Newly Renovated $2.5 Million Lobby Sushi & Cocktail Bar

11-Foot Tall Jellyfish Aquarium, Snow-Infused Drink Rail, Cocktail Cubbies & More

Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort will unveil a new lobby sushi and cocktail bar, Korals, on September 25. The $2.5-million redesign expands the lobby to include nearly 1,000 square feet of additional space, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, and a sushi bar with a Bisazza tile mural backdrop. The focal point of the new space, a custom-designed, 11-foot tall, three-foot wide, 3,600-pound aquarium column, will showcase live Hawaiian moon jellyfish, known for their unique coloration and adaptability to various environments. The new onyx bar will feature a four-inch chilled drink rail to keep cocktails cold, using a thin layer of man-made snow. Need to getaway without the guilt? Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort gives guests a nightly resort credit to spend on anything from food to spa treatments, golf to kids’ club, during their vacation.

Book stays through May 24th and receive a $75 credit per room, per night. From May 25 through December 22 the allowance is $50 a night and December 23 through January 1, 2010 receive a $100 a night.

Nightly rates start at $244. There is no limit to the number of nights, or resort credits, so five nights could translate into $500 in savings.

Further alleviating guests’ vacation budgets, every guest a Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort will receive a Passport to Paradise. As a passport-free destination, the resort developed a program offering 10-20% off select spa services, 30-50% off tee times at The Rookery and discounts on dining, recreation and more. Guests are encouraged to travel around the resort and utilize the discounts in the passport to earn stamps. Completed passports with all pages stamped will receive a complimentary gift.
