Several years ago I made the case for Moms providing the best Training For Network Marketers. I really didn’t think much of it, just kind of writing a tribute to my Mom years ago.

And every year, about 2 weeks before Mother’s Day, we get lots of requests about reposting it and explaining, once again, why all Moms are the top Network Marketing trainers and render the best Training For Network Marketers. Always has been, always will be… so thanks to all you Moms for asking us to update this and run it on Mother’s Day.

Mahalo for all the kind words and emails each year… Mom my cried when she read this, years ago. She’s gone now but I get to cry a few tears of joy each year that I repost it… and it reminds me each year that, like all Moms, my Mom was the best trainer for network marketers on the planet.

Sound strong? Let’s compare.

MOMS and A Gentle Reminder

I’m in that group that believes Mother’s Day, each year, gives all of us a gentle reminder that we should appreciate those wonderful people who support us daily and not just one day a year. It’s a chance, each year, to begin honoring the sacrifice this remarkable legion of #GoGivers who, despite their styles, all have one objective… that we become the best version of ourselves. Think about that. While gurus may claim that, it’s a hollow minipulative lie.

Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms out there… Believe me, despite all the awards, honors, and other accolades I’ve received over the last 30 years, including being named Network Marketing Trainer of the Year and inducted into the Hall of Fame… I pale in comparison to my Mom.

MOMS and Networker Marketing Trainers

My Mom doesn’t know anything about Network Marketing or so I thought when she asks me how my business is going.

I think she doesn’t understand it; maybe it’s me that doesn’t understand.

MOM taught me everything I needed to know to build a network marketing business. She gave me network marketing skills. Turns out, after all these years, I realize, hands down, Mom was the top Network Marketing trainer, ever.

MOM

Hands on help, just like Mom did with you

Mother’s Day. Don’t we all feel like we should do a little more all year for Mom?

Would it really kill us to go to Mom’s house and leave the cell phone in the car, have a cup of coffee and just be ‘present’?

Can’t make up for the past, you know, all those times we’re a ‘little too busy’ to just visit?

She was never too busy for me. Never.

Training For Network Marketers

Don’t we all feel like we could all do a little more recruiting?

Would it really kill us to sit at our desk an hour a night and dial the phone and be ‘present’?

Can’t make up for the past, you know, all those times we were making ourselves “little too busy” to just dial?

Why are we always too busy to actually do the business?

MOMS

She encouraged me to dream.

She knew my dreams and encouraged them and me.

She asked me about them.

She found places, like where to get me signed up for Little League, and got me there. So many countless things.

Network Marketing Trainers

It’s our duty to encourage others to dream.

We tell them they have to have a “why”

Tell them to write it down.

But do we know their dreams like Mom knew ours?

Do we find articles, pictures, and events that support them?

After they do write it down, do we ever, like Mom, ask them about it again?

Let’s be honest, gurus and up-teams fail here. Their hearts are not in it, just the wallet.

MOMS

Mom was a hands-on-teacher. Not a school teacher.

She was patient. Persistent. Insistent.

She never quit when I struggled. Never.

Yeah, she made me read the directions, sat there while I read them and answered a lot of the same questions over and over.

Asked me if I understood them and then she showed me how to do things right… no matter how many times it took.

She taught me skills.

Training For Network Marketers

Am I a hands-on teacher or do I just “plug” them in?

Training for network marketers is getting lost in short-cuts and hacks… Mom took none of those

Is it right to quit on them when they struggle and rationalize it as ‘they don’t want it bad enough’?

Do I make sure they get the directions and make sure they understand them?

Could I be a lot more patient when I have a rep on the phone and they are not ‘up to speed’?

Am I as willing to answer the same questions over and over?

Should I teach skills or just keep selling the dream?

MOMS

Mom never quit setting an example of excellence, even when people were not looking.

Never.

She never asked me to do anything she was not doing herself.

She was never a ‘do as I say, not as I do’ Mom.

She never quit on me.

Training For Network Marketers

Is it better that I set an example of excellence?

…even when others are not looking?

Do I dog it and tell others what to do even though I am not doing it myself?

Am I a ‘do as I say, not as I do’ managing Network Marketer?

Do I quit on myself and others with the lie that tomorrow I will double up?

MOMS

My Mom

My Mom had to quit school and take care of her brothers and sisters when her Mom died.

Got her GED in her 50s.

Went to college, studied hard, and graduated with the highest honors in her 60s.

She was excused from her finals her last year.

Took them anyway, wanted to test herself.

All A’s, of course.

She knew she’d Ace the tests.

Always prepared. Well in advance.

Pride.

Network Marketing Trainers

Am I staying a student? Continuing to grow as a person and learn about people and my trade?

Or am I surfing the web for short cuts?

Do I have pride in my profession and performance or do I look for the easier, softer way and pretend I am ‘working smarter, not harder’?

Am I ready for the daily test of growing a business?

Do my actions show I am prepared to be a top Network Marketing trainer?

Am I prepared to succeed to the point that I know that I will?

MOMS

Manners.

Please and thank you and no elbows the table.

Listen first. Ask for permission to speak, don’t take it.

Respect their needs, forget your wants.

Never talk about people that are not present.

It’s OK to disagree but don’t be disagreeable.

Honesty is the greatest of all manners.

Stop comparing [ego] and start identifying with people doing it successfully now.

Network Marketing Trainers

Do I have manners?

Do I belittle people mentally or with other reps who do not join?

Do I tell people why I am calling or ‘pretend to be their friend’ so I can use their words against them later to look?

Do I ask if it is OK to tell them about my business?

Am I focused on their needs or just trying to scare them about the future?

Do I listen? Do I take a ‘no’ as graciously as a ‘yes’?

Am I honest?

MOMS

She never hesitated to go the extra mile for us.

Never stopped looking for the extra mile.

