It seems google is teaming up with NORAD to give a better picture to all the kids out there.

Want to know what time Santa will be touching down Christmas Eve to fill your stockings and drink the glass of milk you've left him?

Google Inc. is teaming up with Norad, the North American Aerospace Defense Command, to help you make your holiday visit calculations this year. Google announced Tuesday afternoon that children -- and even all the big kids out there -- will be able to track St. Nick's journey around the world using Google Maps and Google Earth.

"The partnership between Google and Norad to bring the Norad Tracks Santa Program to children around the world has been a perfect fit," said Stacia Reddish, a Norad Tracks Santa program manager. "Google has the server power needed for the program, and the fabulous people required in the mapping arena to ensure children know where Santa will be as he makes his trek around the globe."

So how do you track Santa? Go to www.noradsanta.org. They have all the fun and details so you and yours can know the whereabouts of St. Nick this year. :)

Yea, been getting to know Newsdemon Newsgroups, that I talked about in the post below. They are awesome. Fast, 24/7 support, and a news program with a nice help menu to help a n00b like me.

I love learning a new trick. If you are looking for a newsgroup provider, Newsdemon.com is very good. :)

So I have had an itch as of late, to try out something new. Ever heard of Usenet? Well from Wikipedia:

Usenet (a contraction of user network) is a global, decentralized, distributed Internet discussion system that evolved from a general purpose UUCP architecture of the same name. It was conceived by Duke University graduate students Tom Truscott and Jim Ellis in 1979. Users read and post public messages (called articles or posts, and collectively termed news) to one or more categories, known as newsgroups. Usenet resembles bulletin board systems (BBS) in most respects, and is the precursor to the various web forums which are widely used today. Discussions are threaded, with modern news reader software, as with web forums and BBSes, though posts are stored on the server sequentially.

Sounds like an interesting place, don't it? Now getting to it is the trick. Internet providers sometimes have access to newsgroups, but if they do it is usually limited. Then the only thing you can do is find a service provider. Who?

That is where Newsdemon.com Newsgroups comes in. I have done a little digging, and asked some friends about who they recommend. They suggested Newsdemon. It has great rates with fast speeds! I wanna try it out myself, but from the looks of it Newsdemon is for the novice and the advanced user. It has plans and rates for anyone, with the prices very reasonable. They have 24/7 support if any problems do arise.

It seems to me Newsdemon.com Newsgroups is the choice for price, speed, and support.

I really want to try them out.

Vote For A Dem This Fall

So it is either Clinton/Obama vs. McCain this fall. Ya know, 8 years ago I would have voted for McCain. He didn't flip flop as much back then... but I wouldn't vote for him now since he hitched his wagon to Dubya. Who would have thought he would be the Republican nominee?

I will be voting for the Dem this fall, but it seems pointless since my state always goes red. Really, that sucks. We need to get rid of the electoral college and let the one with the most votes win.

I am going to go on a movie search to post something... so I shall return. This is only temporary though... :)

By the way, this web page isn't first anymore on a google search for markedhoosier. That is just WRONG. :D

I have decided to quit my little blogging home here. Who knows, one day I may return... but for now I don't have the time or the inclination to continue. Okee dokee, lets look at this meme thing Katie and defenestrated got going. So what do I have to do?

Um, ok... here I go.

I am not much of a music person anymore. I don't mind music, but I like things to be quiet now. Don't know when this happened, but it is how I am now.
I owned the greatest cat in the world when I was a kid. We named her Pepper, and she showed up on my parents doorstep when I was 4. She was very independent, a great hunter, tough, and she preferred my brother and I more than my parents. She lived a long life, and died when I was about 22.
I like amusement parks, but I really don't get the point of waiting in hour long lines for a 2 minute max ride. So I don't go much.
I can't bluff at all in poker.
I talk to the wife of my brother more than my brother. Why? My brother and I are just not talkers, but she is.
I never tried Vodka till I was 29. When I was 19, I had my first experience with hard alcohol, and drank way too much and regret what happened afterwards (even though I blacked out so I don't remember.) After that I just stuck to beer, because I couldn't stomach (literally) any hard alcohol.
I love movies, and I like silly/stupid comedies. I don't like all stupid comedies though... like anything with that Get R Done guy are just too dumb for my taste.
I took 6 years worth of spanish lessons, but still can hardly speak the language. I can sorta read it, and can hear something and understand it... but I just can't speak it.

Ok that's it. I am not tagging anyone, but hey if anyone still visits this site, feel free to do one yourself. I am going back into my anti-blogging anti-social seclusion... so see ya in a few weeks or so. Bye! :)

Hello! Hey remember when I took that summer off blogging? Yea, good times... good times.

I am here but not here. I will be filling out a meme, but probably going back into isolation again. What can I say? I am just antisocial right now! :)

Anyhoo, I know of some great blogs to visit while I am out in the hot sun doing thankless tasks like mowing the lawn (really, I hate grass with a passion). How do you find those great blogs? Just check out my Blogroll! They are all nice and they don't bite... well most don't bite.
