"Manufacturing data is a bellwether for the health of the manufacturing sector and the entire economy. We have seen manufacturing data pick up in June, and analysts are very positive of manufacturing data going forward," Sanchez said Friday, adding that strong numbers would point to a backdrop that is positive for earnings going forward, particularly in the manufacturing sector. This movement and trouble for bond market liquidity followed the release of disappointing retail sales, Producer Price Index and Empire manufacturing data, the authors wrote. Trump Jr.'s attorney, Alan Futerfas, said Friday that Trump Jr. had not disclosed all the facts of the meeting because it "concerns events that occurred 13 months ago that were considered insignificant at the time and essentially forgotten." And so people began to invest in commodity index swaps, swap agreements that gave exposure to a broad basket of commodity prices. Equities have been considered an asset class for decades, and index funds have been around for a lot longer than commodity index swaps. The stock market has entered Bizarro World, and nobody really knows why, but they suspect that this is all somehow related to indexing, which, as a strategy, has attracted trillions of dollars in assets under management. On Thursday Mr Temer said in a TV statement: "I never authorised any payments for someone to be silent.

read more visit us Markets

"CNBC" declare : Stock market 'already assumes' a Trump impeachment

The U.S. stock market "already assumes" President Donald Trump will be impeached, strategist Boris Schlossberg told CNBC on Wednesday. Ahead of the latest Trump controversy, Art Hogan, chief market strategist at Wunderlich Securities, on Tuesday tried to explain the muted market reaction to political turmoil. And perhaps it's not because the market thinks there's a constitutional crisis but it already assumes impeachment," Schlossberg, who has been a frequent Trump critic, said on "Squawk Box." Also on the show on Wednesday, Jack Welch, formerly CEO of General Electric who's close to Trump, said an impeachment "would blow the market away." "Why such a muted reaction in all the markets against the news today?

as declared in Jack Welch: Impeachment of Trump would 'blow the market away' 4 Hours Ago | 00:45Jack Welch, the former CEO of General Electric who has President Donald Trump's ear, told CNBC on Wednesday that an impeachment would crush the stock market. "An impeachment proceeding would blow the market away," Welch said on "Squawk Box." The botched Comey firing is an example of Trump's inexperience in running a bureaucracy, the executive chairman of Jack Welch Management Institute said. Welch also said Trump's firing of James Comey as FBI director was a "rookie mistake." Financial stocks had mostly led post-election market gains as the industry was set to benefit the most from corporate tax cuts, deregulation and a rise in interest rates. Financials such as Citizens Financial, Charles Schwab and Bank of America were among the 10 worst performers in the S&P 500 Wednesday morning. In the first quarter of 2017, "the oil market was almost balanced," the International Energy Agency said in its latest monthly report. The aim was to reduce a glut in global oil supply that had depressed prices. But oil at above USD 50 a barrel has, in turn, attracted higher-cost producers in the United States back to the market, and frantic American drilling will push non-OPEC supply throughout the year, the IEA predicted. "Of course, things will change elsewhere in the balance, and today the most closely watched data point on the supply side is US crude production," the IEA said.

as informed in
Oil market re-balancing seen accelerating: IEA By Investing.com

Oil market re-balancing seen accelerating: IEACommodities 5 hours ago (May 16, 2017 06:31AM ET)Investing.com - The Tuesday said the oil market was almost balanced in the first quarter. The oil market has essentially reached a balance and will continue to accelerate in the near term, the International Energy Agency (IEA) said in its monthly report published Tuesday, just nine days before OPEC's much anticipated ministerial meeting. Global oil markets are on course to reach a supply-demand balance in 2017, the IEA said, with supply deficits expected to pick up speed in the near term. "In the first quarter of 2017, we might not have seen a resounding return to deficits but this report confirms our recent message that re-balancing is essentially here and, in the short term at least, is accelerating," the IEA report added. The small-cap Russell 2000, which could be among the greatest beneficiaries if the tax plan passes, was up 0.6 percent, at 1419.43. The two lower brackets would be 10 percent and 25 percent under the Trump plan. European shares hovered close to 20-month highs as retail stocks led the gains on Wednesday. The sector was buoyed by strong earning reports with French luxury brand Kering posting record quarterly sales.

read more visit us Markets

collected by :Jack Luxor