Training For Network Marketers

We have a chance to do this for others every day AND get paid for it.

Do we look for it? Take it?

MOMS

Mom Hiking in Kauai at 89 years-old

My Mom is 89, legally blind and needs help.

Told her she has 2 choices.

Assisted living or move 6000 miles from Massachusetts to Kauai, HI and live with us.

She’s was living in the town she was born in.

Mom says she’s scared. Says she’s used to where she lives. Knows where everything is and it’s comforting.

She packed and she’s here in Kauai.

Courage. Mom’s have courage. Training for network marketers takes courage. Unlike the con-artists and gurus, you’ve got to tell them the truth… they’ll need to practice, pick up the phone and improve by taking pride in their profession.

Picking up the phone takes some courage. At least we like to pretend it does.
Not as much as moving 6000 miles to a place you’ve never been to… at 89… and blind.

Do I lack courage or am I just lazy? Mom’s are not lazy.

Rejection? Mom never accepted any obstacle as a reason to let fear determine her life.

Santa Januszewski turned 89 on October 12, 2010.
Columbus Day. How appropriate. :)
She still had the guts to explore.

Networking allowed me to step up and doing something special for myself and our Mom. See, she turned me and by extension, my team, into great training for network marketers.

I wonder how much sooner great things would have happened in the lives of others if I had not made the mistake of thinking Mom knew nothing about Network Marketing and realized she knew intuitively how to be a top Network Marketing trainer?

Like a little boy, I foolishly thought my business was so different that Mom never understand it.

Turns out she knew everything IMPORTANT about it before I was born.

Happy Mother’s Day, to all you Moms…

UPDATE from 2012. Mom’s up in New England now, turned 90, still checking up to make sure I’m doing the right things and brushing my teeth… she wanted to see her brothers and sisters.

Hoping she’ll be back in a few months… I need my top Network Marketing trainer back :-).

UPDATE 2018. Thanks to the great Network Marketing industry, I was able to bring her to Kauai and spend time daily to giving a fraction of what she had given me… attention. I’m grateful to the industry for that.

At 92, a few years back, she packed it in, moved on to the next adventure. Buried her next to my Dad. Great day because we ran the service like she ran her life, a celebration. My Dad died in 1953. Mom never remarried, Joe was the love of her life. When she went back in 2012 the first order of business was visiting the grave, as always… with flowers and gratitude.

Moms are loyal to people. Maybe networkers could learn something there, founders of companies surely could.

Lot’s of great advice I could share with you but the best advice she ever gave me about networking came at her kitchen table, long before Kauai. I was just getting started and showing her a magazine the company put out. I was telling her about all the top pin levels, the big checks people were earning, pointing them out to her. I’d shown her, I’d guess, about 2-3 pages of achievers, had about 4 pages to go. She slams her hand on the magazine as I was turning a page.

“You’ve heard enough success stories Markie… isn’t it time become one?”

Update: 2021. Each year we get more requests to repost this, just want to express our gratitude for all the kindness and love.

So, if you would, 2 tiny favors…

I’d love two things here… love to know your “best wisdom” you ever learned from your Mom. Is your Mom a stud at Training for Network Marketers you overlooked too?

And I’d love to know you’re going to be “mother’s day nice” more often during the year. When they are gone, they are gone.

believe,

And every year, about 2 weeks before Mother’s Day, lots of requests show up about reposting it and explaining, once again, why all Moms are the top Network Marketing trainers, actually the best trainers period. Let’s face it, moms are bigger than home-based-businesses. Moms the best. Always have been, always will be… so thanks to all you Moms for asking us to update this and run it on Mother’s Day.

Drum lessons. Dance lessons. Drivers Ed.

And again? And wake up thinking about their dreams?

MOMS

She encouraged me to dream with my heart, especially as I got a little older.

Told me money is great but don’t sell your soul, dreams and time believing the nonsense that you can “buy time” later.

“Dream with your heart young man and it will all work out.”

Moms are not “do as I say, not as I do” creatures. She invented an act for vaudeville … where after tap dancing and acrobatics, she’d end in a device she invented. And tap dance double time on her head!

Went to NY from Boston, failed. Came home, got better and invited to entertain the troups in WWII.

Followed her dream of the heart, insisted I do too.

Network Marketing Trainers

After asking the why, it instantly moves to pin-level and volume.

We forget no one really cares about the money. It’s what we can do.

Want to be more like a great trainer? Repeat many times daily…”dream with the heart, dream with the heart, dream with the heart.

Batting and seeing my name?
My dream was to play at Fenway Park. At 8 I had that dream.

Got there in September of 2021… it was in my heart, thanks mom.

Network Marketing Trainers

Am I a hands-on teacher or do I just “plug” them in?

Network Marketing Trainers

Is it better that I set an example of excellence?

…even when others are not looking?

Do I dog it and tell others what to do even though I am not doing it myself?

Am I a ‘do as I say, not as I do’ managing Network Marketer?

Do I quit on myself and others with the lie that tomorrow I will double up?

MOMS

My Mom had to quit school and take care of her brothers and sisters when her Mom died.

Got her GED in her 50s.

Went to college, studied hard and graduated with highest honors in her 60s.

She was excused from her finals her last year.

Took them anyway, wanted to test herself.

All A’s, of course.

She knew she’d Ace the tests.

Always prepared. Well in advance.

Pride.

Network Marketing Trainers

Am I staying a student, continuing to grow as a person and learn about people and my trade?

Network Marketing Trainers

We have a chance to do this for others every day AND get paid for it.

Do we look for it? Take it?

My Mom is 89, legally blind and needs help.

Told her she has 2 choices.

Assisted living or move 6000 miles from Massachusetts to Kauai, HI and live with us.

She’s was living in the town she was born in.

Mom says she’s scared. Says she’s used to where she lives. Knows where everything is and it’s comforting.

