Kelly and I had so much fun on that shoot I decided i had to get her in for a black and white Project.

Kelly is busy finishing up her degree in Biokinetics, but is just getting started with her studies, she is planning on studying medicine next year.
Not only is Kelly beautiful and clever, she’s rather dangerous too! She has a love for fast cars and is also trained in Krav Maga, the Israeli defence force Martial arts! So she is not one to mess around with!

I kept Kelly in the studio for the shoot as thats the original Black and white project location. Considering i have taken a little break from the project, i thought it a good idea to go back to the original.
Sitting and chatting as I shoot away, is always awesome. I got to know about Kelly and her family, turns out the my brother and her dad worked at the same QS firm a couple of years back. SMALL WORLD!
Not only that, I found another person addicted to tea!!! Makes her the second Tea addict I have had in the project! and of course, a cup of tea made an appearance.

We did have a lot of fun and got some really great shots!

Danni and Jarno have been together for ages and got engaged last year. We had our first meeting over burgers about their wedding and engagement shoot many moons ago.
As crazy busy Veterinarians, they don’t have too much time in their schedules, we eventually nailed down a date. Man, was it worth the wait!

We meet up at The Sheds on Fox Street and went straight to The Good Luck Bar. The same place they had their engagement party. It is such a cool location and they could not have picked a cooler place to do the shoot. We played around there and then moved to a rooftop close by to get some cityscapes with the two of them.

This was so much fun! I can not wait for the wedding!

I posted that I wanted to shoot a couple for the project a few weeks back and got a Mail from Katelyn pretty quick!

When you see the photos you will see that I was very happy that she did. She said that she and her boyfriend, Jona,  have together for a while already and thought doing the black and white project would be fun…. and fun it was! They are both signed models, so it really worked out well.

Working two people on the couch was different and fun, getting the right reactions I was looking for is a little more tricky with a couple, but I was really happy with the photos we got. Something special for this edition of the Black and White project.

We started in studio, keeping it pretty dark and then went out to Sandton to catch the skyline.

The weather on the day set the tone for the wedding. It started out nice and cool and then the heat set in. The guys were all calm and collected while getting ready. The whiskey on ice and the banter given to Brett by the groomsmen.

Then we got to the ladies… this is where thing started hotting up. Jade and the brides maids were all on fire, having a whale of a time while getting ready. You could just feel the energy and excitement in the room.

This wedding was just fantastic. The awesome setting at Red Ivory Lodge was fitting for a great wedding day and the heat only added to the energy and fun of the wedding with everyone ready to have a great party and celebration.
I must say that this was one of the most fun weddings I have had the opportunity to photograph.

Brett is one of those guys…. The guy that does it all! He’s a businessman, artist, action junky, stage athlete and then he has some epic tattoos too.

I got in touch with him when I decided to run with the tattoo series and after 3 weeks of busy schedules we eventually got to do the shoot.

Like I said earlier, this is definitely a shoot for the ladies….. and anyone who is a fan of tattoos

So, with the album in mind, I thought how cool would it be to photograph someone with a number of tattoos on their body.
I spent a few days searching for someone that would yield the type of result I was looking for… And then I found Cath!!
What a winner, a fantastic lady with awesome Tattoos all over her body!

Tattoos on her Legs, Tattoos on her Arms, Tattoos on her Stomach and a Tattoo across her Chest! All done with incredible detail by an awesome tattoo Artist, Candy McLaren Lewis From EyeCandi Tattoos.

So this edition of the Black and White Project is a little different as Caths Tattoos were the focus.
It was really a fun shoot and I managed to get some very cool photos showing the tattoos off.

While getting to know Jana a little while doing the other shoot I asked her if she would be keen on doing this project.

So we organized the shoot and it then that I found out that she’s an all round complete athlete successful in her other areas of interest.
Jana is a Springbok Horse rider, and used to compete in the Equitation Divisions, riding for the SA Boereperd Teams.

But for Now, Jana has got her eyes focused on the Stage fitness arena, competing where she can.

We had a good laugh doing this shoot as it was after her competition which means all eating plans were out the window! Sour sweets, Jelly Beans and A box of Oreos did make an appearance!
Jana has her own ways of doing things, which I always find entertaining in people, their “idiosyncrasies”. This was apparent with the way she ate her jelly beans!!
2 bowls are required, one for the “cold” colours, Yellow, green and blue and the one for the warm colours, Orange, red and Purple. Then the cold ones get eaten first because “that’s Just how its done”… ENTERTAINING!!!

We finished up the shoot at Urban Grind in Parkhurst and had a very good cup of Coffee there!

Obviously, my Beagle Leo, makes another appearance in my Black and White project with Jana.

Jana is now back in Training preparing for her next competition!

I got to do this shoot with them a good couple of weeks ago, before they jetted of to Canada to take part in the North American WBFF competition.

Ashleigh subsequently won the competition, getting crowned THE WBFF North American Pro Bikini Champion 2015! Stiaan Placed to 5!!

Having had a chance to sit and chat with them while we were doing this shoot was quite and experience.

Not only did I get to see how motivated and dedicated they are to their sport, Stage Fitness, but I got to see how this power couple are totally dedicated to one another. They shared their daily routine with me, sleep, food preparations, number of eggs consumed weekly and how they push and motivate one another.

The next WBFF competition they will be competing in will be held in Las Vegas in August!

When Liela got in touch with me to shoot her wedding, I know it was going to be fun. She and Danie are such a fun couple and I had the most awesome weekend on the Matoppi Bushveld Farm capturing their special day.

Set in the heart of the bushveld in Limpopo,the game farm is beautiful and the lodge is fantastic.

I have photographed a number of weddings, but none can compare when it comes to the amount of detail that went into this wedding, Everything was decorated beautifully under the trees where they got to share their vows with one another and the reception was fantastic!!

This was one spectacular wedding and the party went looong into the night with everyone having a great time.
