The last thing "being wild" means is seeking drug-thrills or being promiscuous. Wild does not mean hanging out in a bar, getting drunk, and wrecking your new car in a cow pasture. Wild is not about your gang slipping into the school at night and trashing the hallways and running off into the night howling with feral laughter. Wild is about real adventure, either in the world, or in the mind.

It is been a long time I left India but the sweet memories and tremendous experiences I had in this country are not to be easily forgotten.

In Indian society, women were usually subject to various caste-rules and severe restrictions. They remained illiterate and were ill-treated. Female infanticide was often practiced.

One of the most incredibles places I've been in incredible India was Amritsar, home of the Golden Temple and spiritual and cultural center of the Sikh religion.

I like to educate myself and read and talk almost to the exhaustation until enters my brains to never get out.

This morning talking with my friend Avtar I got to learn a bit more about some symbols and could not help on going for a deeper research to find about this gorgeous people and their immense wisdom.

I found a very pretty and touching piece from Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism.

Guru Nanak challenged the idea of inferiority and evil associated with women and freed her from slavery and taboos of the society. In one of his hymns, he said:

From woman, man is born; within woman, man is conceived; to woman he is engaged and married. Woman becomes his friend; through woman, the future generations come. When his woman dies, he seeks another woman; to woman he is bound. So why call her bad? From her, kings are born. From woman, woman is born; without woman, there would be no one at all. O Nanak, only the True Lord is without a woman. That mouth which praises the Lord continually is blessed and beautiful. O Nanak, those faces shall be radiant in the Court of the True Lord. || 2 || (Page 473)

Guru Nanak and his successors gave woman a status equal to that of man. They regarded woman as man's companion in every walk of life. The Gurus thought this equality worked to their mutual benefits. For example, woman is the first teacher of man as his mother. Her function is to mould children and discipline them. She has to be educated so that her children may develop their potential to the fullest. She was allowed to join holy congregations, participate and conduct them. They were appointed missionaries. They were called 'the conscience of man'. The practice of Sati, (the custom of burning a woman with the dead husband on the funeral pyre), was prohibited and widow-remarriage was encouraged. Women soldiers fought side by side with male soldiers in one of the battles which the tenth Guru fought.

In the Sikh way of life, women have equal rights with men. There is absolutely no discrimination against women. Women are entitled to the Khalsa baptism. They have equal rights to participate in social, political and religious activities. Women are allowed to lead religious congregations, to take part in recitation of the holy scriptures, to fight as soldiers in the war, to elect representatives to the Gurdwara committees and Indian Parliament and Provincial Assembly. Sikh women have played a glorious part in the history, and examples of their moral dignity, service and upholding of Sikh values are a great source of inspiration. Sikh women never flinched from their duty, never allowed their faith and ardor to be dampened, and have always upheld the honor and glory of the Khalsa. (One famous example is that of Mai Bhago (Mata Bhaag Kaur) who bravely fought war for Guru Gobind Singh, when some Sikh soldiers deserted him and returned home).

Ir à Polônia não estava na minha top list de lugares para se conhecer; no entanto, a vontade de ir para um lugar fora do circuito fez com que eu escolhesse esse país para uma mini-férias de começo de primavera.

Varsóvia foi uma grande surpresa: percebi a minha ignorância sobre Polska, sobre a II Guerra e principalmente sobre como o país ainda cura a sua ferida.

A Polônia foi o primeiro território a ser invadido pelos alemães, em 1939.

A cidade foi quase completamente destruída durante a Guerra, restando dela apenas 15%.

Depois da ocupação nazista e sua derrota, o país se encontrou sobre domínio soviético, vivendo no comunismo até 1989.

Atualmente é um dos únicos países que fazem parte da Comunidade Européia que tem crescimento economico.

A cidade teve de ser reconstruída depois de 45, tudo é novo e parece novo, exceto pelas construções crivadas de bala que o governo mantém erguidas para que os horrores do passado não entrem para o imaginário de forma leve. E, exceto pelas construções quadradas, sóbrias e sem qualquer frivolidade e ostentação do período de ocupação soviética.

A exceção fica por conta da mais alta torre de Varsóvia, que foi um presente da Rússia para o povo polonês. O Palácio de Cultura e Ciência, tem o estilo Social Realism Architecture. Hoje em dia abriga museus, sala de espetáculos e é possível subir até o 24 andar e ter uma vista privilegiada de 360º de toda a cidade. Dali do alto se percebe a riqueza da diversidade.

As histórias do insurgimento dos judeus poloneses, que eram 400 000 em 1939 e hoje são poucos mais de 2 000. Os bairros que foram cercados (história se repetindo...) separando os judeus do resto da população. Os nazis e a sua sociopatia. O levante de uma população com fome e poucas armas, que venceram depois de 63 dias de muita coragem e confiança. Não tem como não se apaixonar pela história de Varsóvia. A cidade é como Fênix. Não é possível ir para lá e sair igual. É tudo muito impressionante e vivo, real. Tudo se sente.

As mulheres polonesas são elegantes, charmosas e por consequência bonitas. Não vi nada de vulgar. Elas super andam de saltos. Na rua há vááárias e elas andam tão bem que flutuam.

Fui numa festa em um club chamado Klubokwiarnia, decoração soviética, tudo muito engraçado. Primeiro por causa do door code, que significa se você é mulher e bonita entra e se for homem feio e sozinho não entra. Aparentemente a grande maioria dos clubs tem esse code e eles adoram fazer a fila. A festa foi muito boa e a quantidade de vodka támbém. Vá para Polônia e beba voldka e cerveja.

Não vejo a hora de poder voltar e conhecer ainda mais. Têm muita coisa: Chopin, O Papa, Igreja Ortodoxa, arte, o mar Báltico, as flores...

...mas que minha saudade,por eu ter nascido no Brasil, só fala português, embora, lá no fundo, possa ser poliglota. Aliás, dizem que costuma-se usar sempre a língua pátria, espontaneamente quando estamos desesperados...para contar dinheiro... fazer amor...declarar sentimentos fortes...seja lá em que lugar do mundo estejamos. Eu acredito que um simples "I miss you" ou seja lá como possamos traduzir saudade em outra língua, nunca terá a mesma força e significado da nossa palavrinha.Talvez não exprima corretamentea imensa falta que sentimos de coisas ou pessoas queridas. E é por isso que eu tenho mais saudades...Porque encontrei uma palavra para usar todas as vezes em que sinto este aperto no peito, meio nostálgico, meio gostoso, mas que funciona melhor do que um sinal vita lquando se quer falar de vida e de sentimentos.

Essa noite me sinto envenenado, mijado, usado, gasto até o osso. Acho que a multidão, aquela multidão, a humanidade, que sempre foi difícil pra mim, aquela multidão está ganhando afinal. Acho que o grande problema é que tudo é uma performance repetida pra eles. Não há novidade neles. Nem mesmo o menor dos milagres. Apenas se arrastam sobre mim. Se um dia eu pudesse ver UMA pessoa fazendo ou dizendo algo incomum me ajudaria a seguir em frente. Mas são rançosos, bolorentos. Não há emoção. Olhos, ouvidos, vozes, seios, pernas, mas... nada. Congelam-se dentro de si mesmos e se enganam fingindo que estão vivos.
