rob"

Yes, I love Channing more than Rob, he is #1 on my list... followed by Ryan Gosling, in case you care... my Freebie list - the list of men I can freely adore ad obsess over without criticism from my husband... well... he criticizes, but ya....

So, with Channing's big year - I decided to try to meet him - finally

If I fail at SNL and possibly The Vow Premiere, I still have GI Joe, Magic Mike, 21 Jump Street (so far) this year... he wasn't at the AFI screening of Haywire in November (sad) but this is the year of Channing - I will meet that man... *sigh* Wish me Luck ;)

Bachelor Recap Jan 23

I watched tonight's episode - here is a summary / recap as well as my opinions on the ladies and their antics..... More... They are in Utah...

It actually rains, snows and is sunny all in one episode.

One-on-one date - Rachel

They leave via helicopter for an outdoorsy date. The conversation was awkward and in frequent, she admits she has a hard time opening up and communicating, but she also mentioned how it was kind of late for a first date... which to me indicates she has no time for holding back... I like Rachel, she is pretty and fun, but a little weak with her social skills.

She gets a rose

Group Date

Blakely, Courtney, Kacie B, Samantha, Lyndzi, Nicki, Kacey S, and one more.

Horse back riding, fly fishing, evening date.

Courtney, as always pulls Ben away...she catches a fish. In the evening, the girls try to get their one-on-one time by interupting each other and being catty. Ben sent Samantha home, telling the girls he promised to be honest in this process.

Inside note: Samantha allegedly had feelings for a producer and asked to be let go from the show, so her whole "going home" things was not entirely the whole story.

Kacie B and Ben send some quality time together, I am really loving their connection, and they make Courtney upset and insecure so I love it!

After some make-out time with Kacie B, Courtney and Ben go off to sit by the fire. Courtney claims she is having a difficult time dealing with everything and Ben decides to give her the rose, even tho9ugh he had planned to give it to someone else - geezus he is an idiot! But she is clearly pure evil genius.

Monica, Elyse, Rachel, Emily, are back at hotel bad mouthing Courtney (though not lying at all, just being honest about how horrible she is)

One-on-one - Jennifer

The go down into a cave and swim, thunder and rain come in the evening, but overall they seem to have a good date. She is quite reserved and again, I think at this stage in the game the ladies need to put themselves out there. They attend a Clay Walker concert in the middleof nowhere.

She got the rose.

Meanwhile back at home, Emily is with some gals in the bathroom highlighting her hair and drinking and bad mouthing Courtney somemore. I can't even call it catty anymore, I can only call it honesty. Courtney is pure evil!

Cocktail Party

Rachel, Courtney & Jennifer discuss how great it is to be safe.

Emily is confused on what Ben wants, based on how different the three girls with roses are.

Ben arrives and thanks the ladies for being open to the process.... same old song and dance. He thinkshis wife is in the room.

Emily starts to freak out about Courtney misleading Ben and decides to tell Ben what's up.

Emily calls Courtney a statue...Beautfiul but cold and hard. I don't think Courtney is pretty to be honest. She is kind of troll like. Plus how she acts makes her uglier.

When she talks to Ben, he gives her an "out" by saying, "I don't know who it is and I don't expect you to throw anyone under the bus..." but then she says who it is by saying she got the rose on the group date. Ben then says she will drive herself nuts if she focuses on this person instead of their (his and her) relationship... she then panics she insulted him and worries she is being sent home.

Casey S backs up Courtney when Emily admits she tried to talk to Ben about Courtney. Casey S insists she is a sweet girl but Emily is confused why Casey S is the only one who doesn't see it. They agree to disagree, but Casey S runs to Courtney OF COURSE. After spilling and exagerating the conversation to Courtney, Courtney loses her mind.

