Daddy would always say “See you at the house.” It was his desire that everyone would make their way back to the Father’s house. Little did we know that daddy would get there as soon as he did. This has been so unexpected and devastating. However, we are blessed beyond measure. The way that daddy loved and how he modeled relationships is how he taught us to do family. Our family is such a comfort and blessing, which includes all those daddy adopted as family along the way. The Lord answered daddy’s prayer, “Jesus give me your heart for people and Holy Spirit teach me to love Jesus like you do.” Because of this, our family has become the beneficiaries of our father’s love and is such a comfort during this time. Thank you for all the testimonies, pictures, thoughts and prayer. Our family is eternally grateful. It is our hope that daddy’s prayer would become yours and you would discover the joy that is Jesus.

Good morning beautiful people. On behalf of all the Hobbs family, we want to express our deepest appreciation for the multitude of prayer you have prayed for our husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He would tell you your prayers have been answered. At 10:43 this morning, he took his last few steps in the journey back to the house. He did so good and finished well. Our family is eternally grateful for how you have loved him. John W. Hobbs was one of a kind. There will never be another like him and we are so blessed. We will be posting service information and details as we have it. Be blessed.

There will be a family visitation on March 26th, 2022 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel (4108 College Rd, Wilmington, NC 28412).
The Celebration of Life for John Hobbs will be held on April 3rd, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Liberty Christian Fellowship (244 Williams Dr, Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948).

We are more than half way through our journey. What an amazing time walking in the steps of Jesus. Coming to Israel is always a transformative experience that brings both the scriptures and my own heart alive. Our fellow journeymen are walking in wonder of our Father who lavished such amazing love on us in His son, our Savior. Words fail His presence.

We miss all of you who could not make this journey with us, but hope you will be with us next year as we ascend Mount Zion again. Thank you for your prayer. We will be home soon.

Words cannot express what its like to feel the breeze that comes across the Sea of Galilee stirring thought of the crowds that gathered by its shore to hear the hope of the Father’s Kingdom. Or maybe its standing in the streets of Jerusalem knowing, “this is where my Savior walked.” Everywhere you turn the images of stories we have heard and read in scripture from the time we were young and in Sunday School come to life in vivid color and exciting sounds.

It far exceeded our expectations and yet it is only a drop of what the Father has for us. If you were here, send us a note about your time and what the Father did in your life.

Thanks to all of you who helped make this possible. Volunteers came from all over. Thank you to Blake for organizing all the food. You and your guys cooked a feast fit for a King.

The worship was unspeakable. Jonathan Helser and his crew showed us how to enjoy the goodness of our Daddy. “Our Daddy is in a good mood!” Don’t forget to check them out HERE.
