New Marianne Segal CD - Gypsy Girl: Archives 70s, 80s & 90s Volume 1 - just released

Brand new CD release of 15 previously unreleased archive recordings spanning the 1970s through to the 1990s, all original songs written by Marianne. Musicians on the album include Dave Mattacks (Fairport Convention), Jim Leverton (Caravan), Chris Spedding & Barry de Souza. Producers on the album include Jeff Wayne (War of the Worlds), Julian Mendelsohn (Pet Shop Boys) & Ian Catt (Saint Etienne).

New solo release and Jade re-issue

Marianne will be releasing soon the first of two CDs of archived solo material from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Volume 1, Gypsy Girl, (cover right) contains 15 remastered tracks all released for the first time on CD and clocking in around 60 minutes. In true Marianne Segal/Jade style the album features a wealth of musical talent including Dave Mattacks (Fairport Convention), Chris Spedding, Jim Leverton (Caravan) and Graeme Taylor (Gryphon, The Albion Band). The CD will, of course, be available from MarianneSegal-Jade.com. More details of release date to follow nearer the time. Also, due for release on October 5th, is a re-issue on Sunbeam Records of Jade's Fly On Strangewings. On CD and Vinyl, this re-issue will be a double album with many previously unreleased bonus tracks.

Great news for all Marianne Segal/Jade fans - Marianne has recently unearthed and dusted off over 2 hours of previously unreleased material that she recorded in the 70s and 80s with producers such as Jeff Wayne (of War of the Worlds fame) and Julian Mendelsohn. She will soon be at work re-mastering and packaging these tracks for a 3 volume series of CDs, the first of which should be available sometime in the autumn of 2009. Stay tuned!

In the MarianneSegal-Jade shop The Gathering has been reduced by 1GBP, the Hands of Friendship CD single is now only 2.50GBP and the 2007 deluxe edition of Jade's Fly On Strangewings has been added at only 8.00GBP.

That's right! On Saturday 18 October 2008 Marianne will be performing a rare live date with her old friend, Graeme Taylor formerly of The Albion Band, Home Service and Gryphon. Jade re-issues in the shops

Yes, we've been at bit slow at Snow Beach Towers getting this news up but the Deluxe CD re-issue of 'Fly On Strangewings' by Jade (on Lightning Tree Records - Light Flash CD014) is now for sale at Amazon and other good retailers. The CD is housed in a card gatefold cover that is a mini-replica of the original LP sleeve. The Japanese version of this re-issue, complete with obi and matt (not shiny) card cover, is available from the Japanese label/store, Strange Days Records.
