A couple of days ago I posted about Elle Moody and I attending the PrettyCity Annual Beauty Sample Sale, But In totally forgot to tell you about the newest beauty procedure that adds oomph to  your wimpy lashes and gives them a major lift!

The company is Babydoll Lashes the product Silicon Eyelash perm….

As Elle and I mixed and mingled through the crowd at the sample sale we were drawn to the woman in the corner ( a vendor)applying colorful gook to someone’s lashes….Me being nosey;  y’all know I asked What The Heezy was going on… The technician and CREATOR of the procduct/ procedure  Shea Gibson, explained to us that she was “perming” yes! Perming this ladies lashes…..

The procedure takes lashes that are limp, straight and short and basically brings them back to life… they don’t look like the ladies in the mascara commercials but they are very noticable and even have a nice curl to them they appear straightened, longer and also appear to make your eyes look wider like you’re really awake…so you can throw those lash curlers in the drawer!

The technique is fairly simple a little lengthy (about 45 minutes- 1 hour)  the results are AWESOME and last about 2 months depending on the shedding cycle of your natural lashes.

Elle had her lashes done and I was in amazement with the results! I think I’m gonna give it a try!!

Today is the 1st of a new series on Married 2 Makeup called D.I.Y. Wednesdays! basically every Wednesday I’ll either show you how to do or make something…. these projects range from: recipes,  facial/skincare recipes, haircare recipes, and simple at home projects…

This week’s recipe comes from Tricia Browne of Handmade Body Care

Facial Scrub:

2 tablespoons Cornmeal

2 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon Oilve Oil

Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl. After cleansing your face, apply scrub using circular motions (avoiding eyes). Rub gently for one minute all over  rinse thoroughly and  follow with toner.

Facial Toner:

1/2 Cup of Witch Hazel

1 teaspoon Alum

5 fresh Mint Leaves

Add alum to witch hazel in a bottle with a top. Shake gently to mix well, add mint leaves and shake again. Apply toner using cotton pads (avoid eyes).

Enjoy!!

Hey y’all!!

A few months ago I posted about a Beauty Sample Sale being held by Pretty City here in Atlanta,  me and my buddy Elle Moody of Elle-moody.com attended the event and had a blast!

Although the event wasn’t exactly what I had imagined it was FAB nonetheless!

What I imagined was a room filled with beauty vendors selling makeup items at a discount…. but in reality it was a variety of things, there were hair products & demos, body care demos & products, great desserts, health and wellness professionals, jewelry sales a few up and coming companies, a candy station which was BEAUTIFUL &  even wine! (and y’all know MsChrys likes a nice glass of wine)

To top that off the goodie bag was one of the best I’ve scored from an event of this type

Elle & I really enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait for the next event!

Hey Beauties! back in November I had the pleasure of attending Makeup Forever’s Very 1st Road show here in Atlanta (woot woot!). The Roadshow was a 3 day event that focused on helping Makeup Artist Improve their craft/talents, build their brand and businesses, and network with other makeup artist.

There were makeup demonstrations, Q& A Sessions, lots of class participation and the presenters were so down to earth and Friendly! There was so much knowledge in the building! so much to absorb for those who are really trying to make it in the Makeup Industry, I learned so much from each of the presenters and classes I attended….Best of all it was  FREE!!

Me Getting My Face beat by David Hernandez with only a MUFE Flash Color Palette (he did everything with just this palette: eyes, brows, contouring, foundation, liner, shadow, and lips!) It was so versatile I had to get one for Myself!
