Or, it is thought of as a thousand-year period of holiness mentioned in Revelation 20, supposedly during which Jesus and his faithful followers are to rule on earth. The first definition given here, "a hoped-for period of joy, serenity, prosperity, and justice" is not a measurement of time, it is a measurement of people.<br /><br />A millennium is the number of people needed to assure a period of joy, serenity, prosperity, and justice, however many people that may be.<br /><br />Maybe it is only a thousand people. Maybe a thousand united in heart and mind are enough to make joy, serenity, prosperity, and justice prevail. But, maybe it only takes two, you and me.<br /><br />I'll do my part.