She then engages in confrontation and "mean girl" antics at Emily. Rose Ceremony

-Lindzi - liking her more and more

-Jaime - not much of her this episode

-Nicki - liking her more lately also

-Kacie B - loving her best for Ben

-Elyse - She's ok

-Blakely - not much of her this time around, but she seems less evil now that Courtney has won that craycray award

-Casey S - boooooo

-Emily - stays, thank goodness, after her conversation with Ben about Courtney I was worried. Leaving:

-Samantha was already sent home -Monica goes - I love her but not for Ben, more for having in the house with all the women. Her first night she was hitting on Blakeley, she got involved in the cat fights and was always speaking her mind. She didn't have much screen time this episode, I knew she wouldn't last, but I adore her!

As they "Cheers" Courtney says, "I can go higher" with her glass - seriously? That "model" is so insecure she covers up with this super fake obsessive confidence... she drives me nuts!

Next Week

- going to Puerto Rico

-11 women left

-Looks like Elyse gets one-on-one on a boat

-more Courtney/Emily drama on a group date

So I am watching Charlie St. Cloud the other night...

I had meant to watch it sooner, it was filmed here in Vancouver and the island, I actually met Zac Efron - see blog here, the bubble of pretty who floated towards us one summer day.... but I am watching the movie on demand and I see this kid is on it, he has a goofy grin and he looks JUST like James Franco, and I am thinking, how do I know this kid?

Then, last night, I go see Incredibly Loud and Extremely Close and then The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and there is a trailer for 21 Jump Street. I am super excited because, obviously, Channing Tatum is in it... but then, this kid pops up again with his big "James Franco-esque" grin. And I am thinking, "I need to imdb this kid"

So tonight as I am laying in bed I remember - and I look him up...

Sure enough, he IS a Franco.... James Franco's brother, Dave Franco, and I know where I have seen him before... Privileged as Zack... remember Privileged?

Joanna García (Reba's tv daughter on Reba)

Well Joanna Farcia was the tutor for two rich kids... Rose & Sage... played by Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars - originally filmed in Vancouver ALSO, but relocated sadly, just like Vampire Diaries who filmed the pilot here then bailed to GA)

along with and Canadian Ashley Newbrough (who has't done anything since)

I thought for a second Sage had been played by Phoebe Tonkin (Secret Circle, also filmed in Vancouver) but I was wrong....

OOH side note (as if this whole blog isn't one already....) Phoebe Tonkin has been linked to Ed Westwick - omg rawr!!! (also Tom Felton, Angus McLaren and numerous other hotties - lucky gal)

That is how I know that kid... he looks like James Franco, because he is his brother, I have seen him on Privileged and now... I should sleep LOL

True Blood Season 5

According to Casting Calls we get some insight on June 2012's True Blood Season 5. More...

Casting Call – added 10.26.11 Filming on True Blood season 5 gets underway shortly, and we have the scoop on new characters being cast for the season premiere, titled “Turn! Turn! Turn!” Ready? The werewolf community is in an uproar following Marcus’ death in the season 4 finale. The show is casting Rikki, a “dirty-beautiful werewolf” in her mid-20s who wants to know what happened to Marcus. She’s a recurring character, so it sounds like she could cause trouble for Sam and Alcide. Speaking of Alcide, are we about to meet Herveaux Senior? True Blood is casting J.D., a “particularly large Marine-type” werewolf in his 50s, for a recurring role. He refuses to acknowledge the new pack leader, which sounds awfully similar to a certain storyline in book 5. A confirmed parental unit is Annie, Marcus’ mother, who shows up to find out what happened to her son. She’s a powerful, respected werewolf within the pack and is determined to perform a particular ritual. Meanwhile, it sounds like Sam might be in trouble. A pair of weres, Danielle and Kenneth, are being cast in connection with a prisoner who is being interrogated…about the death of Marcus? Or something else? We’ll meet Holly’s two teenage sons, Rocky who thinks his Mom is an idiot (as teenagers do) and Wade who still gives her the benefit of the doubt. Jason and Jessica are still hot and heavy, attending a frat party together where they meet Cammy, who’s totally into Jason, and Zander who has the hots for Jessica. It’s not all gravy for the pair, though. The show is casting Buddy, a friend of Hoyt’s who works on the Renard Parish road crew and mocks Jason. In addition to Nora, the Authority double-agent (and sired sister of Eric), we’ll meet Hayes, a large vampire of Eastern European descent who the Authority send to deliver the True Death to “some other vampires”. Thinking back to why Nan visited Bon Temps last, are those “other vampires” Bill & Eric? In possibly related casting, the show is looking for a woman to play Cat, a no-nonsense vampire in her 40s who works with the vampire underground railroad. Who is she helping get out of Bon Temps? Or is she helping someone get into Bon Temps? And finally, we’ll be flashing back to when Sookie was 12 and being bullied by a couple of boys in gym class. Via her telepathy, she reveals something private about one of them, Donnie, which both confuses and pisses him off.