She packed and she’s here in Kauai.

Courage. Mom’s have courage.

She still has the guts to explore.

Networking allowed me to step up and doing something special for myself and our Mom.

I wonder how much sooner great things would have happened in the lives of others if I had not made the mistake of thinking Mom knew nothing about Network Marketing and realized she knew intuitively how to be a top Network Marketing trainer?

Like a little boy, I foolishly thought my business was so different that she’d never understand it.

Turns out she knew everything IMPORTANT about it before I was born.

Happy Mother’s Day

Maybe networkers could learn something there.

UPDATE 2022

The Fenway Park thing reminded me about her God stuff. Said all the religious stuff was fine be she believed that God only had 4 wrods that mattered for us mortals; “Come dance with me”. I used to sort of

I knew she was smiling, my heart was bursting

dimiss it as overly simplistic but I’ve come to understand the profound wisdom. It keeps us in gratitude, keeps it simple and keeps us in the moment. MLM trainers are just to serious and they keep moving the goal posts. Make it fun folks or your team won’t stick.

I’d love two things here… love to know your “best wisdom” you ever learned from your Mom. Is your Mom a top Network Marketing trainer too?

And I’d love to know you’re going to be “mother’s day nice” more often during the year. When they are gone, they are gone.

believe,

Let’s knock that label out right now. I’ve been shouting from the rooftops for year to “love your competion!”

It works

The first step? Make winning decisions about who and where to invest your time. If you do, you get trained to win. How does one do it? Understand the difference between old school and principles. Fashion comes and goes. Principles endure.

You make winning decisions by basing those decisions on principles.

Example? Sure.

Anyone who is taking about sponsoring more is offering you proof they do not know how to develop people. People who can develop people make more money in less time.

The real objective of the business? Teams that build teams without you.

My biggest regret was sponsoring to many people. Really.

If you cannot develop people do you really think sponsoring more is the answer?

Blaming people who quit as failures is the sign of a poor coach… and lousy trainer.

The second step? Another sound principle so overlooked it is bewildering! We get paid on volume, not distributors.

So if the “guru” or trainer you’re looking at does not stress retail, walk away.

There is a dandy of a skill right on this site to increase volume 9x with one sentence.

It’s called Fusion. It’s free. And you won’t end up in a funnel.

NETWORK MARKETING TRAINING

USE COMMON SENSE

Common sense and business principles apply to the next two steps.

The third step? A push for social media. While a presence is important, you really don’t need a lot of leads to get wealthy. Anyone telling you that you do? Walk away. Really Mark? Yes.

Here’s why. They have the 80/20 rule bass-ackwards. There are 2 skills that will get 80+% to look. Grab them here. Ready to buy and ready to join in under 60 seconds. Ready to buy your next suggestion. Ready to join you with an open mind.

Anyone telling you 80% won’t listen, 80% won’t show up, 80% that do show up won’t join and 80% that join won’t do anything does not know how the mind works.

They also do not know the orgin nor meaning of the 80/20 rule.

Here’s what it really means.

The fourth step? Let’s remember, we’re talking about four simple steps to make winning decisions about network marketing training.

Without a plan for growth of your teammates personally and professionally in plain site you are dealing with one of two things.

ONE: A con artist trying to leverage your hope, fears and inexperience.

TWO: A person who wants to help but does not know the objective of a network marketing business. Again, teams that build teams without you.

Check out the 3-deep-pattern on the skills page. Again, no funnel, sales pitch or nonsense. All this stuff is free. That’s always been the beauty of network marketing.

Now the bonus step. Emotion.

If you are like most people, you need it to work.

I did. I was scared, on the ropes so to speak.

The difference? I had the best training in the world from Mr. Stone and Hill… Stone personally trained me in Chicago. I knew common sense and principles need to overrule emotion. At least in business. Stay unemotional.

Let me know what you think

The 5 Sacrifices For Winning in Networking, really in any business or dream are not the simple stuff like giving up TV time or golf.

While some of those must go to create the time for the big dream, 30 plus years of experience has taught me that they are the minors and until the majors are taken, we’re not going to move into our full potential.

The 5 Sacrifices For Winning in Networking

Let’s get real. The big dream requires more than desire. You’ve got to want it with every fiber of your being. To want and to want badly is not enough. I am going to assume you’re reading this because you feel that way, beyond desire yet are not firing on all cylinders.

First step is realizing that giving something up is really moving up. Stop here. Read that again.

Got it?

Great. As all illuminated minds over the last 4000 years have pointed out, from Buddha to the Carpenter, to Plato, Socrates, Emerson… to Napoleon Hill, who said it best, “there is no such thing as something for nothing,” sacrifice for the greater good is a requirement for great achievement. Notice that sacrifice comes before greater good, not after.

Sacrifice One

Not appreciating the present moment. In the brilliant works of Wallace Wattles, {Science of Being Rich, Science of Being Well, Science of Being Great} he reduces all 3 major aspects to a science. All the self-help and motivational stuff you’ve ever read, if it was written post 1900 has at it’s core, Wattles. All 3 Sciences begin with gratitude.

Gratitude is a cause, not an effect. If you can’t appreciate and be overwhelmed with gratitude right now, for everything, including challenges … make that sacrifice. If you will not or want to think about how tough you have it and if I knew that, I’d never say this… think again.

Broke and bankrupt, foreclosed house, horrific medical news… and I was grateful. Hope is a wish without gratitude.

Sacrifice Two

Opinions, all of them. Your opinion is confirmation of who you are. Who you are does not have the success or dream you want. You reconfirm that sense of self with each opinion, including the ones in your head that you don’t verbalize.

Equally important is the opinions of others. The path to your big dream, successes and life you desire when you REALLY go for it is going to be shrouded in negative opinions. Celebrate it because, while you may feel lonely or scared once in a while, and you will, there is no price to high for owning yourself.

