We all know that the world is going mobile, and business is going to mobile marketing in a huge way — but this passage by Forbes writer Thomas Husson sums it up so well:</p>
<p><strong>“Mobile platforms will act as a catalyst for the next generation of connected experiences. In particular, smart apps connected to products and CRM systems will emerge. In 2013, leading marketers will anticipate the longer-term mobile disruption and shift from tactical efforts to more transformative mobile strategies.” (Forbes February 2013)</strong></p>
<p>Wow – we couldn’t have said it better ourselves – what Mr. Husson is telling us is that companies who can develop a system for brands to capture customers in the mobile environment, keep them in the mobile environment, and more importantly manage those relationships through an efficient CRM will be at the forefront of the mobile revolution.</p>

How quickly we moved from desktop to laptop to mobile device is a testament to the great innovators of our time, and to the unabashed will of humankind to continue to strive for a better and more productive way.</p>
<p>I recently saw a quote from Chetan Sharma about the future of mobile. He said:</p>
<p><strong>“The mobile industry is entering what I call the <i>“golden period”</i> of its evolution. The <a href="http://chetansharma.com/OperatorsDilemmaFourthWave.htm">fourth wave of mobile</a> is going to generate trillions of dollars over the course of the next decade. The ecosystem will become more diverse, each of the major verticals will get redefined by mobile, and consumers around the globe will benefit tremendously from connections to information, intelligence, objects, and each other. Enterprise productivity and efficiency will increase manifold and the golden period of mobile will help shape human history.”</strong></p>
<p>Mr. Sharma gets it. What we once thought about and dreamed about is at hand – a fully connected world that lives, works and plays without being tethered to a desk or wall.</p>

They say &#8220;you should see this website, it looks really cool and has a great corporate video&#8221;. You go check it out, and indeed the site is well designed, and it does have a really cool video &#8212; one that is well conceived, dynamic and does a great job of selling the business and its products.</p>
<p>Sound great?  Well &#8212; Until you look at the view tracker and see that video has had a whopping 8 views. 8! That tells you two things:</p>
<p>1. There are 7 employees of that business because the owner has watched the video twice and the employees once each.</p>
<p>2. The owner or marketing director has missed the point entirely. </p>
<p>Simply put &#8212; great video without views is the proverbial redwood falling in the middle of the forest &#8212; nobody sees, nobody hears and nobody cares.  The business &#8212; and its video content, are invisible to the outside world.</p>

<p>For the last few years, we’ve been telling our clients that video is the easiest way<br />
to get indexed in the search engines and, in some cases, get to the top of Google<br />
search. I don’t want to overstate ‘getting to the top’ because that means a lot of<br />
things to different people and, of course, it is all keyword dependent.</p>
<p>An article on Forrester reaffirms what we already know from our own work in<br />
the distribution and syndication of online video. The 2009 article talks about<br />
using video to get on the first page of Google. Despite the fact that the video<br />
space has become significantly more cluttered and Google has changed its<br />
search algorithm multiple times, video search is still an extremely viable and cost<br />
effective marketing tool.</p>
<p>In the initial research from Forrester, it shows that properly using video for search<br />
gives you a more than 50X greater chance of getting on the first page of<br />
Google.</p>
<p>That’s a very, very powerful piece of information. Quite frankly, the 50x may<br />
not be accurate now but a 40x, 30x, 20x or even 10x advantage in SEO is still<br />
incredible. While we don’t know the exact stats, we’ve experienced first-hand the<br />
power of video search results.</p>

<p>Right now, I still don’t know of an easier, more efficient or cost effective way to<br />
do search engine optimization. We call it Video Search Engine Optimization<br />
