I was eating an apple this morning and a question popped into my mind. Is there a correct way of eating fruits? And here is what I found out.

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths, its not so easy as you think.

It's important to know how and when to eat

What is the correct way of eating fruits?
- it means not eating fruits after your meals
- fruits should be eaten on an empty stomach

If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss, and other life activities.

Fruit is the most important

Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. The slice
of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines,
but it is prevented from doing so.
In the mean time the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid. The
minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and
digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil.
So please eat your fruits in an empty stomach of before your meals!
You have heard people complaining – every time I eat watermelon I burp, when
I eat durian my stomach bloats up, when I eat banana I feel like running to
the toilet etc – actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit in an
empty stomach. The fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces
gas and hence you will bloat!
Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, dark circles under the eyes all
these aill not happen if you take fruits in an empty stomach.
There is no such thing as some fruits like orange and lemon are acidic
because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert
Sehlton who did a research on this matter.
If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the secret
of beauty, longevity, health, happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice – drink only fresh juice, NOT from the
cans.
Don't even drink juice that has been heated up, don't eat cooked fruits
because you don't eat the nutrients at all, you only get to taste.
So stop making 'goreng pisang' or 'durian porridge' if you want nutrients.
Cooking destroys all the vitamins.
But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should
drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let
it mix with your saliva before swallowing it.
You can go on a 3 – day fruit fast to cleanse your body.
Just eat fruits and drink fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be
surprise when your friends tell you how radiant you look!
During the fruit fast you can eat fruits, prepared in salad forms and make
it more interesting.

90 days before Christmas

Yup it's too early for a Christmas celebration. But, I am in the mood of sharing my excitement about the upcoming festive season even we’re still 90 days away before December 25. It’s not that I have lots of money to spend (how I wish) or I have lots of party to attend but because I will be reunited with my lovely wife and my two beautiful kids. These past few months have never been easy I have to be separated with my family to wait for my petition papers. It is both expensive and stressful; there is a time that I had to file a 3 day leave, fly with my son stay and be with them just for 3 days and go back. That is not the first time I have to leave them, work here and wait for my papers so I could finally be with them. But, homesick and sadness always floods me during these scenarios.

Few more days and we will be reunited! Anticipating the upcoming season and spending it with them creates mixed feelings and the joy overwhelms me. I am also excited that I will have the chance to celebrate my daughter’s first birthday 5 days following Christmas. Everything is taking into place after several days of sacrifice living without them, miscommunications and other problems. On the other hand I’ll be leaving my work soon, my co-workers turned friends and my relatives here. I guess I can’t really have the best of both worlds.

Christmas is really fast approaching so join me as we countdown the days till Christmas! Weeeeeeeee!

Earthquake Magnitude 6.1 - Today Sept. 18, 2009

Did you felt the earthquake today. Friday, Sept 18, 2009 at around 2:30pm. Well, I did and my office mate also did. At first I thought I was just dizzy or my computer table just moved. I ask more friends but they said they didn't. I got curious if there was really an earthquake? with the help of my friends they gave me this website. According to the website an earthquake occurred around 02:23:58 PM at epicenter with the depth of 50.1 km (31.1 miles) with a distance of 115km (75 miles) southwest of Calapan, Mindoro 145km (90 miles) SSW of Batangas, 230 km (145 miles) SSW here in Manila and 250 km (155miles) South of Olongapo.

A magnitude-6 earthquake rocked parts of Luzon Friday afternoon, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The USGS traced the epicenter of the earthquake, which occurred at 2:23 p.m., to Mindoro in the southwestern part of Luzon.

The epicenter was traced 118 kilometers from Calapan in Mindoro, 145 kilometers from Batangas, and 234 kilometers from Manila.

A report over radio dzBB said the quake was felt in some parts of Manila. No damage or casualties have been reported as of posting time. - GMANews.TV

In this kind of business the most important and critical part is the finishing touches and the delivery of finished products to our clients. We sometimes call it the final day. We cannot call it job well done until it reaches our client and fits it perfectly.

At last, after a long while I was able to post again, it's because we just recently finished the uniforms for our one of our big clients in Palawan. Last weekend, we all hand in hand help our parents & sewers to meticulously check every details for each uniforms before packing.

Some of the very important details that we need to checked properly and carefully:

a) sewing quality from top to bottom
b) buttons and button holes
c) trim excess threads or edgings
d) parts that needs hemming
e) if properly iron
f) check for customers name and our logos

after the quality control we will pass it on for packing or hang if needed, but in this case we need to pack it by names then group by departments and put in a box for shipping coz we can't deliver it personally to Palawan plus it is more convenient and cost effective for us.

There are times that I found myself scared on pressing even a single keystroke when I would start to write a new content. Why? Because a lot of things starts jumping of my head every time I would start a new quality post. A lot of questions, hopes, doubts and a lot of ideas wants to get out of my head all at once. Questions like what would I write? Is it appropriate? Will I earn from this article or content? Will I gain readers because of this article? They are just some of the questions besides wondering if my grammar would be perfect and even the spelling of the words becomes a concern even though I know I can use the spell checkers, so it would really be a quality content. But what I have notice since I started blogging is that I rush to much. Rushing to finish the article I started in just a couple of minutes. Most of the time missing the point of the article and loosing its quality. Yikes!