Haywire - AFI Secret Screening Nov 2011

Today is the release of 'Haywire' in theatres. I have to say, it is a film you don't want to miss! It is action-packed and brings Gina Carano, MMA superstar, to the big screen. With some sexy Channing Tatum, Ewan McGregor and Michael Fassbender, it's a movie you have to see in theatres!

I was lucky enough to attend a secret screening of the movie back in November at the AFI Fest in L.A. at Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

Besides seeing some awesome red carpet arrivals, we got to see the movie with the director and cast, then do a Q&A with them hosted by Joel McHale, after the film.

I am more shocked how many Americans are unaware of this happening in their own country! Speak out against it, it is NOT the way to handle piracy, it is a way to censor the internet! Bachelor Ben Breaks some more hearts... and gets a little heart breaking himself...

Another Bachelor Night, two one on ones and a group date... as always there was drama with a "mystery" guest from Ben's past arriving and a fainting girl at the rose ceremony... never a dull moment on Bachelor read on for more on the episode and my opinions :) More... The first one-on-one was with Emily, who I adore. She is cute and their date was pretty unusual. Climbing up the Bay Bridge... and she is scared of heights.

they made it up the bridge and had a romantic dinner date where she indeed got a rose to stay and kissed as fireworks went off in the background

What was most funny about this date, was that the girls at the hotel could see themon the bridge through a telescope and then saw the fireworks later in the night.

Group Date

It was hilarious to see the lil' snow bunnies skiing down the streets of San Fran in bikini's

The evening...always the most drama with "stealing away" Ben.

I do like the connection between Kasey B and Ben, but from what I hear Ben likes party-girls which is NOT what he neesd long term - let's wait and see.

Blakely complained to Ben how she wasn't accepted by the other girls, Ben told her to focus on their relationship and not the other girls.

Rachel got the rose on the group date.

The second one-on-one date went to Brittney, but after some deliberation she decided she couldn't deal with this process and interupted Ben's group date to say good-bye and not waste a one-on-one date in his hometown with her. Shocking, I wonder what her grandma will say.

Lyndzi got the 2nd one-on-one date after Brittney left. I actually had expected her to get it originally. As a Seattle girl, I hope she will stick around for a while... I still can't believe she rode in on a HORSE!

Their date was really great, she got the rose, and I am starting to like her more and more.

Cocktail Party #3

The "mystery" women is on the way. From spoilers I knew it was Shawntel from Brad's season. They had texted a lot and she felt there was a connection and decided to pop in.

It was a bit awkward with Jennifer and Ben, but it was cute he told her (and his sister) that she was the best kisser in the house. LOL what was odd was her feeling like she was in love already

Courtney is such a bitch. She was so snarky and insulting everyone else. She tried to start stuff with Lyndzi saying Lyndzi looks other girls up and down juding them.

Then she left with Ben putting on her sweet face again, it makes me sick! She says Ben and her have a strong connection so she doesn't feel threatened by the other girls, yet she talks down to them and acts so catty, it is clear she is insecure!

Nicky did a cool game like the newlywed game.

Shawntel joined the cocktail party and the girls went nuts!! It was hilarious!

She interupts Elyse and Ben's time together and admitted her feelings for him and hoped he would give her a rose to stay and get to know each other, or send her home and end it now.

The girls went catty on her, poor Shawntel, I really do adore her!

Erika's reaction made me no longer indifferent to her but not like her at all. "thicker thighs" really?