Sacrifice Three

Your need to be right, defensiveness. Mistakes are redirections if we learn from them. If we do not, if we give up our right to be wrong, we lose the gift of learning and the change it triggers. When we stop learning new things, we are through and the dream dies. [You can learn some new things right here]

Sacrifice Four

Avoiding challenges instead of attacking them. Of all the 5 sacrifices for winning in networking, this one is the easiest to spot.

Winners are impelled to challenges and attack with pride, poise and an understanding that avoid them is lunacy. The non-winners get involved with procrastination, excuse, self-pity and blame games.

Shit happens, make this sacrifice if you avoid challenges.

Sacrifice Five

Refusing to make personal growth the number one requirement. Our success works in direct correlation with our self worth. Dedicating the first half hour or so of the day and last half hour of the day [when you’re still in theta state in AM, and moving into it at PM] is crucial. No cells, texts, calls, email before in am and after in pm is the biggest single factor in the rags to riches stories I have witnessed in 30 years.

Make this sacrifice, feeding your mind and sitting silently to think about what you’re reading is the ticket to the promise land.

Notice your mind telling you that you don’t have the time as you read this. [Take a scholarship to our 6 month course, starts in September, in the meantime, read Wattles or Standing Tall daily . ]

believe

mark januszewski

MLM Growth seems to be such a mystery. That’s exactly what the tool peddlers, lead prostitutes and “social media” pros [gimmie a break] want you to feel… like winning at MLM or getting MLM growth is some mystical thing.

Why would that be a good plan? Confused people don’t commit, they tend to buy “secrets” and “shortcuts” and other such nonsense. While we all want to get it right, the thing we fear [foolishly, like I did too], is looking bad to others… embarrassing ourselves.

MLM GROWTH

Nothing mysterious about MLM success. Nope, piece of cake.

I’m going to lay it out for you and exactly what to do over the next 3 months so 2021 becomes a breakout year for you that is beyond your imagination. Best part? It’s really easy.

The Simple 6 taps the remarkable primal power with you and provides skills. Cost? Zip

Step 1 You are entitled to your opinion, you are not entitled to your “version” of the facts. Is what you are doing working beautifully for you? We all tend to defend what we are doing [even though the results are not there] when faced with new ideas. As you read how easy this is, notice if you drift into “yeah, but” or “my sponsor/upline says” or quote one of the liars talking about sponsoring 20 people a month. Remember the facts of your time in the business and current income… so you stay open minded.

Step 2 Winners who are currently not winning are going to work now on 2021. Do you have a plan for the 4th quarter to alter your game and master it before January 1st?

Step 3 Ditch all your ideas about what you need to be successful, to explode and manifest your dream. Leads? What to say? Social media? Compensation plan? Product? Company? Think any of those matter? The do not. The pied-pipers of prosperity what you to believe that so you’ll buy stuff… you don’t need any of it. What do you need here, at this Step 3? Knowledge or acknowledgement of where all success flows from… thought. Until it is right in your mind and framed with words correctly? You got no chance. Don’t feel back, I had no chance till I got this part correct.

And, let’s get real clear here, ok? I’m not talking about the nonsense stuff like “read your why until you cry”… no, none of that. There exists a no-fail-formula… it’s created more millionaires than all other books and formulas combined. And, it begins in the mind. It echos the illuminated ones across centuries… the ancestor of everything is thought. Is that where, about your business, you start, live in and end each day? My answer was no. What is your answer?

Step 4 Once the mind is right, we only do 5 things…

Get names and numbers [you won’t need more than 200] [a skill]

Invite them to look at your stuff [A simple skill 90+% say yes]

Show ’em your stuff [leave out comp plan, company history, product details etc] [ez skill]

Collect a decision [a skill]

Now for the big money step

5. Teach the ones that say “yes” how to do the first 4 and do it hands on. [Duplication is “caught” not taught]

The pied-pipers of prosperity are great at exploiting fear. Stand Tall, you don’t need ’em

To get the mind right and learn this formula and master the skills is going to take about 8 weeks or so. The key is not learning this stuff, its simple and clear… the key, the money shot? The dream-catcher? Application.

THE FORMULA

Hill, who wrote Think and Grow Rich, was laboring in obscurity until he met W.Clement Stone. Stone made hill rich and famous. And they wrote a few bucks, 2 classics together.

Mr. Stone was my trainer back in 1971. It was from the great man [built the most successful and largest sales force in history. He gave me [and everyone in the class] 3 books. Think and Grow Rich, Success Through A Positive Mental Attitude and The Success System That Never Fails.

When I was failing at MLM, I reached for T&GR and remembered Stone’s words… “These are not books, they are exercises.” I took it to heart and over a period of a year, extracted from those great books the formula, applied to MLM. The rest is history… success after success. Very simple formula that, for MLM with all my teams, we called, The Simple 6.

A few years ago in Paris, I taught the Simple 6 for the first time in history to people outside my groups. It was so effective, we’ve been invited back, first class, to do it again.

And… the Covid and the explosion of guru-garbage I decided with wifey that we’d teach this free, live… and help people have 2021 be the breakout year.

You’ll learn it in November, master it in December and while everyone else is making feint attempts to get back to work in January… with their bogus resolution already broken, you will be in momentum. I’m also going to share with you why December is the best month of the year to recruit and we’ll help you break records in December.

So, it is on baby. 4 live sessions, 4 hours each… over 4 days. Recorded with workbooks, easy access and nothing to pay. You will learn and master the Simple 6… so stay close to this blog for updates and make sure you hop on the email list. Let me make it really clear. We’ll run the Simple 6 on Facebook Live… with worksheets and mega interactions for 4 days. We are not charging and we are not leaving stuff out so we can sell you the “full version” …

MLM Growth and this business is just not that complicated. From 1999 – 2010 [when I retired from MLM] I never showed a compensation plan and all I ever said about product was “try it, I think you’ll like it” … I can show you how to recruit rejection free, close better than 90% of the people you show your offer to and do it all while having fun, being relaxed and confident. That’s all coming within a month.

