Benefit They're Real Mascara

Lets talk about Mascara. Benefit They're Real mascara has received great praise since its release last year for being able to give you that false lash look. Considering most mascaras on the market make this claim, only experience can tell you if this is true. Here is my experience with this mascara.

The claims say 94% of people saw dramatic length and volume, 90& saw base to tip curl, 94% saw visible lift, and 100% saw long wearing results.

As you can see there is a visible length effect with this mascara. The wand being very similar to the famous Covergirl Lash Blast can give you the similar effect of length, but minus the rounded end of the brush which can reach into the inner corners.

There is some lift and curl, granted I already have a little bit of curl so there is not a drastic change there for myself, but I could imagine some lashes could benefit from this lifting action.

As far as volume goes, that I did not see a big difference, which usually is my main goal with mascara. I like volume and length but got more length out of this mascara. Long wearing sure, but if you really need long wear you can always do waterproof.

Just for a little comparison another picture with my other mascara at the moment, MAC False Lashes you can see volume and dark black color, with decent length but Benefit's They're Real certainly triumphs in the length department.

Overall I wouldn't say you need this mascara if you have Lash Blast, but you can certainly build some serious lashes with this mascara if that is your hearts desire.

I wore a Micheal Kors sweater I found at the Rack for only 18.00, it has a cowl collar and can double and an overlay. Its a great cream color and kept me warm under my faux leather A Symetrical jacket which I am wearing in beige. I wore black boots, and black Jeggings as per usual as an "im late to class" basic.

I have been using the Pink Travel Case Sigma brushes since November of 2011. I adored the Pink casing and portability factor of the brushes. I had and continue to hear rave reviews on their brushes although this is an older feature of their product selection, seems the synthetic brushes are now the ones gaining praise.

The kit is 49.99 and comes with 7 brushes. Since the ones they feature on the website now are a little bit different I will just tell you the general feel for the brushes.

This is what the case looks like open. Comes with all these brushes but two of them were special gifts with purchase. The blending brush (217 dupe) and the foundation brush on the end.
The brushes left to right are a 187 type of brush (stippling brush), an angled contour brush, a large powder brush, a blending brush ( similar to mac 224), an eye shader brush, a concealer brush, and blending fluff(217 dupe) and a foundation brush. The pink zipper on the end is to store any lipsticks or odds and ends you might want to put in it and fits the two extra brushes in it as well.

This is the pouch size folded up, I know you cant see it too well but its very compact and portable.

It has a flap to protect your brushes from dirt and grime when you throw them in your purse.

The brush set comes with a duo fibre brush much like a Mac 187, but the brush head is much smaller then a 187, so I would say its most comparable to a Mac 188 but a little more dense. I have a picture below of the 187 and this one.

The blending brush is probably my favorite brush because it does do a really good job blending and I find even through the 13 washes I have put it through it has not frayed.

These are the Mac 224 and the Sigma tapered blending brush. The 224 on the left is bigger and the Sigma one is becoming a little frayed( understandable as it gets thrown around in my purse).

This is the powder brush next to a 129 by Mac and the density is very similar but the 129 is a little more tapered and still continues to be champion of blush brushes.

Here is the Mac 187 next to the stippling brush by Sigma. It is much smaller but still dense. Yes they are dirty they do not come with pink tips or beige..

That's a short overview of some of the brushes in the kit, now overall the quality of the kit I give it a B-. The brushes have lasted me and seem to continue to last and are perfect when you do not want to take your most expensive tools on the go. The pink handles are adorable and are pretty sturdy. My favorite brush in the kit is actually the 217 dupe which came as a bonus with the kit. I would recommend the kit, but take it with consideration, as the new kit that has replaced this one is slightly different brushes.

Grade: B- not bad!

