If a dog puts its snout on a hot object, it jumps back yelping, but the next time it sure will not touch that. It will smell it from the distance and eventually get closer, but with much more carefulness, in small steps.

My nose has some marks, caused by assumptions that had... biting consequences at the time. Most of the times, the lack of information lead me to presume things, just that those suppositions were tightly related to what I wanted, not to the reality. And, as reality has the bad habit of contradicting us...

...I took some right in the muzzle. Virtually, of course, I'm not the type that attracts or seeks physical violence. The consequence? I restricted myself from making assumptions, and I succeeded (mostly). Until reality "strikes" me right in the face, I stand unadventurously at some distance, sniffing. Eventually, I take some small steps, but you can be sure I won't put my "nose" on that hot pot.

Conditional reflex? Learning process? Fear? Maybe some psychology expert could have an explanation, I didn't try to analyse. Go Spot, fetch!

Unul din primele lucruri care ţi le spune instructorul atunci când începi cursurile de şoferie e ca la pornirea de pe loc, să ai grijă să: te asiguri, semnalizezi, deblochezi frâna de mână, şi abia apoi accelerezi. Asta e procedura cea mai bună dacă vrei să ai un demaraj lin, şi să te poţi înscrie corect în trafic.

Însă am observat că eu prezint oarece semne ale bolii numite „picior de plumb” - îmi place să accelerez rapid, să ajung cât mai devreme la viteza de croazieră. Poate că nu-mi plac etapele intermediare, cu schimbări succesive de trepte, motor sub-turat şi tot restul. Cred că îmi place să aud „torsul” regimului normal de lucru, să simt curentul vitezei (legale). Şi din cauza asta cam „calc” pe acceleraţie – nu am răbdare.

Cred că ar trebui să mă obişnuiesc, măcar pentru o vreme, să pornesc cu frâna de mână trasă. Sigur că o să cam iasă fum din discurile de frână, şi o să dureze un secol până la viteza „normală”, dar poate o să fie drumul mai lin. Încerc...

Sincer, nu mă aşteptam la o chestie asa de frumoasă şi de (relativ) spontană de la Tudor Chirilă. Sau poate că până acum nu avusesem timp să îl aud. Poate că aseară m-am oprit şi am ascultat, nu atât muzica, nu atât artistul, cât omul. Poate că omul Tudor avea dreptate.

Să ne uităm în stânga, să ne uităm în dreapta, să vedem oamenii care ne sunt alături. Să ne uităm înainte, pentru a-i vedea pe oamenii care ne vor fi alături. Întotdeauna m-am întrebat ce ar fi făcut Toma Caragiu dacă ar mai fi trăit să apuce... mmm... libertatea. Dacă ar fi supraviețuit acelei teribile zile de martie, ce-ar fi făcut după revoluție? Mi-am adus aminte de el din nou zilele astea, gândindu-mă la bătaia de joc de peste o săptămână - desigur, mă refer la alegerile parlamentare. Ar fi fost oare printre candidați (și nu singurul octogenar dintre candidați ;) ), sau ar fi făcut miștoul vieții lui despre toată porcăria asta de politică actuală?

Eu cred că mai degrabă ar fi fost varianta a doua. Ah, cât mi-aș fi dorit să-l aud aruncând din vârful buzelor niște miștouri super-acide la adresa elenelor, theodorilor, adrie(a)nilor și a celorlalți prostănaci care încearcă acum să ne „câștige voturile”. Uite, am găsit pe YouTube un clip destul de vechi, dar destul de actual - Dracul gol.