Prep for the training in October, November learn and apply what you learned. December, master it and hit January with new people, new mindset, killer skills and no dent in your wallet.

So do me a quick favor… take this quick 3 question survey, OK?

MLM Duplication is caught, not taught says good friend Tom “Big Al” Schreiter… also my mentor and part of my “Dynamic Dozen” that helped us succeed. No one makes it to the top alone… no way I get there without Tom.

In this ongoing series about the roots of our good fortune in network marketing, we’re looking at the people who took the time, free, to help me. I’m sharing one or two critical pieces and each of them is “poem worthy”… meaning the 11 poems the greatest coach ever, John Wooden, used to build winning character in his players.

MLM Duplication

Let’s get to social proof so I can avoid the bully-pulpit and deep theories.

Pretty simple…

You go to a Super Saturday

Speaker is incredible… pours her heart out for 7 hours

Beautiful job on the basics and overall, magically keeps theming duplication… a real pro.

Next month? The Seminar? About the same size

Male this time… amazing job to teaching duplication. People are laughing, crying, cheering and hugging. Next month? Same size

Conference calls… same thing.

Matter of fact, we see these all have a “shelf life” …

So if the speakers are so great, have great days and moves the audience… why is the attendance on the conference call or Super Saturday about the same?

Over and over?

Simple… duplication is caught, not taught.

Tom “Big Al” Schreiter came along at the perfect time in my career and helped my cut my hours from 30-40 a week down to 12… because? I became contagious and people that worked with me “caught” duplication.

Seekonk Massachusetts

Guy by the name of Bill, a “recovering attorney”, calls me one day.

“Do you know Tom Schreiter?”

“No,” I say. “Heard of him though.”

“He’s coming to speak, train. If you’ve never seen him, you’ll want to come down and enjoy him.”

We were both with the same MLM and had supported one another’s events.

I get there and at the break, he introduces me to Big Al… a diminutive chap, belying his handle.

It’s love at first sight as Tom “big al” goes over colors.

We talk at the break… back around 2005 or so. We’ve been talking ever since.

Human Nature

We quickly discover we both believe the business isn’t complicated at all… it is, however, based on human nature. Ut-oh.

It as a massive turning point for me for two reasons.

First, I left Seekonk Massachusetts that night knowing, really knowing, I wasn’t nuts.

Our business is not about leads, sponsoring, duplication, product ingredients, or pay-plans. It’s is about people. Felt that way, now I knew.

Secondly, Schreiter had made a lifetime study of human nature and how affects prospecting and growth, MLM duplication if prefer expression for growth.

People are funny so have fun with all of it. Having fun and making money is the greatest lead generator ever.

With Tom’s guidance about human nature, we created, defined, refined, and finally perfected how to get massive growth leveraging human nature. Developed a simple skill that has made dreams come true for us and, more importantly, the teams we built.

MLM Duplication and Skill Duplication

And, over the years, we’ve had fun teasing each other about who stole what from who… wifey, The Fabulous Davene, loved those dinners that always ended the same way. Human nature. What Big Al really taught me was this business is about people. Period.

Distributors know more about their plan, product, and company than they do about people. So, they struggle.

If you’re aiming at the wrong target, does hitting the target matter? Of course not.

Then the common sense bomb, “Who do you think will get more production out of a new person’s list?”

Duh? “Show ’em what to do and how to use the skills.”

But Big Al’s lessons, help, generosity with his time, experience, and kind nature was much bigger than I thought.

He constantly reminded me, and he still does today, to enjoy myself. Says what I am doing, living the dream, really is an inspiration… but… to ENJOY Kaua’i!

And, we do. Everyday. But it’s bigger than that and this isn’t about me, my good fortune and blessings from consistent work. It’s about enjoying every minute of it… all of it.

For pennies, you can learn how Tom turned human nature into skills that work, are fun and earn big bucks

I took that advice and that nugget [enjoy all of it] has helped me understand and appreciate that while the money is great it was the journey and people I got to work with, learn from and grow that yielded the bigger treasures.

“After all” he pointed out, “having fun while making money is the greatest lead generator ever.”

That turned out to be truer than true. And it led me to the word, “collaboration” as the be-all, end-all when it came to sponsoring on demand.

I began looking for people to collaborate with… about what did we collaborate? Their dreams. Turns out this is the key to the vault.. meaning MLM Duplication

That’s it.

No mystery.

No confusing theories

No scripts and flow charts for responses.

Just easy, earnest dialogs that are so transparent, you don’t have to mention the word transparent.

If a guy like me can figure out that getting others what they want and then work with them hands-on so the “catch duplication” … we’ll get more than we can possibly imagine.

We got here, living the dream, two years early because of Tom’s influence and applying his skills; using human nature to get MLM duplication… but I’m loving life for the great life council Tom gave me… “enjoy it”

So, as is the custom, here’s the poem from Wooden’s 11 poems that lead to personal greatness… Tom, thanks, this one is for you because you have never stopped gaining and sharing insights into the beautiful human mind and its beautiful quirkiness.

MLM Growth is not an accident. It is a by-product of hope. Hope does not really mean what you think it does. At least not to the successful networkers, in the true sense of the word.

Learn what hope means and act out on it like Ann Feinstein and her MLM application… and you’ll have the remarkable growth she experiences.

MLM Growth

So I get a call one day. I’d been living on Kaua’i for about 4 years when I got the call.

Woman.

Talking fast.

Confronting me.

Asking me who I built with and can I prove it.

Barely waits for an answer before she’s on to the next question.