Model Makeover, Brandy Renee Lea

I had the pleasure of doing some test makeup for a local musician and singer, Brandy Renee Lea, who by good looks and talent, happens to also fall under the classification of a model. Being accustomed to having makeup done, I was able to get a little creative and bold with her makeup, although orginally my inspiration was Halle Berry type subilty. I strayed away from that and did a little experimenting with lines and colors. Some I liked, while some could have been better. I am going to use these photos for a very exciting opportunity, that I will reveal at a later date when I find out!

A Sprinkle of Spring by H&M All these items came from H&M during their transition to Spring Closets Pink Blazer Pastel it is! The picture may read a little hot pink, but this is actually Pastel Pink. I can see this blazer going a hundred ways depending on your imagination of color pop's and neutral pairings. I love the subtle high-low design in the jacket and although not as noticeable, the fabric is almost like an imitation tweed, very trendy.

Some Black Booties...To go with everything and very much a spring staple for that more fashionable outfit for maybe a night out or just a weekend with your gal pals. I do have a hesitation about the quality. Since it is H&M, I am a little worried of these giving out on me quickly since they are suede...What do you think about the quality of their shoes?

A silk scarf... Looks expensive, but is an artful,preppy but cheap way to add some color to an outfit, a little bit of something to stare at when you shirt screams plain-ness.

Bare Bones Guide to Mac Brushes

Lets face it, although interest in the MAC brand weans and waivers, Mac delivers. Obviously this is subject to opinion but I don't know even one girl who does not at least own one product that she considers a staple.

Mac brushes are something that are hyped, talked about, promoted, and regarded as artist tools. Often at the Mac Counter you are asked if you have the right brush for the job. In an effort to avoid a sales pitch we say we already have it and we take our things and leave. I found that when I took the time to trial some of the brushes and the way my makeup looked with them and without them I noticed a significant difference. Sometimes that 3 dollar powder brush does you justice for blush, but the 10 dollar foundation brush may leave you looking streaky and uneven. Sometimes people blame their products for an undesirable result, when sometimes you may need to look at the tools you are applying them with. Wasting 10 dollars here and there on random brushes from places like Ulta,and Target ends up adding up in the long run when you should really make your investment with brushes you can have for years( with proper care) and that give you next to near professional results with ease.

Over the three years I have tested and worked with many makeup brushes I have come to find my essentials mainly with MAC, and that is not because of a brand bias, but because of trial, cost and availability. Many brushes that are raved about on Beauty Guru sites are often not available in store for you to see and test. I like seeing a product I am gonna spend a good chunk of change on, and know that there is a flexible return policy should the brush not perform to the expectancy. Mac brushes are not cheap, but they are an investment in your craft if you do makeup, and a way of pro longing the life of your cosmetic products and achieving optimal results. Sounds like a lot of hype for these brushes but let me share with you the ones that stick out to me as daily essentials.Here are 4 brushes I consider to be essential and a sort of bare bones look at the brushes I think makeup junkies should take a look at.

The Mac 187 is a well known brush for all things liquid, foundation, cheek product...but did you know you can also use it for a sheer application of powder. Those times when you just need a little setting powder and not a dense full coverage application you can use the 187 and get a flawless finish just as it does for foundation.

The 129 is a powder brush but I find it doing the bronzing and blushing work in one easy application. Because of the bigger brush head it is able to disperse more product in the right amounts on your face. This is one of those brushes where I thought I could get away with just any blush brush, when I learned that this could be one of the most important tools for making blush look natural and polished.

The 239 is an eyeshadow brush meant for packing on color. When I want a dense application of eyeshadow and really want to make a color opaque I use this brush for true to pan coloring on the lid. There are brushes like the 242 and 252 which use synthetic fibers and cover a larger space but I find that with the goat hair it is able to pick up more pigment and really PACK it on.