Well, It's about time that all of these should just be things of the past and lessons to be learned as a newbie in blogging. What I intend to do now is linger on my articles more maybe hours or even days if the topics requires it. The truth is I am not publishing this article unless a couple of friends and relatives have already read it and approved that this article and my future ones would be compelling enough and worth it of spending time reading them. What I can do with all the thoughts, questions and ideas on my head is sort them out. Plan them well on how I can relate them to each other. Use them to interact with my readers. Weeeeeee! The truth is I still have a lot to learn creating quality contents and earning from this sideline. Back to work muna hahaha

Computer to a fiber addict

Our parents business revolves around fashion, textiles, dressmaking, garments and clothing. And maybe this is also the same reason why I personally never got interested with sewing, designs, fabrics and textiles. Because partly we have outgrown them and we are so used to see cloths, fabrics all over the house and factory, that's why we never got interested with things related to textile and clothing. Our mom will always insist to me and my sisters that right now we should be the one doing the marketing and promotion of our family business and these has been going on for years. Nya!

Maybe in my own little way I'm already doing that, but not that focused unlike Rayela who really writes about her fashion in fiber art, textiles, fair trade and ethnic traditions on her blog. When you come across her blog you will easily notice the wide range of photos that is related to textiles, write-ups about textiles, books about textiles or even textile videos. Does this make me a convert from a computer savvy to a fiber addict? I don't think I need to, just like her I think I can do both. :D

Especially these days of global crisis and the days to come where more and more fresh, graduating students will try to find their way to the Philippine workforce. Actually, there are several if not a couple of companies that are looking for employees hoping that they would land the job. And I just found out that these local base companies are also looking for ways to reach our "kabayan" hoping they would match their new jobs openings. These companies are mostly located in Manila, Makati, Ortigas, Cubao.

Basic Mountaineering - Mt. Talamitam climbing experience

Good thing my friend and my son's "godfather" :D Mhel invited me for my first ever mountain climbing experience. This happened last January 24 to 25, 2009. It was called Mt. Talamitam fun climb and it was indeed fun! My outgrown outdoor passion was revived. I got the chance to leave the busy city enjoy some fresh air aside from some parts where you have to stop inhaling. lolz (may land mine kasi ng cow's poopoo) I was able commune with nature once more. I was a little bit shy because I don't personally know most of the BAROC's group aside from the fact that I'am really a shy person weeee.
BAROC, which stands for Barkadahan, Adventures, Recreation, and Outdoor Club. They are a group of fun-loving and responsible mountaineers, adventurists, and outdoor enthusiasts, who share a common love and passion for the outdoors. Now lets rewind a little bit. With Mhel, JM, Beta, Jeff (who btw didn't slept the night before the climb just to prepare their mouth watering sisig and adobo) we arrived at EDSA-Taft bus terminal around 5:30am to meet up with the rest of BAROC's mountaineers. We drove off via Crow bus lines to Nasugbu Batangas and paid P129 for bus fare. Around 8:00am we arrived at the jumf-off point which is at Sitio Bayabasan, Brgy. Aga, Nasugbu (also known as "KM. 83"). After doing some "heart pounding warm ups" (lolz), the BAROC's pioneers lined up and organized the big group of 46 participants into smaller groups. We started the ascend around 8:30am. This climb is considered as Minor climb, but it took us around 3hrs before we reached the summit. Understandably, to keep pace with the 11 newbie like me! :D. All in all the ascend was walk in the park (naks! buti na lng magaan dala ko lolz). Just be careful on the part which is before the summit. Tall grasses awaits you (kaya pala sila may arm guard hahaha) and 60 degree trail before the summit which for me is the challenging part. But alas, the SUMMIT! weeeeee

At the summit, we started pitching our tents, rested for a while and prepared our lunch.
We had a sisig, canned sardines and half cooked rice hahaha hmmm ano pa ba? Anyway, we had a hearty meal (masarap talaga kumain pag madami kasabay :D). The BAROC pioneers with Kuya D, RJ, Mara, Abet, Len, gave us some BMC (Basic Mountaineering Course) na very informative naman hahaha. Seconds, minutes, hours passed by enjoying the scenes and fresh air which became a strong wind all trough the night. The BAROC's still managed to have their traditional "socials" along with the typhoon like wind and very cold night. Then Churvahan na! lolz. Thankfully, we survived the pounding winds during our sleep as if the the wind wants us out of the summit, breaking and ripping several tents. Some even slept inside a flattened tent caused by the strong wind.

The morning of Jan 26 is still windy before our descent. The descent is much quicker but you can't still lost focus because of the slippery trail caused by dried grass and dry earth. At last after reaching the jump off point where we started. We rested and enjoyed the juice from a freshly cut coconut that cost 10 pesos each :D. We parted ways with rest the BAROC mountaineers. We waited for the bus which will bring us back to the busy and noisy streets of the city. Thanks again to Mhel, Dota Boys, and BAROC's looking forward for more adventures with you :D
