Ladies Luncheon

For those of you that made it to the Ladies Luncheon, thank you for attending this last Thursday. We had a lovely turnout and the food was delicious. Everyone wanted to know who catered the event, and in case you missed it, the answer is Olive Garden. I think the braised beef was everyone's favorite, yum. Oh, I forgot about the dolcinis (mini desserts), which were also incredibly scrumptious. Here are a few pictures from the event.

Now onto to a customer's home. I wanted to feature some homes of our customers and Jane sent in the photos below. She purchased these chairs from Market St. for her log home in Colorado.

I am guessing that Jane had lots of fun decoartating her log cabin. For some reason, it does seem even more fun to furnish and decorate a weekend/summer home than it does one's weekday house. Perhaps because we associate the weekend or second home with fun and relaxation. I admit that I thoroughly enjoyed furnishing the house at our ranch. I loved incorporating casual elements like burlap, feed sacks, and old rusty things.

Refresh for Spring

A few days agao, I was driving down a country road near my ranch and the smell of the fresh air was so wonderful!! I thought I would share it with you. Well, I couldn't include the smell, but I did take a few pictures for you. It was heavenly; and the spring flowers aren't even blooming yet.

This is my favorite place to have a cup of tea in the morning.

With all this talk of spring, I am ready to embrace it with my inner shopper. What looks good to me at the shop? Glad you asked!! Here are my picks.

And we just unpacked a huge truckload of consignment furniture. Over 140 items! Of course we have lots more at the shop; so come by if you are looking to redorate or just add a few fresh touches to your home.

As for the freezing temperatures, personally, I am tired of it all. Okay, it wasn't that bad, but really if I wanted this kind of weather I would live up north somewhere. Here are some Easter things in the shop that are helping to cheer me up as I wait for spring to appear.

I love this antique clock. It is even more beautiful in person. I wonder what it would look like in my foyer....

We have these great new soaps that make for wonderful gifts. Having had a Westie for years, I love anything in the shape of a Westie. Remember the old magnets shaped like a Westie and Scottie dog? These soaps remind me of those magnets. The soaps also come in the shape of eggs.
