As a comic book collector I particularly enjoy the cover art. Usually the artists are different than the issue artist so you can see some interesting interpretations. Here are some of this months covers.

Once a year I move all my 'family' (gear) into the studio and take a few photos for historical and insurance purposes. Here are a couple from this year.

Used but in great shape. Thanks Adorama.com!!

A while back I owned a 24-70 f/2.8L but was never really satisfied with the images. Nothing I could put my finger on and it was probably the photographer not the lens. So I didn't use it and eventually sold it.

Recently I felt the need for a shorter f/2.8 zoom and tried to fill the void with a 24mm prime. It's a great lens but at events foot zooming is not always possible. So I looked at Sigma's and Tamron's but did not find anything in the price range I was budgeting.

Then I saw where Adorama had several copies of the 28-70 lens for sale. Always heard that it was a better lens than the 24-70 and it was in my price range so I took a chance. My initial shots look like it is very sharp but have not used it enough to tell anything else. Covering an event next week and will use it then. Hopefully it will fill the bill.
