I am an interaction designer for Ancestry.com and live in San Francisco.
You can find me on other web sites such as Last.fm, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Del.icio.us, Flickr, my old blog and a bunch of places I’m forgetting.

I made you a pretty awesome mixtape of songs I’ve been obsessing over lately.

I also made you an iPhone app:

Whenever I think of my favorite Neil Young songs, I never list Ambulance Blues. But almost every time it pops up I end up listening to it about three or four times which is quite the compliment since it’s 9 minutes long and doesn’t really develop much over the course of the song.

Working on a potentially cool Twitter aggregator, because I don’t have enough half finished...

Working on a potentially cool Twitter aggregator, because I don’t have enough half finished projects already sitting here on my computer.

How evil do you have to be that when your secret CIA death squads are exposed, no one is remotely...

How evil do you have to be that when your secret CIA death squads are exposed, no one is remotely surprised?
This graph is kind of fascinating. I knew that light pole #69 is the most popular jumping off point for people tired of this life, but I have never seen a detailed breakdown of all the locations. Post 69 is the obvious leader because it is exactly halfway across the bridge, so you get the maximum distance and best chance of a successful suicide there. Also the bay side of the bridge is more popular than the ocean side because the ocean side is only open to bike traffic, so a jumper would be a little more obvious. What I don’t get is the people who jumped before even making it out over the water. Were they too excited that they couldn’t wait to make it halfway across, or were they just too lazy to do it right? Maybe those were “cry for help” suicides, or people afraid of water.
