When tying the knot, it’s important to take into consideration that the bridal party should feel as fabulous as you do. Creating a special wedding day presentation is all about designing the right look with each girl in mind. When it comes to bridesmaid dresses, many women choose to go for a complimentary color that enhances the over-all scheme of the wedding. This can mean selecting a color that corresponds to the flower bouquets, or other emerging secondary hues in fabric or decor.

In addition to color, there are a few more things to keep in mind when considering the style, fit and fabric of your maids dresses. Remember that not all women in your bridal party are the same shape. The wearability of the silhouette should flatter each woman’s personal size and body type.

Donna Baldwin Talent Agency provided top Denver models, Oumou D and Zoe Fritz. Oumou and Zoe’s makeup for the shoot is the beautiful work of Tiffany McCray of Blush Artistry.

There are many bridal veil styles and lengths. The veil can conceal the face or can be worn at the top and back of the head to accentuate a piece of bridal head jewelry. A wraparound style brow band with veil, for example, will frame and highlight your facial features.

Tiaras are produced in array of metals and most often crafted with floral arrangements or gorgeous crystal and stone inlays. The wedding tiara will compliment both long and short hairstyles and can be designed with a drop veil.

The veiled hat is also an elegant option.

We asked Mary Spicer, owner of Spicer’s Weddings, to share the story behind the ad and a few things Marie-Margot readers should know about her company.

Mary Spicer: In the Spicer’s Weddings ad, I fell in love with the idea of a 20 lb. rabbit and found Geneva. I think rabbits are so luxurious. At the moment the photo was taken at the Jet hotel, I told our model Zoe that this is the moment in Alice in Wonderland when the Duchesses baby Alice is holding turns into a pig. That’s the shot. I love it. In weddings you choose things because you love or don’t love. Why would you have a human chandelier in your cocktail hour? Because you love the idea. People are unique. They are unique because of what they enjoy. Their loves. Couples that love to climb have had photo shoots and ceremonies on cliffs. Maybe you are an avid skier and ski down the mountain with the bridal party and guests after your ceremony. I love finding out the couples story and accenting that. That is what makes a unique wedding. The couples’ story.

Marie-Margot designer, Maggie Burns, says first time brides are choosing colors such as soft green, pink and blue for their couture designs. Today’s brides are even selecting the darker champagne colors and strikingly beautiful shades of red.

Pure white and ivory are traditional wedding gown colors; but for brides who are looking to be adorned in color on their wedding day, the full color gowns or color accents are an option.

Wedding dress designers like Maggie Burns, of Marie-Margot Bridal Couture, showcase new trends each year; all of which are fashioned and created to meet the needs of the modern day bride-to-be. Although dramatically different from full-bodied princess silhouettes, the latest wedding dress trend is the high low hemline and can be considered the best of both worlds. The train in the back gives the vintage bridal look, while the front proves very worthy of the modern bride.

A versatile gown like this would be perfect for a Spring / Summer wedding or an indoor /outdoor reception. If the back of the dress is not too compromising, the bride could easily go from wedding to dance floor.

According to Glamour, fellow industry designers like Claire Pettibone, Anna Maier Ula-Maija Couture, Monique Lhuillier, Oscar de la Renta, and Wtoo have all incorporated this trend into their 2011/2012 collections.

As years pass, what’s in fashion can come and go. With so many different trends and styles coming out each year, some stand the test of time while others get left in the past.

As wonderful idea it is to wear a vintage wedding gown that belonged to someone special; fit and style may not always be complimentary. The Wedding day should be the most special day of a bride’s life. She truly wants it to be the day of her dreams; and wearing a dress that’s not only perfect but fits is a major concern.

Most mothers dream of the day her dress will be worn by her daughter. Unfortunately, the dress could be outdated and not all mothers and daughters are the same size.