Lastly, but not least in my bare bones guide to Mac brushes is the 224. This little baby introduced me to something known as blending.Blending is the top ingredient for polished and beautiful eye work. The classic smoky eye is unachievable without something like the 224 to really help you achieve a gradient blend and blow out the eye shadow. It can give you effortless crease definition, and quickly without going over and over the same area.I forgot to mention that to keep the MAC logo and number on the brushes you can put a little clear nail polish over it, and it will keep it there for longer. Mine had already faded a bit after a year of use and forgetting to put the nail polish on at the get go. If you have hesitations about your need for brushes, I recommend buying them from somewhere you trust, and with a flexible return policy. That gives you more assurance that if you absolutely hate it you can take it back. I think that with a little practice you will notice a big change in the way you do, and see your makeup.

Do you ever get those urges....those urges that just take control of your brain, your body and soul..You cannot stop thinking about them until you see that pretty piece of eye candy and you JUMP on it. The act results in relief, and you are satisfied for a short period, until it strikes again. Girls, you know what I am talking about. It is that urge to buy, to have something new, to have something to talk about, to show off, to revel in the glory that is beautiful and potentially vain. Us girls, we thrive on a little excitement like that don't we ;). The eye candy this week is by Diane Von Furstenburg. A pastel pink button up silk blouse I spotted at Nordstrom yesterday.

Think of the possibilities girls. This median price range piece from Diane, is a true salute to this Spring's fashion trends. It incorporates the pastels that are emerging with the same flowly and bohemian shape we have seen through the last couple years. This top can be endlessly paired, and I can think of many casual to dressier combinations you can pair this blouse with. As is it seen here with a bright blue pant, it is playing into springs colorful play of mixing brights, neons,and pastels, but I am envisioning more of a high waist-ed skirt, some colorful wedges and pearls to bring this from trendy to classic. What's Wrong With Me?

It has been several months since I have posted anything on my blog. Sure, many bloggers post infrequently and can attribute it to their "busy" lives. I cannot blame my lack of blogging on such "busyness". I have spent the last couple months in school, being ill, and on vacation with a return to school this past week. I wake up and love the clothes that hang before me, but want to wear nothing but sweat pants and sweatshirts(cute ones of course). I adore my makeup collection in the corner but the pimple on my face discourages my 20 minute makeup regimen, and I find my tube of Diorshow to be my single daily staple. I go to the mall, and instead of lusting every espadrille, boot, and cardigan I see, I simply pick it up off the display and move on.

What's Wrong With me!

I haven't lost my love for all things pink, pretty and with a bow, but is this what they call a rut?
I will not blame my apathetic attitudes on the incessant rain we receive here in Oregon because it is my love for fashion that keeps me going through a rainy day.

How to look like you feel 100% when you feel 50%

Its Thursday, the end of my school week, so time to put on some real clothes, and engage in a little socialization to begin my weekend. The look this Thursday is casual, a little black and blue glitter on the eyes, pink cheeks, and shiny skin.

Products I used:

UD 24/7 liner on upper rims, and lower rims of eyes

My outfit is a purple dress with a cinched waist, which I belted with a cognac belt. I am wearing studded boots that are taupe to play with the purple in the dress. I will throw a leather jacket over this to complete the look.

and lastly the secret to looking like your 100% but really you could just as easily go snuggle up in bed to Grey Anatomy...Smiling :)

A fabulous beauty blogger named Brittany nominated me for the "Stylish Blogger Award"! I appreciate the love and recognition and love the idea of promoting new bloggers!We all have something to say in this beautiful world of beauty! In accepting this recognition, I would like to share 7 things about myself!

I am part Mexican ( my mothers side) and part Libyan ( fathers side) but am only bilingual in Spanish/ English..well barely:)

My favorite place I have visited in the United states is New York City. The magnitude of life and culture there blew my mind. There is so much beauty to such a crowded and busy place. I am so in love, that I would love to go live there when I find the money tree!

I used to work for Nordstrom. I was both a sales associate, and when I got the chance did some personal shopping. It was incredible, but also terrible at the same time. I want to share some of my musings as a Nordstrom employee with all of you sometime in the near future.

