We don't have the telephone booths like that in the US, what we have are telephone units that are either stuck to a wall or in mini booths like these. And you won't see them out on the streets, but they are usually found inside buildings, usually malls or shopping areas. These ones run either on coins, or on prepaid cards (almost everything are run by prepaid cards nowadays!). Pretty sleek huh! And oh, don't ask me if the guy from the next unit can hear what you are saying...the answer would be a resounding YES!
