A large batch of new soaps!

Ok we want here to go directly to the point : we have a lot of new soaps with new fragrances. So I guess I should just make a list here so you can judge for yourself and shop one or several of those really nice products from France.

In the "classical" shape (and weight) section of our Provence soaps; here are two new great fragrances : Lime and Raspberry.

Nearly two weeks ago we had tons of soaps that arrived from Marseille. Among our regular products we also received some new ones which will be put online as April unfold.

Hello,

Finally, our heavy load of household Marseille soaps has left the soap factory and is en route to Canada.

Unfortunately it will take longer than expected since the cargo is planned to dock on March 26.

Meanwhile, we still have enough 300g olive oil cube soaps to hold on until the end of March, so please enjoy them :)

Tomorrow afternoon on Tuesday 19th, our missing soaps with sku starting with the letter L will be available again (except soap powder, L500POU and L250POU which is discontinued).

Hello,

The ship carrying our Marseille soaps is going to dock next week at the Port of Montreal, on Thursday, January 14th to be exact.

Of course, that does not mean we will have our missing soaps right away since they must be unloaded and go through customs clearance. So, we hope to see many of our soaps available again sometime during the week of January 18th.

Note that only soaps whose reference (or SKU) starting with the letter "L" are going to be restocked at this time.

There will be a couple of new products, but we will unveil them later on. :)

Hello,

The watchful eye will have noticed the stock level of our Marseille soap which seems more like the level of available water in California.

Handmade Marseille soaps and cornucopia will obviously never match.

So what's next?

The good news is that we are having right now a load of soaps on their way to the boat. This merchandise should arrive in Montreal around mid-January, perhaps a little earlier. This applies to all Marseille soaps with the reference code starting with the letter L, like this one.

The bad news is that Marseille soaps with code beginning with the letter S are not yet manufactured, for example cubes soaps for the laundry (household). As I am writing those words, we can not give an estimate of arrival but it would be surprising to receive those soaps before the end of February.

Of course and as we often hear in the Montreal's Metro: other messages will follow.

Meanwhile, we will take care of our website, improve a thing or two and take it easy a little bit. Part-time Holidays are perhaps not such bad news after several years without taking any.

Household Marseille cube soaps reloaded.

We just received household Marseille soaps from France!

As you may know, when a household Marseilles soap has just been made, it contains a lot of water. Our soap makers put them on wooden shelves in order to let them dry.

However, when those soaps arrive here in Canada, they are still a little bit wet, so we too have to let them rest on wooden shelves for a bit.

Here is what a "wall" of olive oil soaps look like!

A new scented soap is now available in our catalog : the orange blossom Marseille cube soap.

It is also a gently exfoliating soap, still a lot less exfoliating than other scented cubes 300 grams.

If you like orange blossom fragrance, you can find it in different forms of soaps :

250g oval soap and our small 25g heart-shaped soap.

Obviously we are running out of stock of some Marseille soaps.

This is due to a very successful Christmas market which has drown our stock down, much more than expected.

Of course out Christmas market is a good excuse. To be honest, the guy who manage our stock (me) is to blame. Since I can not fire myself, I did the only think possible: ordering more soaps from France.

So here we go, we have right now a big order in process in Marseille and it should arrive in Canada at the beginning of spring.

Soon enough to have some snow left on the ground as we will be heading to pick up our pallets...

Christmas eve is in sight and even closer in time is the Nutcracker Market held right on the ground floor of the Montreal Convention Center.

Since the Nutcracker Market started, back in 2010, we never missed a single call and this year is no exception to the rule.

Au savon de Marseille will be at booth 52.

As usual, the admission is free and 10% of our sales will be donated to the Nutcracker Fund for Children.

Aleppo soap lovers might be (temporary) happy.

We have just received a few Organic Aleppo soaps with 40% of laurel bay oil.

Quantity is limited, so enjoy it while it last and to be honest, we do not know how long it will last or if we will be able to get some more of that soap in the futur.

Marseille soaps journey to Canada.

Between late winter and early spring, our Marseille soaps stock was at its lowest level ever.

This has been due to changes in logistics but for the most part, bad storms that hit Europe had drastically delayed maritime traffic at that time. It took almost three times longer for our Marseille soaps to reach the coasts of Canada!

Fortunately, everything is now back to normal and our last pallet of soap just arrived this week at the Port of Montreal.

We did not even had time to set up our Christmas tree but Santa Claus has already brought some surprises at Au savon de Marseille!

No unknown fragrances but still three new soaps have made their way to our online store:

Many of you asked for it, so we got it for you!

The genuine rotating soap from Provendi!

A unique concept, born during the 50's in France, this soap, also known as the revolving soap, is very economical since it may be used for 800 to 1000 hand washes.

Mounted on a chromed metal rod, it is practically fixed on the wall. This way, the rotating soap is always easy to handle and do not lie down in water, thus allowing it to dry between uses.

We offer the complete box containing one sweet almond rotating soap and its metal holder or the single soap unit as a refill.

Today we have added a new kind of Aleppo soap to our online store:

Introducing Aleppo soap with 16% laurel bay oil. This soap is smaller than other Aleppo soaps, 125g vs 190g and is a molded soap.

It comes in replacement of the Aleppo soap 25% laurel bay oil (regular oils) since we can not provide this one anymore and until further notice.

A few days ago, we have also added some Aleppo soaps 25% organic oils.