Elyse's whole "what do you know about him" is stupid because Elyse just met him too.

Courtney's objections are no surprise, she's a bitch "he could have shut her down real quick" then she claims she would not accept a rose from ben - oh we can only wish Courtney goes home, no I wish she went home week one!

I was also upset that Rachel was so catty. I didn't like her, then I started to, and now I don't again.

Jaclyn's cattiness didn't surprise me either, I don't like her anyways.

Emily was honest, she thought they had chemistry, I agree, Shawntel and him would be so adorable together, but ultimately it is Ben's decision, though knowing who he chooses in the end, I have to say Ben is clearly an idiot.

Rose Ceremony

Jaclyn, Erika, Shawntel left... Erika feels nauseated, Jaclyn is bitchy, Shawntel looks nervous, Erika passes out... drama!

Kasey B blames the "three-ring-circus" on Shawntel. Other girls describe the scene as chaotic and all Shawntel's fault - um really?

Anyways, back to Erika, Jaclyn, Shawntel... I'd pick Shawntel to stay... Erika and Jaclyn shouldn't be there... to be honest, nor should half the girls with roses but Ben's an idiot.

Sadly, or excitedly, he doesn't hand out the final rose... ha ha

Jaclyn, Shawntel, Erika all leave... Erika half faints - again... imagine that... *eyeroll*

I actually (knowing who he picks) think that once he sees the entire season he may change his mind... hopefully... maybe pick Shawntel anyway?

or maybe he will stick with his choice and they will end like every other Bachelor couple in history....... NOT MARRIED! ha ha

ok, Bachelorette's have a better track record, but besides Trista & Ryan, who has lasted? I mean Jason & Molly but he had chose Melissa originally.

Anyways... next week looks like Ben sends someone home during group date and no surprise more Courtney drama....

LOVED the People's Choice Awards intro with Big Bang Theory... it's an awesome show!

I really love Kayley Cuoco... she is cute, my husband has a major crush on her too!

She had some awesome wardrobe changes too - very cute!!!

Neil Patrick Harris is hilarious... I love him!

The awards itself were pretty good... I - as always - have opinions and so along with sharing the results, I am including my opinions... it is, after all, Mandy's Mind.... Feel free to comment at the end with your own thoughts... Best Actress & Comedic Performance - Emma Stone

I was so thrilled for this! She is my girl crush and she is so amazing and talented. I am especially impressed that she beat out Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon (in WFE no less) and Jennifer Aniston.... way to go girl!

Day Time TV Host - Ellen

I loved that Ellen's clip was with Robert Pattinson. I was even MORE thrilled she won - love love love Ellen hard!

Comedy Actress - Lea Michele

I love Jane Lynch, I don't find Lea Michele funny or entertaining. Kaley Cuoco is HILARIOUS, as is Tina Fey. I have NO IDEA how on Earth Lea won.

TV Drama Actress - Nina Dobrev

Presented by hottie's Liam Hemsworth and Jennifer Lawrence of the upcoming Hunger Games.... I was rooting for Nina Dobrev (she used to reply to my tweets alot) I didn't like her dress, but I did love that she wasn't even on the ballot but still won.... hard core!

TV Comedy Actor - Neil Patrick Harris

I adore Chris Colfer and Neil Patrick Harris,t hey are funny... I love Cory Monteith but don't find him funny. Jim Parsons is CLEARLY the funniest in my opinion, but Neil Patrick Harris won. Why wasn't Jesse Tyler Ferguson get nominated? He is hilarious!!

Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Hutcherson presented Demi Lovato

Demi looked good, red hair, slightly too thin, a red dress which I don't like with red hair, but whatever. I really love her... but she seems to be pierced and tattoo'd a lot more than I recall?

She also won an award, pop artist.... Vanessa Hudgens looked like crap behind her during the speech... I've never liked Vanessa though...

