UDT : Acorn' Winners !

The second edition of the Unlimited Dirt Tournament ended Sunday, May 12th after 2 months of competition! Remember, the first edition was won by team Vod'R, ahead of NWT and ATR. This year Vod'R weren't here, the first place was going to be so competed!

It was NWT which launched the battle by ending the qualifications on the first place, ACTAF*1 accusing a delay of more than one second, the 2nd, and ATR completes the podium. These qualifications were used to cut the 48 teams in two brackets of 24 teams. The 24 betters in the first bracket, and the 24 lasts in the second bracket.

Despite their status of seeded players, several teams began their pool's phase with a hard group like Addict.Revo which faced SAW and DOS in Pool E or SPAM with Dore²Cuo and HOT in Pool D. No surprise after 3 weeks of group phase, the 8 seeded teams finished first of their group. At the end of group's phase, teams which finished third of their pools went in loser bracket.

During play-offs, the show was there with good fights like Ozone vs NWT1 - Acorn vs ATR - Addict.Revo vs Spam or ACTAF1 vs TMF. Both semi-finals were so closed, the first one with NWT1 and Addict.Revo ended on the score of 19 to 18, and the second one, Acorn' against TMF, ended on the score of 16 to 14. A very beautiful war was announced for the finale, a team that we see almost systematically in competitions final phases, and a team just created few months ago with many skilled players!

Finale gave us all we hoped, in spite of the unavailability of a NWT player on the last map, which has a little disturbed both teams at this moment. A hard fight tooks place during the 1v1 (won by NWT 7-6) as well as during the 3v3 (won by NWT 7-5). In spite of these three points beforehand, impossible to give a winner before the 5v5, so much the level on both sides was high! The 5v5 was won 7-3 by Team Acorn '. Final score : 18-17 for Acorn', a team which we didn't waited so far! A perfect tournament and a deserved victory for this team which we hope to see soon in tournaments!

CPLAY Tt eSPORTS picks up a Line-up !

After having disband from their past line-up on ShootMania : Storm, CPLAY decided to come back for more adventures! Indeed, they picked a new SM line-up. So the team, helped by their main sponsor Tt eSport, will try to do their best on all the cups around.

We wish good luck to this multigaming clan, that already has a Lol and CS:Go "pro" Line-up, and it is always a pleasure to see that great pro teams and structures continue to trust this new game.

They also announced a second line-up, that belongs to their academy. They will improve there and maybe become "pro" if they manage to sharpen their skill.

Hey Maniacs !

Some weeks ago, I published a news about a new project about a calendar website grouping all maniaplanet tournaments.

Some of you filled in a survey about the features you would like to see in it. Your answers will be taken in consideration for the development of this tool.

In the first article, I also asked you for some help and investment in this project to hope a future release of the tool. Many of you answered "I don't know" in the line "Would like to participate to this project ?", but some answered "Yes" and we are know three !

Let's have a look to the actual Maniagenda crew :

At the moment, the project is still in preparation and not in production.

We are thinking about the features to provide and the good tools to use. Some job is already started (logos, sketchs...) but we will not show you anything there !

New update!

NADEO just released their new ManiaPlanet update with a lot of little interesting things! Unfortunately, TrackMania users will have to wait a bit more and stay patient about the awesomeness to come, since this patch is mostly about ShootMania inprovement. 3D models, new blocks, some bug fixes and dynamic objects creations.

A new update is now available for (mainly) ShootMania Storm! One of the noticeable additions is the Arrow platform, where you can use the Arrow weapon which was featured in the Combo title pack. You are now able to add this weapon to all your maps, new and old."

The main changes are :

So what to expect?

This update that seems not "THE" update that everyone is waiting for, still brings some real interesting features that had to change, like the mousewheel in Combo mode for a easy weapons switch. The 3D models import feature is also one of the greatet things here, since you will be able, for example, to create some custom bots for your Titles and Gamemode creations.

The new Arrow Platform block

About new blocks, only ShootMania will get something new today, with the Arrow block that everyone expected! This block may change a lot of things, if mappers manage to handle it for their maps! We can not wait to see the Arrow weapon on competitive Elite games, or some crazy public royal maps!

So let's play!

The fifth Elite fast cup is over! With 2 foreign teams, 16 slots, one Lower Bracket, an english interview, some pro and amateur teams and a great mood, this fast cup was, according to coreplay.tt : "Awesome". We saw the cryums loose despite their great scores on the Lower Bracket. Is it the end of their reign?

Lots of people want some ShootMania cups, and we need help, we still search for an admin. Send us an MP to Evilmarmotte on LeetGamerZ website. You are also a lot to watch our streams, and i thank you for that.

Joust Cups

The first Joust cup was on Saturday. We saw some amazing gameskill, fastness and so powerfull game style thanks to ShootMania Joust mode. L'ancien and Tzench streamed the event. Congratulation to SoOn that won against Greg2farm in an impressive final. Antm won the 3rd place.

Next cups :

The second fast cup will take place the 18 May, 14h00 CEST, and will be once again streamed by L'ancien and Tzench. Do not hesitate to register there, there will be room for everyone, and again a Lower Bracket.!

Last bit not least:

5 servers are available during the whole week (not during the cup) . Just search them with "LeetGamerZ" keyword on the server browser.

District-prague LAN!

Hey folks, District-Prague.eu just announced their first LAN on ShootMania : Storm! So it will be the 9 June 2013, and there will be about 300 Euros cash price (prices may evolve, depending on registering)

So, for this edition, organizers did not want to take risks and chose the more than famous 3v3 Elite mode, with first GroupStages and then a single elimination Bracket. 20 teams are awated in the beautifull Prague town.

So no time to waste, and if you want to travel through Europe, register there.

Intro

The 11th edition of ESL's Tech team-tournament Competition Premiership was announced a while back, and ultimately 44 teams signed up this time.

Now all those teams have been put into divisions - mostly based on the results from the previous season - and you'll find those on page 2 of this news.

Bazigna TestCup, Trial run for some new maps

Friday the 24th Bazinga will hold a small cup. Their goal is to get some proper playtesting done on some of the maps that are being considered for the next mappack poll. The goal for the cup is to have fun and collect feedback on the maps.

The aim is to run a modest 8 team double elimination style of cup. But depending on interest this might change.

Pretty much anything but the date is up for change at this moment. Even the mappool might change if there is any map that gets knocked down from the top 9 picks made by me, MuNglo, of the over 80 maps thats been checked so far.

Some informations :

The tournament will be the friday 24th, 19:30 CET. Any updates, changes, rules and signed up teams will be on "Bazingas" manialink under the testcup section. This is restricted to EU players but not to teams, mixes are welcome to sign up. Hopefully this will be a fun night for all involved.

ESL CC 2013 - More information

ESL's Country Championship is around the corner and more information has now been spilled about it.

Read further to find out when the tournament will start, and also how the groups will look like!

Starting date

The tournament has now got a starting date, and it will be taking place at the same as the ESL Competition Premiership 11. That means the first matches will be on next Sunday May 19th.

Groups

Twelve nations signed up for this tournament and are divided into two groups. Germany and France who got top 2 last time will be placed in seperate groups. Third place finisher Hungary will be in the same group as the 1st seeded team.