One company I HATE is Abercrombie and Fitch, As a former employee of their Ruhel Store, and seeing how things tick in there, they are truly terrible company to their employees, and promote images of falsified "American Beauty". I do not believe in what they stand for, and feel strongly about this.

I study communication, but I rather be studying fashion. If I could afford it, I would be at F.I.D.M, studying fashion merchandising. Dont you think we would be rocking space wear by now?

The movies 50 years ago depicted us the "space people", to be living futuristic lives, in funky space suits, living on stand alone crafts far out in the nights sky. I can refer to the Disney movie "Zenon Girl Of The 21st Century." ha.ha.ha
I loved that movie, her outfits were so *rad* and her lifestlye was pun intended out of this world.

However; the point of my post isnt how cool she was, or the TV show. Wasn't it presumed we would be sooo cool right now. When I say sooo cool, I am referring to fashions. Yes, living in space is pretty cool, but what about our wardrobes??

Right now I am seeing the same clothing over and over, since 2008.

I love boleros, cropped tops, layering, scarves, the military, the edgy rocker girl, the open heart cardigan....oh how the open heart cardigan has stayed in our wardrobes for as long as I remember caring about fashion.

I may gripe about these things, I still wear them. Call me a hypocrite, but the thing is I havent seen anything at the stores in the past year that has screamed "PICK ME, PICK ME" Like Donkey bouncing up and down in Shrek. I love fashion, and started this blog for fashion, but I feel so bored by what designers ( those of a affordable caliber) have to offer me. I know it is not that just because I am not shopping at Kitson, that I am not finding quality duds, that scream fashion. Couldn't Nordstrom BP section take a step past 2008 and come out with some new things.

I love these neutral looks as much as the next girl, and I know I would recieve a lot of "Hate" about this post, if enough people took the time to read this jibberish, and encode it. What I am ranting about, is the lack of diversity of clothing at the stores, and I am making an excuse as to why I do not put up fashion posts more often. I want to feel inspired again by clothing. I do love things, and part of loving fashion, is knowing how to make things your own.

I do put twists on the modern re-do's of the past couple of years, but I feel there are things I want to see that I am not seeing at the stores I frequent.

"Instead of griping, why dont you do something about it?"I ask myself rhetorically.
I would love to, I need the hands to my brain though. I have visions of glamour, and effortless style carried by women of all shapes, sizing, and standing. I know not everybody will love one style, but I want to see something that I would love, and hopefully people who share my taste would love as well. I will update when I see items that bring me inspiration.

A "Wanting" Lifestyle

We thrive off of consumerism, it makes money valuable and the economy prosper. People get scared and stop spending, but yet we are exposed to people with money they are not afraid to spend, they are not in fear of not having enough. Business are in the business of making money of course, convincing you that you need everything they put out. What is the most useful tactic in dong so? Making you believe you cannot be your best without the things business provide, you cannot amount to other peoples expectations, societies expectations, and you will soon start to see yourself fall short of your own expectations.

I cant quite recall what turned me onto liking fashion. I know my mom isnt a big enthusiast, and doesn't spend a lot of money on the matter. I, on the other hand will spend my itty bitty paychecks on something to improve or update my wardrobe. I will work long hours to get those little heels I cant walk in, but love to look at. I know this seems impractical, but I think somewhere in the process of growing to love fashion I also adopted the "Want" mentality. I "Want" everything I see that appeals to my fashion sense, I often "Must" have it, and will obsess over it to get it. When I was younger there was something maybe every season I would really want, and beg my mom to get me. As I grew older and started working, I would have crazier and larger desires, and would Want everything my paycheck could get me, neglecting the initiative to save my money in the pursuit of "wanting" the best, "wanting" to be the best, and out doing myself every time.

A YouTube culture many are familiar with of "Hauls" are people sharing what they bought with the YouTube community. It is not to brag but rather to share, but at the same time gives the purpose of giving people ideas of what to spend their money on, what to "Want", and companies can utilize these tactics in creating a "Want" Lifestyle.