And the next.

To you, she may seem suspicious… to me? It says East Coast, these confrontational, staccato questions.

To me? Music. I can tell … east coast… New York or Jersey… love people on Kaua’i and love it here but I miss the speed and no bullshit.

Ann’s got no bullshit in her.

We finally get around to the reason behind her questions… she’s thinking of buying our MLM training course, Go90Grow which only opens for a week once or twice a year.

She says, “I understand when you say it’s closed, it is. Is that true?”

“Yes.” There’s a pause. I can finally ask something without her feeling like I’m not paying attention.

Winners ask tough questions but once they commit? Nothing stops winners like Ann

“Why are you considering this course?”

“I’m kinda embarrassed to let you know. I’ve been at this several years and my group is only about 80,000.”

Pause.

“Please don’t share that, I should be doing much better.”

80,000? Embarrassed?

I’m thinking she may be embarrassed but I am impressed that she’s that humble about her performance. 80,000? Most people would give up a kid, pet or limb [or toe?] for 30,000… let alone 80,000.

Casablanca

Love the last line of Casablanca… “… the beginning of a beautiful friendship” and with Ann, it was and still is.

So late in my career and she rocked my world with her actions and her heart.

She buys the course after I explained that the skills in Go90Grow will help you help your teammates recruit more and it will be easier, the real value for someone of here level is in the Think and Grow Rich 14 week bonus… 14 weeks on the 13 steps to riches.

She does not go for it. She goes for it… and I’ve been facilitating Think and Grow Rich for 3 decades… she goes for it harder and with more effort and enthusiasm than I have ever seen… to this day.

Ann pushed herself harder to master Think and Grow Rich to surpass the help Randy gave her so they’d both win

Ann did it all. And, without an online presence, she got that rolling. And changed companies. And grew bigger. And…never made an excuse.

While I’ve learned 100s of things from Ann… the number 2 thing I learned was that legends like her [egoless, rare, for sure], are legends for a reason. The don’t TRY harder… they work harder. Ann demo’d how to lay your ego down. Asked her about it one day… “I’m not here to impress you or the other people in the class. I’m here to be of better service to those in my organization. My sponsor, Randy Gage, has delivered for me what I need when I need it so I can grow and improve and do it without him. I want to be all that to my team and a little bit more.” Followed by a wink.

So just that alone… the most successful MLMer to ever buy the course worked harder and smarter at it than anyone has in 3 decades. Think about that. This is a person who not only had 80,000 people in her group but she had something bigger… humility.

HOPE

It was wonderful watching this master push herself to the next level and raise her consciousness… but it was something she offered everyone that blew me [and them] away… and changed the game for a lot of people in a positive way.

“HOPE,” she offered one day during the Think and Grow Rich 14-week intense study… “Hope, I believe holds the key to the vault in recruiting, building and improving. In everything.”

I started to say “hope is not a strategy” but she cut me off.

“I know what you’re going to say but let’s try it this way.”

“We offer others real hope. We Help Other People Evolve.”

Silence.

Advice.. when some hits the bulls-eye, shut up. I did.

Each day that went by, it made greater and greater sense… that class did better, I did better… I facilitated like never before.

Ann, what a great lesson.

Ann’s not thinking about sponsoring… her check… if they will do it… just how she can be of service to them evolving personally AND professionally.

It’s why she succeeds everywhere… and why this poem of Wooden’s 11 great poems for greatness belongs to Ann.

“At Day’s End”

By John Hall

Is anybody happier because
you passed his way?
Does anybody remember
that you spoke to him today?
The day is almost over,
and its toiling time is through;
Is there anyone to utter
now a kindly word of you?
Can you say tonight, in parting
with the day that’s slipping fast,
That you helped a single brother
of the many that you passed?
Is a single heart rejoicing
over what you did or said?
Does the man whose hopes were fading,
now with courage look
Did you waste the day, or lose it?
Was it well or sorely spent?
Did you leave a trail of kindness,
or a scar of discontent?
As you close your eyes in slumber,
do you think God will say,
“You have earned one more tomorrow
by the work you did today”?

We all know how Ann does with this daily… how about you?

believe

MLM Team Building may have more books, videos, and powerpoints than any other subject. And most of them are pretty bad. The rest? Worse for the most part.

This is really heartbreaking because most people don’t realize this is the actual target of your business. It’s the objective. Do you know it?

In this ongoing series about the roots of our good fortune in network marketing, we’re looking at the people who took the time, free, to help me.

Dennis Franks and his longtime friend Vince Papale is one of the “Dynamite Dozen”. [The 12 who had the greatest impact on us, our lives and our MLM… and they are each “poem worthy” ]

Dennis was undersized but Captain of Superbowl Eagles, Vince walk-on

MLM Team Building? Even Check Cashers Don’t Know

Are you kidding me? Nope. Saddest experience I’ve had is people being so close yet missing the point entirely.

We hear…

“no “I” in team”

Together Everyone Achieves More”

Teamwork makes the dream work

But… [huge word sometimes]… but, they just don’t get it.

The objective of a network marketing business that earns great checks and keeps growing is… drum roll… Teams that effective teams without you.

Dennis Franks taught me this back in the mid-90s… and he did a lot more for my career.

I had had some success in sales but not on networking. Joined Market America in the early 1990’s and while it was working a little, it was a struggle.

Anyway, I knew of Dennis but did not know him. He flew into Boston, [early days of Market America], to do a couple of meetings. One was at Fenway Park, in the business offices. The other at a hotel near Logan Airport. I was crushed [grew up hustling papers are Fenway Park, scalped tickets for close to 20 years]… when myself and several others were “uninvited” by the top earner to the earlier-in-the-day Fenway Park meeting. Truth is the space wasn’t available and I did get over it. LOL.

