I'm listening to a series by Tommy Angelo and he was just talking about the same thing, but from a slightly different angle that I think you'll appreciate. He's talking about poker (since that's what the series is about) but the discussion was about both improving your "A" game *and* lopping off the bottom of your "C" game.

The concept being that you will *always* have times when you're not at your best. So one of the things to work on is making those "bad" times less damaging to you. Work on removing some of the *most* destructive behavior can drastically reduce the effect of the bad play.

Same concept here. If you reduce your weaknesses, they are less damaging to you. You can't remove all of the weaknesses, but the mistakes you *don't* make are as beneficial as the improvements to your strengths.

Exactly. I always try to remind myself that everyone has the same amount of time -- 24 hours a day. The difference is all in how we choose to use it.

I like this one; we all waste a lot of time, even if we think we don't. Almost everyone has ways they could reclaim some of that time if they REALLY wanted/needed to.

Ellen,

That's very true.

You father was a great example of how to make each day a great day. I miss him a lot.