I love the idea of working hard and buying something that you truly love and will use often. This "Want" Lifestyle does not condone the same idea. It is more empowering of giving people desire to have something, even if they dont really use it, or need it. They think they need it, so they "Want" until they have it.

After coming home with a few things I got with my Christmas giftcards, I thought will I give this the love and attention it deserves. I found that the sentimental value behind the less expensive items I was given at Christmas helped me form an attachment to the items, while the ones I picked out were simply superficial and my version of glamorous.

Dont misunderstand the idea that I dont think we need any superficial items. We all need a good pair of boots, some nice clothing to make us feel our best, and express ourselves, and the ability to sustain ourselves. I just have come to a realization that in the beginning of this "wanting" lifestyle I have set myself up to be disappointed in it.

For example say I buy a pair of Steve Madden heels that I will use and love, but then someone on a YouTube haul shows a pair of Louboutins, and suddenly I need the Louboutins, the Steve Maddens at 82.99 ( which is still not cheap when you are working for minimum wage) become pennies to the pair of Louboutins which you will save many months to have, along with the Steve Maddens in hopes that you will be better, more glamorous, and more like the girl on YouTube who can afford the heels along with 15 other things.

This is not a rant on people who can afford more then I can at this present time. IT is an explanation of where the "Wanting" comes from, where it is empowered, and enabled. Sure some people have the will power to fight it off, and some don't care. People who are interested in Fashion and Makeup and things of a aesthetic degree usually care. They usually want the latest and greatest, as computer nerds do with computers, Video gamers with games, and gnome collectors with gnomes. It can become a hobby, but an expensive one at that.

I find that I am not ever satisfied, which is the sad part of a "Wanting" Lifestlye. I always "want" more. I love something on Monday, but Tuesday am sad and "Want", no NEED something new that will make me happy. Maybe it is more then a superficial desire to have something, I will admit that. It could be that I am trying to entertain a sense that is unfulfilled,but I merely distract it with material items that often sit in my closet for long periods of time.

I am scared sometimes that I will not have everything I need for the perfect outfit, or will not have things as good as others around me. Silly it sounds, but it is a fear of loss of power that manifests itself in my desire to have everything. My mom thinks I could sure turn that ambition to have nice things into an ambition to get ahead in life. I would love to get ahead in life, but the thought of getting ahead, growing up, it truly scares me.

Maybe here on this sheet of paper, I have come to a revelation that in my poor grammar, and writing I am discovering what it is I really "Want". A purpose. I can agree, that I do not know yet what my purpose in this world is. Yes I love clothes, I would love to put out of this world clothing on a runway and have it walk into peoples homes. I do not want to design, I want to inspire. I dont want to create "Wanting", I "Want" people to love what they have, and truly feel something by it, instead of a lack of fulfillment as I often do.

Now, I still really would like a pair of Louboutins one day. Who doesnt admire the classic red sole, its a symbol really. A symbol of elegance and success. I know that I "Want" that,but I can wait to lust after such things after I learn to love my Steve Maddens for what they are and what they represent. A devotion to good shoes, and an attempt at fufillment.

A product worth mentioning

You avid beauty seekers are familiar with the idea of concealer to hide imperfections. It is probably the most useful beauty product to me because I have dark under eye circles that I detest. If I wear nothing else on my face I wear concealer so that I dont look like I havent slept in 100 years, which I find can be the case often.

I was looking at the amazing cosmetics concealer at ULTA which retails for 28 dollars, and is 0.2 oz. I tried it ans liked it, quite thick and opaque and covered but a little too thick so a few moments later I saw it creasing under my eyes. I wandered over to the drugstore section, and to make a long story of browsing and "ooh and "aah-ing" short, I picked up ConcealRX by physicians formula.

This product has .49 oz and retails for about 8 dollars. There are select coupons, often taped to the front of the product that invite a 2 dollar or 3 dollar off at the register. For the price this really performs quite well on both the under eyes and the face. It was comparable to the amazing cosmetic concealer, and as compared to another one of my concealers Pro Longwear by MAC, which sets much faster and has similar coverage but is a little less creamy and smooth for the under eye area.

