Congratulations to my brother and his wife on (finally) receiving a referral for a beautiful healthy baby boy from Korea! Their wait was a very long 2 + years. He is just under 10 months old and I've seen pictures and he is undeniably adorable! Let's keep our fingers crossed for speedy travel for them.

This month, from the lovely Nicolle at Life on the Prairie, I received a Starbucks gift card and TWO (!) Carmel Macchiato Biscottis. Does she get me or what? I don't think the gift card will last through the weekend (or the biscottis for that matter)! What a great pick me up!

I love to compare pictures of Preston from year to year to see how much he's changed. This picture was last year, taken in August and the second picture was taken this year in July. Think he's grown a little??

Why am I back? One of the blogs I read, Taking the Road Less Traveled, organizes a Friends for Adoption group. Those in the process of adopting are matched with another family and each month, you send an encouraging gift to each other. (If anyone is interested, here is the full information: Friends for Adoption.) My match is the lovely Nicolle from Life on the Prairie. Nicolle and her family are in the process of adopting cute Nathaniel from Korea! Hop on over to their blog and give them some encouragement during their wait to bring him home to his forever family (he's a cutie!). I'm sending out my gift to Nicolle this week so stay tuned to see pictures of what I sent her!

I saw this and thought it would be a fun thing to participate in. I was also reminded of how much information I found on other blogs during our first adoption. So, hopefully by opening up the blog and posting again, I hope that someone else thinking of adopting, or someone with questions will be helped by our blog like we were by others.
