27 Repetitions (Repeat 4 times for 108 rounds = 1 mala = 40 minutes)
*Morning is the best time to chant, especially after bathing. But in the evening before dinner, or 3 hours after dinner is ok too.
**Once you learn it by heart, just practice on a mala, especially a lotus seed one, and it will take around 30+/- minutes to do 1 mala a day.

*If you recite this mantra daily 108 times financial worries, trouble will go away.

Adi Shankaracharya was possibly one of the great saints of his time.. After brahmopadesa, as is usual during those times, he was asked to beg alms for his lunch. One day when he went to a Brahmin house, the lady of the house was so poor that she did not have anything to give him. She searched hard and found one small fruit of gooseberry, which she gave to Sankara the boy. He was so touched by her gesture that he sang these 21 mellifluous hymns on Goddess Lakshmi, who poured golden goose berries as rain to the poor womans house. Even today it is believed that poverty would be banished by singing this hymn.

Shukra Stotra is in Sanskrit. It is from Shri Skanda Purana. This Stotra recollects auspicious names of Shukra. Whosoever recites this Strotra receives blessings from Shukra. He is blessed with long life, money, happiness, putra (Son) and prosperity. It is advised to recite this strotra every day with concentration, devotion and faith if Shukra (Venus) is badly affected in the horoscope. Shukra if is in 6th, 8th or 12th house then it is called as badly placed. If Shukra is alongwith Mangal (Mars), Saturn, Rahu, Ketu or Harshal then it may produce bad results. To avoid the bad effects of Shukra this Stotra is very effective. Hence try to recite it as advised above.

Bharadwaja is the rushi of Shri Shukra Stotra. Gayatri is the Chchanda. Shukra is the Davata (God) of this Stotra. To avoid all the bad effects from Shukra, I am reciting this stotra.
Shukra, Kavyaha, ShukraReta, Shuklambaradharaha, Sudhihi, Himabhaha, Kundadhavalaha, Shubramshu, ShuklabhuShaNaha are the auspicious names of Shukra.

2 nitidnyo (who knows good and bad), nitikrun (who always do right), nitimargagami (who always follow the right path), Grahadipaha (Leader of the planets), Ushana, ved, vedangaparagaha (who has got knowledge of Vedas and who is expert in it), Kavi (poet), Atmavit are the auspicious names of Shukra.

3 Bhargavaha, KaruNaSindhu (very kind), Dnyanagamya, Sutaprada all these are Shukras auspicious names.
4 Whosoever recites these names by remembering Shukra receives blessings from Shukra and lives a long life, becomes happy, receives ample of money, wealth, prosperity and real knowledge is bestowed upon him by Shukra.

Bharadwaja is the rushi, Anushtup is chanda, Shukra is Devata, and it is recited for Shukra devata.
1 I bow to Shukra, who knows every Shastra. We worship Shukra, who is a master of poets. Who gives whatever we desire.
2 Let My head be protected by Bhargava. Let my forehead be protected by Grahadhipaha. Let my eyes be protected by DaityaGuru (i.e. Guru of Demons). Let my ears be protected by ChandanDhutti.
3 Let my nose be protected by Guru of poets. (i.e. the best poet). Let my mouth be protected by Shukra, who is devoted by demons. Let my tong be protected by Choshana.
Let my throat be protected by ShriKanthaBhaktiman.
4 Let my arms be protected by Tejonidhi. Let my kukshi be protected by Manovraja. Let my naval be protected by Bhrugusuta. Let my middle part of the body be protected by Mahipriya.

Sukra when not favorable in our horoscope then we may receive troubles by Shukra. When Shukra is in aspect of/or with Mangal, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu or Harshal in the horoscope then Shukra is unable to produce good results and unsatisfied married life, No Santati Soukhya, No success in the life such type of bad results are seen. Hence this Kavacham is to be recited daily three times to be free from such troubles.