The reasons I liked it were that it was opaque without being too goopey, or cakey under the eyes. It also covers on the face. It claims on the box to last up to 12 hours, and I have only had about 8 with this but still pretty good!!

I think in the business of fashion, and beauty we all need inspirations and authorities to guide us in the complex business of fashion and beauty. There are so many trends, products, and choices out there it is nice to be provided with a plethora of information and inspiration. Besides Kim Kardashian who is a style icon of mine, as well as many others, I have seen many YouTube who's style ( referring to personality or personal style) really captures my attention, and I feel they should be recognized yet again although I know they are recognized by fans and beauty professionals alike.

This Beauty Blogger and Makeup Professional is a stunning beauty herself.She reings as a professional in the field. Not only is she stunning, as well as her family too (sheesh!), but her personality radiates for miles outside the computer screen. She was the first video guru I ever watched on YouTube, and what turned me onto makeup in the first place. Another vlogger I recently subscribed to is called "Theultimatemakeup" I just recently found her while searching for videos on "The Balm makeup brand" which I have recently been turned on to, but have not found much information on. When I clicked her link and started watching, I was so impressed by her sweet and communicative tone of voice, and her in-depth review of a product I was curious about. I thought " Where has this girl been all my YouTube viewing career?". She has an array of videos about very good cosmetics that are sometimes not that often revised on YouTube. She really has a flair for good makeup and what are bound to be hit products, and she is taking off on YouTube. She is very pleasant to watch. Another very sweet and impressive/inspiring things is she knows and notices her subscribers. Only a day after I subscribe I get a message thanking me for subscribing. That has never happened before, and not only that but when I message her back, she responded. It really showed me how caring she is about her subscribers, and how important it is to her. I felt touched, and important and would love to interview this girl about her start on YouTube, and how she got started, and why she does it.

Alli is a newer Vlogger who started in July 2010, and shares tricks and tips she has learned in creating makeup looks. She is very skilled, and seems to be a chameleon, adapting looks from Kim Kardashian to Victoria Secret models. Her confidence exudes in her makeup application and advice,and I look to her videos for some inspiration with new looks. I love her adaptations, and she has even introduced me to a new product that I love, "Eye-Bright" by Benefit. I hope she continues to make videos because they are so fun to watch, and I really enjoy her style.

Have to dress all in black for work(boring!) So I decided to post a quick face of the evening (at work) segment right before I go in!

I used Chanel Bronze Universal on cheeks and right beneath cheeks
Wet N wild Mega Glo Highlight powder in catwalk pink
Luna Cream color base on lids with Painterly paint pot
Studio Finish and Pro long wear concealer ( Will be reviewing)
Benefit Eye bright
Mac Ladyblush on apples
NYX mauve lip-liner
Too faced glamour gloss in pillow talk

I have been seeing a whole lot of animal print in the stores lately,Forever 21, Nordstrom, H&M.Animal print dresses, skirts, Jewelry, the faux fur jackets, its in everything inspired by the little fuzzies we love. When I searched runway for spring, I sure enough saw more animal print to appease the tigers of the Himalayans. This was one of the major trends for Fall 2010, but is seems as if the trend is forwarding its way into spring, designers such as Cavalli, and Givenchy have shown us that animal print is coming in fierce for spring, and while I thought it might of been passing, I am happy to forecast that it is here to stay, for I love it! My amateur picture is me wearing animal print leggings, a nude tank, and a blazer( which would be cuter if the blazer has a tailcoat to it, with some tall black boots( a staple in wardrobe). I think this trend is very cute and fierce because you can pair it simple neutrals in wardrobe or you can mis-match patterns ( another trend ) to make a fierce outfit.