So I got to show the “plan” at the hotel after the Fenway Park meeting. I crushed it. Dennis approached me post-meeting, said many kind things, and proceeded to get me to become a certified trainer.

And, he started to council me. Told me quotes about team-building won’t build teams. Showed me how.

MLM TEAM BUILDING OVER TIME

Couple of years later, Dennis, who was head of training at the time for Market America… picked me as the Trainer of the Year.

I loved speaking

I really loved speaking and getting paid.

Dennis’ helping hand put me in demand.. a bit more coaching and studying this stage master [he’s got style, class, humor and can he dance… wow]… I got better and better. Doing the maximum of 26 Super Saturdays a year … was great. Then, at a convention, I got to meet his good friend Vince Papale… who was the emcee.

NOTHING BAD

When I decided to move on from building at Market America [and no longer struggling] … 2 wonderful things happened. They kept paying me from 1999 to 2010…nice and Dennis continued to help, coach and encourage me. And over the years, he gave me the key to the vault.

INFORMATION ISN’T ENOUGH

Reading it was fun but doing it? More dreams manifest, thanks guys

He kept working. What he lived for me, [which is stronger than an example], was a helping hand coupled with a killer work ethic. While I trusted and believed in Dennis, it was watching him get better and better and better… that kind of “better” that can only come from work. The kind of work, [like Papale if you saw the movie Invincible], that begins before others arrive and ceases long after others have left.

I could see the practice… the tweaks but mostly I could see the dedication

So when Vince and Dennis came out with the book, The Last Laugh, Vision to Victory, I had to have it. And it did 2 things… brought me back to 2 things. 1] Work ethic 2] Insight.

And there is was… the next step in my dream.

Following Dennis’s coaching again and hitting the next level in the new dream here on Kauai, HI

Not hard to see why he was Captain despite being undersized and Papale? Fuggatabowtit… desire and dedication to team earned a new reality for both these winners.

And it just doesn’t end.

PRICELESS

Having Dennis check in over the years, [I left in 1999], is the kind of class and kindness that you just cannot fake. I believe our conception of good to great professional football players is not compassion, help and kindness. Turns out I was wrong and Dennis has a major hand in our dreams that came true but a bigger place in our hearts. He not only taught me the target, teams that build teams without me… he showed me how to do it. It made us wealthy.

But here’s the lead to the Grantland Rice poem that IS Dennis Franks… that IS Vince Papale.

Champions do the work

That night at the airport I really studied Dennis and each time after that, mostly at Market America’s fabulous events. And each time, I saw him get better, better and yet better.

See, one of the reasons I am writing 25 of these over 50 days is so you’ll figure out you don’t need gurus, secrets and tricks to build a huge business.

How did a walk-on like Vince make it? How did an undersized Dennis Franks make it to Captain and a Super Bowl?

What makes them champions that they truly are?

In addition to the generosity, champions tend to have, Grantland Rice explains it perfectly.

“How to Be a Champion”

By Grantland Rice

You Wonder How They Do It,
You Look to See the Knack,
You Watch the Foot in Action,
Or the Shoulder or the Back.
But When You Spot the Answer
Where the Higher Glamours Lurk,
You’ll Find in Moving Higher
Up the Laurel-Covered Spire,
That Most of It Is Practice,
And the Rest of It Is Work.

“Do the work, see you on stage at the next event” was how Dennis moved me to do things now.

believe

PS… The 12 short videos are how I took what

Dennis taught me and learned to recruit rejection

free… grab them today.

Richard was the first networker in history on the cover of Success Magazine

I get a phone call and a guy wants to know if he can be on a live-stream… when the live streams first started to work well. Said his name was Richard Bliss Brooke.

I figure right away that it’s a gag set up by good friend Tom “Big Al” Schreiter… who knows my passion in life is helping people help themselves find their bliss. Big word for me Bliss.

I give him a hard time… “what do you want?!?” I ask harshly.

Richard stays on point, [I would have hung up on me most likely ], comes over with his kinetic bride Kimmie and we connected.

Best Trainer and Mentor

Turning the clock back, I’ve had some great mentors and helpers along the way. A guy name Ronnie V picked me up in 1978 and I went to work selling insurance for MONY. Ronnie was my boss. Became my friend and it turns out a brilliant business guy. As we left MONY our friendship grew and he made a difference… until he died a couple of years back.

So, to shorten the tale here, I called Richard, told him about Ronnie, and asked him if he’d consider mentoring me, helping me grow my online presence and fill the biggest of voids, [no retail requirements, no company training etc.] created by all these MLMs.

He’s never forgot why he does this… family is #1

Richard says yes, makes my day. I’m not sure it’s going to work out, hard replacing a 40-year legend. Richard did meet the task easily and did a lot more.

The details are not important but everything in our business, based on 3 calls with Richard and here we are… standing on the precipice of our greatest year; the first 6 months set a record.

Like Tom Chenault, the more I got to know Richard, the more I could see it was a fit. Operating on character and principles instead of hype and personality… on sound business principles, not fashion.

So the best trainer and mentor I’ve ever had in sales, Ronnie V, gets replaced by someone I’ve come to admire and who actually has a big picture mindset.

Big Picture

The Great One’s start with ‘vision” and no one does it better than Richard

What I learned from Richard that supersedes all the other great lessons is the sincerity and gratitude he oozes, giving him an authentic big-picture mindset. He sees challenges in the industry and is pushing a movement to clean it up. He knows Wooden, my mystical mentor who preached, “If we police ourselves, others don’t have to.” Richard is dedicated to that and will take responsibility with others who love this industry and want it improved. He really lives it. Not as a speech, but it’s how the dude lives. Been to his crib, stayed over… he’s making the tougher, right choices.

And, his training is the real deal. See the gurus out there are pitching leads and social media hacks… all baloney except it sells to those afraid or inexperienced. Richard knows this but he also knows that success begins in the mind, a vision that is held. And baby, when Richard is teaching vision, you are getting the right stuff first.