Jane Lynch as "seat director" was hilarious: "Gimme Pattinson, Lautner with a Stewart split" (not Jon Stewart, Kristen Stewart) "boom a twilight sandwich" ha ha ha

"Is it a gut instinct?" no.. "I feel it a little lower than that, in my loins" ha ha ha

The cleaning crew for where Jersey shore sat last week... the tent city inside, the Mila Kunis placard in the tent, it was all hilarious

Lady Gaga's pant suit made of uranium, Kim Kardashian next to Ashton Kutcher was funny too... "doomed hollywood marriage"

Comedic Movie Actor - Adam Sandler

I was rooting for Steve Carrell because of the MOVIES that was my favourite... I didn't even see the Adam Sandler Movie, but you can never go wrong with him winning something in comedy. He has some epic speeches in the past, and the voice... ha ha never gets old (for me) His shout out's to teachers was awesome!

Under 25 - Chloe who?

Daniel Radcliffe, Tom Felton, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, or Chloe Grace Mortez (Who I have never heard of) It felt like an easy Harry Potter win... but no.. the Chloe girl won and "lilke, omg, totally" did her speech... I disagree... just saying.. but none of the HP cast were there which makes me wonder... what ARE the rules of these awards?

Fave Band - Maroon 5

So many amazing bands nominated, I am happy with Maroon 5, I'd have rather Adam accept it topless though ;)

Movie Drama - Water for Elephants

Presented by Zachary Levis and Ashley Greene. I was obviously rooting for WFE (or The Help) and thrilled WFE won. I loved Rob's hair... I am not a fan when it gets too long and this clean cut is sexy. I agree, why did HE get to accept the award, it WAS a lot of people... oh wait.. because he is Rob friggin-Pattinson... LOL would people care to see and/or hear Mr Waltz accept? nah!!

Pretty Little Liars ladies present a ton of awards really quickly... book - Harry Potter, Reality Star - Kim Kardashian, Album - Lady Gaga, sci-fi - supernatural, r&b artist - rihanna, movie superhero - green lantern, +++++++++++++++

TV Drama Actor - Nathan Fillion

Jennifer Morrison and Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon a Time) Presented. LOVE THEM... the presented nominess like a fairy tale - so cute... Obviously I was rooting for Ian Somerhalder, he is hot, a vamp, his gf Nina already won, but I love David Boreanez from Buffy...er Bones, and Patrick Dempsey from Grey's. I hear Castle is good too, but I haven't seen it yet.. meh.

Comedy Movie - Bridesmaids

Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley presented-rawr! I can't pick which I like more, they are both just different - both so hot.... I loved all the nominated movies, so friggin' funny... but I have a hard core crush on Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, so I suppose that would have been my pick... Bridesmaids was indeed the women's version of Hangover and so hilarious, any of the nominee's would have been a good choice!

Loved them singing Wilson Phillips

Faith Hill performed, she is awesome! It sounded like her music and singing was off at the start.. maybe it's the song?

1st ever Movie Icon - Morgan Freeman

Ewan McGregor presented... I saw him at the afi fest screening of Haywire in November in LA, he and some of the actors from the movie did a Q&A after - Channing Tatum wasn't there :( but it was still cool... Robert DeNiro, Harrison Ford, Tom Hanks, Morgan Freeman, George Clooney were all nominated. All are pretty epic. But Freeman is oldest I think... *shrugs* not sure what was up with his glove, but I could listen to his voice forever. He looked up definitions, Icon - tiny pictur eona computer screen, an image of someone who is saintly, representative of something... hmmm... He says he hopes he represents a working actor who is humbled to be nominated with the others and grateful for the honor... class act!!!

New tv drama - Person of Interest

Angus T Jones (kid from two and a half men) and the NCIS hottie presented... he is all grown up, I love him! We didn't hear the nominee's, but I do like the show a lot. Then they presented again.. New tv comedy - Two Broke Girls

I started watching this show but stopped... it was funny but I just missed a bunch when I was travelling and my pvr didn't tape it.

network tv comedy - How I met Your Mother

HIMYM, Modern Family, Glee, Two and a Half Men, Big Bang Theory... all amazing shows... The only one I don't watch regularily (because I want to watch from the start) is HIMYM.