Playing in Pink

I was bored at midnight, havent felt like getting out of my raggedy clothing all day so instead of dressing my body, I dressed my face in pinks. Just for fun look, not an everyday look of mine.

I used a 32 color eyeshadow palette from E.L.F, only 5 bucks at Target!
I also used a NYX jumbo pencil in yogurt as a base
Followed it with a all over shimmer color from the palette, a light pink
I used the hot pink in the crease and inner corners , onto the lower lash line and tear duct.
I used a lil bit of brown in the crease
BadGal lash in plum for mascara
and no eyebrows

I used Dollymix on the cheeks, Bahama mama bronzer as a contour, then Rimmel Pink blush lipstick on lips, topped with NYX pink frost lip gloss.

I think the lips are a bit frosty for my taste, but its all for the fun of it!!

On my face she used:
Mac Skin Visage base-( which the next day make my skin feel really smooth, thinking about getting this)

Mac studio sculpt foundation NC25 (This I thought was going to make me look cakey, but with the 187 duo fibre brush she used it made my skin look flawless instead.

Select Moisture Cover Concealer(Good for undereyes, not heavy enough for my taste, I prefet the pro-longwear concealer)

Then on the lid she used : Orb (highlight), Saddle (base all over color) Haux( crease) Shadowy lady(outer corner and near tearduct, and on bottom lashes)

Haute& Naughty Lash( seems ok, she couldnt use the regular brush on me)

Gingerly Blush with Peaches on the Apples( I really liked this combination, although I tried Peaches one other time and couldnt get it to show up)

Hush Cream Color Base for highlight and the dewy effect( this is so perfect for dewy skin!)

So Chaud Lipstick

I bought a few things, The 187, Their Tinted Moisture ( figured I would use it more then a full on fonudation) Dollymix blush( I love pink) Gingerly blush, So chaud lipstick, and Hush Cream Color base!

A Lemming by any other name is not as cute as this small rodent..

When I typed Lemming into google it gave me this picture.

What I was thinking of when I thought "Lemming" was this and I started drooling

OH MY GOSH, of all things mighty and sparkilicious whats better then walking on sequin air! I am absolutely obsessed with these UGG boots, that are not even available in my size until February I am told. Here is where a "Lemming" as I know it is born, a strong desire to have something.

I feel like my life recently is a constant desire to have. I want everything, isnt that the classic American mentality, to want it all? I literally crave these boots, like a women on her period craves chocolate. I was told my Nordstrom that the Gold are available in some colors, and the black ones are in highest demand and on back order. These not only are show stoppers, but are some of the most comfortable shoes ever. Lets face it, heels are not comfortable, and if you say they are you are lying! They are cute but I would way rather walk 1000 miles to my non existent prince charming in these,or just to the club:)

I found these browsing Nordstrom website, as I do on routine, but apparently there were deemed one of "Oprah's favorite Things" So everybody in her audience and their neighborhoods probably scooped up the whole supply :(
Oprah is great, but when little Oregonians girls find something they can look forward to getting up early for Oprah becomes the anti- UGG.

Some of the new items from MAC's Stylishly yours collection launching on December 26th, perfect for those of you who receive gift cards for Xmas.The top ones are some cream color bases, which if you dont know you can use on your eyes, lips, cheeks, really however you want. The fluidlines are gel eyeliners, the brown one I have now I use almost everyday. The lipsticks are calling my name, and I think I know a girl who would love them as well (Im looking at you Sara!)\
As you can tell I am attracted to color, comfort, and Style. I am going to window shop the stores tomorrow and report my findings then, and as soon as I can find my dagnab camera charger I can take some real pictures!

Shades of grey, plums maroons, did I mention BOOTS!?

Among the incessant rain of Portland, Oregon the ray of light amongst the cold, wet weather is the clothing. "50 degrees today?!" What a pleasant excuse to wear over sized sweaters, leggings, and UGG boots. "MMMM" Sounds cozy to me. Here are a few pieces I have personally picked up for this dreadful yet, opportunistic weather.
