Long break, but back on track!

I had a few weeks off, taken down notes and just doodling. Which I have found to be a great refresher, even when I have a ton of stuff to do, just a few days off can help recharge the soul and get me back on track. It just seemed to have taken a bit longer than expected, but no worries, the next break won't come until next month when I go to Disney for a week, so stay tune for the finishing inks of Naja, Witchblade pin up for a friend, Super Sam for my daughter, Thundarr the Barbaian and sketch cards for Comic for a Cure; www.comicsforcures.com, and in between all that a few logos and whatever jumps my way :) Take care and until next time Peace Mark

Much to do, little ambition to do it?

So I have been busy with home project stuff, yard work, getting things ready for warmer weather. Only to find myself not really drawing! I have gone thru periods like this before, but now when things are due and time is running out I find myself a bit less enthusiastic about getting them done? Not really sure, but I am sure we have all gone done this path, so I am locking myself away for the day, no distractions, no time wasting and getting things done. So watch for a few updates coming down the road, Naja, Witchblade, Thundarr the Barbarian and a Riot Shell cover contest piece, oops, forgot, my daughter wants Super SAM, so that too:) So until next time, Peace Mark

Problem with following contest!

OK, so I noticed that there r a few more followers here at markatopolski.com, which is awesome, thanks so much! The problem is that I offered the 10th follower a free sketchcard of their choice & blogger won't tell me the who joined at what time! I have most of ya at 1/10, which doesn't really help me, so unless ya all can give me a time frame, I will just pick the winner! Which I know sounds unfair, so if ya remember what time ya all joined, thru me a message at mtopolski1@gmail.com so I can be as fair as possible, plus if ya do that thru in what sketchcard ya want & please remember that I do comic books, cartoons are fine too, movie or tv versions r fine too & no, I am not doing this to spam ya mail later, I won't even keep ya address... really sorry for the mishap :(

PumpKid...finally!

Here is the first real PumpKid sketch! I know I have done others, but I have kind of finalized the character and his abilities! There is a new website called, pumpkid.com and in the next month I will be posting character sketches and pencils pages! So if ya an inker, colorist and lettering, I am looking for ya! I am hoping to have something to send out to publisher by early spring time. So contact me if ya interested and if ya a colorist, please give a try out, the color scheme is not to tough, blue jeans, black and white shirt, flaming sword and flaming ball of fire in other hand. I am open to what ever anybody is willing to do!

Sketch magazine and 2 new contest!

I usually don't blog bout to much besides my drawings, but recently Sketch Magazine forum moved over to www.comicrelated.com, which is really a great site. With the move as things are, members get lost, move on or just don't participate for a while. So I threw up 2 new contest, one monthly and another weekly to encourage new and old members to come and join in on the fun! So if ya new, give it a try and if ya an older member, give it a try again!