Overall it was a great show... I love awards season! I bought a ton of party supplies for an Oscar Party.... squeeeee!

Kacie B getting the first one-on-one is not surprising he seems to like her a lot, but there is something about her I don't love. She just seemed kind of plain to me in the premiere. They had a sweet first date, but I feel like it was more the date and Sonoma and the memories of childhood than them... I don't know, how can those things NOT seem tender and special?

Group Date = 11 girls preparing a play written by children. Ha Ha Ha!

The kids made them act ridiculous during auditions then assigned them roles. Blakeley's outfit was pretty risque for kids, but how was she to know ahead of time that children would be there and judging her? LOL

THEN they performed in front of an AUDIENCE! with Ben's friends and the public!

Jenna was a wizard with a beard.
Jaclyn was a princess and got to kiss Ben at the end, but there were plenty of kisses, mostly pg given it was a family show...
Jennifer was a weasle who got to kiss Ben (as a lamb) along with Samantha the pig and Nicki the donkey
the "hooker-gingerbread man" was Blakeley ha ha ok just a gingerbread man
Emily was a hippy and Rachel a valley girl, they were supposed to kiss his cheek but he left stage too soon - later they pulled him aside to get their cheek kisses
Monica was a dragon and was hilarious and "blew Ben's clothes off"

It was cute and fun. After they had the rest of their date and of course that is where things got interesting... booze and sexy dresses.

I thought Blakeley's "its my rose" was funny, but the girls took it so hard and like she was being catty, I found it funny... Jaclyn called her a cougar ha ha she is 34!!! I don't think either will last, so let's have a brawl between the two ha ha apparently Samantha had issues with Blakely too as she was in the restroom pissed off ha ha - dramaz

In the pool the girls were all playful and fun, a bit of making out with Jennifer, Blakeley, then Blakeley got the rose... Jennifer should have!

By the couch the blondes were all gossiping and hating on Blakeley, I do think Ben prefers brunettes... when she showed up they all walked away ha ha

Courtney's rant to Lyndzi about the 1st impression rose was hilarious, she is just as I predicted, model-snotty girl... I wasn't happy she got the one-on-one date but hoped it would lead to her going home... except I was pretty sure she was shown in upcoming previews so I bet she will around for a while - sadly!

Her response - smug "how'd that taste coming out of your mouth" ha ha ha whatta bitch!!!

Ben brings his dog for his one on one date with Courtney "the model" I don't find her that attractive, though her personality has a lot to do with that. I hate how her eyes bug out when she talks and that she always has her mouth open all the time.

They had a good date, Ben likes her, but I think she's a bitch.

The cocktail party was good, Ben gave time to the girls he didn't have dates with first, which was sweet! Lindzi the first impression rose and horse riding girl was told she made a good impression which is why he didn't need the date. They had a great conversation and I started to hate her a lot less.

Samantha and Ben chatted since she was kind of drama on their last encounter during the group date. Blakeley came and interupted them, which is STUPID since she has a rose and is staying already! I have always hated this about rose holders at cocktail parties... she then proceeded to take him away AGAIN... wtf?

Blakeley talked about how it felt getting the rose on the group date. It got a bit catty. SURPRISE!

Jenna rambles like an emotional idiot - SURPRISE!

Ben starts to sense tension and emotions and seeks out crying Blakeley to chat... she is hiding behind the luggage... *eye roll* then there is Jenna crying in bed... Ben visits her too... the clock said 2am.. these parties really do go all night!

Blakeley - I do like her, I mean she is aggressive but she is hot and entertaining on the show like Michelle Money was

It is interesting that they were all told who the Bachelor was first, in their introductions they all talked about him, it was creepy, but I guess less creepy than talking about a stranger... not that he is NOT a stranger, but most saw him last season when bitch Ashley broke his heart... don't get me wrong, I loved JP til the end when he came on really stalkerish... but that is so last season....

Lot's of tears and sobbing, hugging, bad mouthing, Looks like Erika has a passout and it seems Ben finds love in the end... though the preview attempts to make it look like the girl in the black feathered dress turns him down, who knows - let's see.
