This is a piece I did some time ago. I have it on eBay for auction now. It's time for me to clear out some space for easier living! I started painting cherries when I lived in NYC and this is one I titled "The Rockettes". I do miss NY! It will be on eBay for another six days.

Doctor Who The Snowmen Episode

2013-01-16T13:42:00.002-06:00

I purchased the Doctor Who Snowmen episode and loved it. I did this painting after watching it. It's actually one of my favorite Who paintings so far. I love Matt Smith, the eleventh Doctor.

This piece is for sale on Etsy. It's framed with the painting size of 4" x 6".

Rush Limbaugh talking out his ass AGAIN!

2012-11-03T15:50:00.001-05:00

I guess Rush is less concerned about the victims getting aid then he is about party politics.

I wish the man would stop talking shit.

Our Political Asses

2012-11-03T11:19:00.000-05:00

This was done some time ago. Any resemblance to Ann Coulter and Chris Hayes was purely intentional. Unfortunately, for me, I find that it represents the majority of both political parties.

Everyone talking out their ass and no one making

progress to clear up this pile of shit that we are in. It astounds me how we are unable to see ourselves clearly but feel we so can so clearly see the failure of others. I wonder what it would look like if we only allowed to speak of our candidates virtues and not the other's shortcomings.

I can't keep my mouth shut.....

2012-11-03T11:15:00.001-05:00

I have not been a fan of Chris Christie. In fact he has made my "Wall of Shame" on more than one occasion. The fact that he has supported Obama in his this devastation should have nothing to do with party politics. We all can have a firm stand on what we believe and feel but when we find ourselves the ones in dire circumstances, those may change. Republican or democrat, with the past election and the one that's coming, we all should be praying that our Commander in Chief, no matter what political party affiliation, does the best job possible in leading our country. I can guarantee you, those affected by Sandy don't care if the ones giving them aid are democrats or republicans.

Chris Christie's Praise For Obama Frustrated Romney Campaign: Report

www.huffingtonpost.com

Romney insiders told Politico this week that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was Mitt Romney's first choice for the vice president, until he decided Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) would be a safer choice due to some problems with Christie. The information comes just days before the 2012 election and was rel...

2012-09-08T10:59:00.002-05:00

This was an adventure much needed. I've been wondering why I have such an unsettled feeling now but looking back over my life I realized that I've always been a gypsy of sorts. Always looking for something different and new to experience. My dog, Shiner, was the best companion. It was an incredible bonding experience for us. I can't hardly wait to get on the road again with her. Now if I could only find someone who would like to support our travels! Subliminal message......buy art....buy art......

You don't get to see too much of the National Parks with a pet. You have to stay on roads, campground and such. Still, it was wonderful. Shiner loved all the smells in the active bear area!

Where next? I hope this will only the be the beginning of adventures for us. I've not seen much of the US and there is so much natural beauty to see. I don't want to die having a list of things I wanted to see and do. Not having someone (or enough money) to travel with has always been an issue. I have Shiner now so money seems to be the only issue....buy art.....buy art..... In a National Forest you can take pets anywhere so I think our next little trip might be to Arkansas to the Ouachita National Forest to hunt for crystals. A close short trip that should not be too costly. Shiner and I slept in the car a few nights while on the road and it actually worked for us just fine. I guess that really means we are gypsies. A grand title to be sure!

The Break Down

2012-08-31T10:10:00.001-05:00

This is where the car broke down. Just past Tucumcari, NM. Not that you ever hope to break down, but this is NOT the place to have it happen!

This is the view from the motel where we stayed. One full day and a portion of two others. The building you can barely see in the distance is where they put the $750 fuel pump in for us! But then we were off again.

Prior to reaching our destination of Three Rivers, CA, we passed through so many many orchards. I love the way the rows make patterns on the landscape. We saw pomegranates growing, oranges, grapes and olives olives olives! I came home with lemon infused olive oil and some garlic jalapeno stuffed olives. Yum. I think there's a martini in there somewhere!

We finally reached Buckeye Tree Lodge. Shiner was thrilled and her first time in the river was such a delight to her. It was a delight for me too! This is out the back door to our lodgings.
