The painting has been accepted in the TAG Gallery California Open Exhibit, Santa Monica, and will on display Aug 8-24 and may be purchased through the gallery.

One of my favorite topics is the Three Muses, or Graces. In this case I was inspired by Pradier's gorgeous marble sculpture in the Louvre but I changed the arm and head positions. The fun part for me is that I started with an abstract painting and covered over everything except the area of the dresses. So the somewhat realistic faces contrast with the flat abstract pattern below.