After all, the ancestor of everything is thought. So success, in any venture, begins in the mind and Richard helped Davene, my bride, and this old dog expand our thinking.

Realist, down to earth and someone who has done that is… drum roll, honest.

Richard, thank you for living this poem daily, you are one of the Dynamic Dozen that is “poem worthy” and makes you a top 10 Direct Selling Training must-have.

Ironically, this poem was penned by a guy named Bliss? What are the odds? There are great things Richard has taught me… and let’s not forget Richard and I compete in the same market… which makes his mentorship even more remarkable. See, everyone can say they have an attitude of “affluence” but when he said “yes” I knew I’d hit a vein of gold. Willing to help a loud mouth competitor sold me and solidified trust instantly. Simple ideas, expressed in everyday language has created greater success for us…this, simple yet powerful ideas in everyday language so application is swift and correct is Richard’s gift. And, he plays well with others, sharing and supporting.

So the poem for this bottom-line guy? It had to smack of responsibility… and ownership.

While it has no title … this poem sure has guts.

For you sir…

There is a choice you have to make,
in everything you do.
So keep in mind that in the end,
the choice you make, makes you.

Seems like he wrote is cuz he’s told me that in every conversation… shared options and helped me read the consequences.

Grateful to both you and Kimmie my good sir, grateful

MLM Growth is a byproduct of character. It is not leads, presenting, or closing that will grow your business, it is your principles.

In this ongoing series about the roots of our good fortune in network marketing, we’re looking at the people who took the time, free, to help me.

Tom Chenault is one of the “Dynamite Dozen”. [The 12 who had the greatest impact from MLM and are “poem worthy” ]

MLM Growth

Denice … behind every great man…

Tom Chenault has been amazingly open about his recovery via AA’s 12-Step program… and in those programs, we always hear, “forever placing principles above personalities.”

Maybe that is where Tom started to focus on principles, I can’t say for sure. I do know that our life would not be where it is if Tom Chenault hadn’t stepped into mine with his beautiful bride Denice. Not even close. It was not just MLM growth that Tom triggered, it was the growth of character.

When “Big Al” mentioned me to Chenault for his radio show, Tom was perplexed that I had virtually zero social media clout. Nothing online.

Ditch me? See, Tom was looking for ways to expand his reach. I was not that guy.

But no… he did not ditch me.

And, I had no idea what a fun-loving guy Tom is… so try as he may to loosen me up and get me to talk about Kaua’i and living the dream, I was on some serious rampage.

Ditch me?

Nope.

He helped me, stuck on after the show, and encouraged me.

Had me on more than once and helped me grow an online presence.

CHARACTER

So Pam Schwarz , a trusted associate of Tom’s, finds out the Chenaults are going to be on Kaua’i. Makes Tom promise he’ll hook up with me while visiting the Garden Isle.

He calls and makes arrangements then calls later to push them back an hour.

Finally shows up with Denice and tells me they have something else planned and can only hang out about an hour.

An hour passes.

He’s still sitting in our living room, overlooking the Pacific.

“So did I pass the test?”

I’m sure he’s going to leave because I’m passionate about gurus peddling tools who never really did it and I’m giving it to him about his “cronies” pretty good.

“Test?” he says.

“Yeah, the one-hour thing? You staying?”

He does what I now call “a Chenault”

“Yeah, you know… make up the thing about having to leave when you arrive so you can bail if I’m as ass.”

He laughs… owns it. We go on to have an honest discussion.

Find out we both are both closing in on 30 years of sobriety… [we’ve both made it to 30+] … and that we agree about very little relating to both MLM and AA.

Very little beyond the principles that is.

AA is supposed to be clandestine. Tom thinks that’s out of date. I do not.

He’s progressive… I’m traditional.

He feels things have changed in the world and that part of AA is behind. I don’t.

None of that is important.

It’s what happened next.

He loved me… anyway.

Tom Chenault taught me what I learned in college about the romantics but had forgot.

Follow your heart, your bliss. This rebirth of the idealist and hopeful [never hopeless!] romantic has painted a life second to none. See, Tom’s not about MLM growth, he’s about growth of the character.

Keep first things first, ‘Trust God, clean house and help others’

Tom demonstrated that if I grow my character EVERYTHING ELSE grows too! MLM growth, personal relationships, fellowship… he taught me to live forward, not backwards.

What does that mean? It means that a pin level or check or income doesn’t make me better… if I get better, everything, including my performance, get’s better.

And I looked at his life… he’s not a million dollar a year earner and as a result has the longest-running radio show about home-based businesses… he’s someone who started a show years ago to help others and as a result of helping others, the universe lent a hand.

THE DYNAMITE DOZEN

You see, fashion comes and goes, only principles endure. Today Tom is more open than every about help people who still suffer from addiction, he still has the top home-based business radio show and longest-running and he’s still earning over 7 figures a year in MLM. Why? Principles endure and people who live by principles [not so easy] grow character… and those who give it away? They grow even stronger in character. And so I have seen Tom Chenault defy the difficult, almost impossible thing to do… stay on top.

See getting to the top is one thing, it shows MLM growth. However, staying there, that’s something else that most do not have the charter to do.

So 12 great poems handed down about greatness from John Wooden…for each of these 12 who helped so much and created a debt I can never repay, we offer one of 12 to each…. here’s Mr. Chenault’s and believe me… he does these 4 things and they, in turn, draw greatness of character out of him. He talks about it here if you’d like to know more about Tom

“Four Things”

By Rev. Henry Van Dyke

Four things a man must
learn to do
If he would make his life
more true:
To think without
confusion clearly,
To love his fellow man
sincerely,
To act from honest
motives purely,
To trust in God and
Heaven securely.
