2013 is already proving to be a fantastic year for Marketpoint. We kicked off the year with the Event Production Show 2013 on 5th – 6th February, Olympia, London.

As the Official Registration and Technology Partner, we brought innovations such as QR code badging, cloud-based data and iPad lead retrieval to the exhibition for the first time.

Marketpoint were official sponsors at the Exhibition News Silverstone race day on Friday 2nd November 2012.

The EN Race Day provides an opportunity for the exhibition market to come together to focus on central industry issues, exchange ideas, build relationships and have the opportunity to drive round the famous Silverstone race circuit.

The team had a fantastic day, speeding around the track in Nissan GTRs. Our Tradeshow specialist,  Jade Nunn beat the boys with an 85% technical score on the track!

The 2012 Marketpoint Global Network meeting took place in the historical Shakespeare Globe Theatre where our guests were treated to guided tour of the Globe to learn more about its history and of course, the man himself, Shakespeare. Built in 1599, the theatre played an important role in Shakespeare’s plays, its round shape being designed to help actors project their voices to audiences around them. It was then destroyed by fire on June 29th, 1613, and a second Globe Theatre was built on the same site by June 1614. The theatre then closed in 1642, and had to wait over three centuries for the new and modern reconstruction of the Globe which opened in 1997.

After a busy day of discussions and debates at the Globe, the team headed to Embankment pier to join a boat party up the river Thames, a fantastic way to introduce our overseas partners to everything London has to offer.

Marketpoint and Eloqua teamed up to provide a complimentary presentation evening on 26th September 2012, designed to introduce charities to the opportunities of Marketing Automation.

Marketpoint jet off to sunny Houston, Texas to support clients Emerson and Thern.

Dave, our Tradeshow specialist had a busy few weeks. After a very wet and windy experience at Intermat tradeshow in Paris,  he jetted off to the boiling Houston, Texas for the yearly Offshore Technology Conference (OTC), an exhibition for oil and gas technology.

Emerson had a successful show, topping last year’s sale lead count, even in today’s economic climate. This may be due to more direct leads and quick follow up from using Bluetooth scanners and the Marketpoint Lead capture app on ipads in order to capture attendee information immediately and even send them follow up emails during the show itself.

Emerson made full use of the Tradeshow system by also using our media viewer app, which allows engaging and interactive presentation of literature such as word docs, videos and imagery.
