Spiderman has always been my favorite superhero ever since I was little. I been drawing him the most out of all other superheros throughout my drawing journey. With the new Venom movie coming out in early October I thought it would only be appropriate to do a quick little painting of Venom. All in all I would it took me 2.5 hours from sketching concept to final inception throughout a week time frame.

This art piece was a quick fun one to do. It was an original sketch
that I went over with sharpie and traced over that to do a tracing
overlay transfer to move the drawing I did to a final piece of paper. I
used a speed ball pen and india ink as well as prisma color markers.

This Captain America Painting was done with Watercolors and took around 6 hours. There was an original sketch that I had to scratch it and start over on the reverse side, which this is the final product. Overall, it turned out good but could be better anatomy of torso..... Still the art piece will be up for prints too

<georss:box>13.692066306877468 -115.839844 64.736135306877472 -33.222656</georss:box>

How to draw a horse head drawing art timelapse

The Spiderman art timelape how to piece was great challenge and very satisfying to do! It was not a hard design by any means. Acrylic paint is easier to use than oil paint, but each has its purpose. All together it took almost 2 hours to paint and over the time frame of half a month. What helped was letting paint dry and working on the spiderman painting with fresh eyes.

Video Art Timelapse: Mixed Media Humming bird

I used a wide variety of art supplies ranging from watercolor, markers,
colored pencils, india ink. Prismacolor is the type of markers and
colored pencils I used. The india ink I used was Higgins and It was the
first time using the type of ink with a brush. Animal artwork paintings
with silhouettes are a very fun experimental type of art to do
especially being mixed media. It might not turn out great and the
painting might need to be edited with photoshop in order sell... all in

Everything I do I learn from whether if its art or not. There is always a goal to constantly improve and never stop doing a process and fine tuning it to make it quicker and optimal. This art piece was an experiment that I wish I did not do some of the work to it. Such as the white outline marker and the grey marker in the clouds... I wish for the silhouette I did some outline instead of all solid black. I am still happy with it over all. However, I wont be putting the print up for sale, but still will be doing the Youtube video, which be up by end of the week.

Wolverine Watercolor Timelapse video

all in all the watercolor comic book art piece took me probably 3 hours with skettching brainstorming and painting it. I have became a little better with editing videos too, which that is another challenge for myself. Using I movie on the mac is defiantly helps a lot. The Pentel Brush pun is so fun to use. It takes out the hassle of dealing with water and cleaning brushes. I hope it lasts a while and does not get ruined.

I was inspired by the wolverine movie. Even though it was a comic book film it connected with its audience very deeply to the point of tears.

This piece was so much fun to do. The Wolverine watercolor was done with subtle bits of gouche. I hopefully will have a youtube video within a week of a timelapse of the piece. It took me about a week with every other day doing it for about an hr and a half. I used the pentel brush pen and the brush is so neat and reasonable price for the quality and convenience it has is awesome. Check out the store to check out purchase by clicking on the art image. Stay tuned for more work!

Mixed Media Tiger Timelapsed video (tattoo inspired)

Lets Be Real, Tracing Has a Bad Reputation

Everybody thinks you cheat at drawing if you do any type of tracing. Tracing has its purpose. Comic book sketches are what I enjoy doing the most and doing variations with transferring the image makes it easy to do with out a computer.

How you should not use tracing

Dont trace other peoples artwork and claim it as your own. That is rule number one and really the only thing you should never do. Artists that do collages take other artists work and claim it as theirs by altering it just slightly.

How you should use tracing

Look at the sketch of Wolverine above. I ran out of space on the right and used the tracing paper to finish up the sketch. Using the tracing paper I transferred it to watercolor paper by taking a dark soft graphite pencil then pressing it down on the watercolor paper. It works magic and so much fun to do!

Mixed Media Tiger Art work

Mixed Media Vs. Multimedia

Maybe you have been using the wrong term all of this time? Without knowing, a great deal of people get confused between the two concepts of mixed media and multimedia. There are two very distinct differences that need to be used to label your art work correctly.

Multimedia

Multimedia is a piece made with multiple forms of media and utilizes them in a harmony. It is not just simply using marker, watercolors, acrylic, and other materials, but other content such as text, video, images, animation, etc. This form of expression is done mainly for entertainment

Mixed Media

Is strictly various art forms combined for a single piece of art. Personally I enjoy this more then doing just acrylic because it leaves one with more freedom to be expressive. For an example if you draw with ink then go over with water water color or vice versa with adding colored pencils to highlight it and add texture.

Check out my art gallery, by clicking here, to see the many ways I used mixed media in my work! The Spiderman piece is my favorite as of right now.

Email Subscription

Materials:

1. Watercolor brush
2. Watercolor paint (yellow, orange)
3. Acrylic paint (black)
4. Colored pencils (red, orange, pink)
5. 6H pencil
6. A creative mind

Do not be afraid of using multiple different types of mediums on a piece. I even used white chalk as the last step, but later decided to take it off. I would have never thought using acrylic and watercolor together, not to mention colored pencils and acrylic paint on the same piece. The effect of watercolor and colored pencils actually give a very appealing result for the moon.
