Marshmallow Kisses

Influenster

2012-11-07T09:15:00.000-08:00

I was recently chosen for an Influenster VoxBox. So here is what I received and what I think of it. Its about a couple weeks late, but I was so sick, so now that I am feeling better here it is.

Kiss® Ever PRO Lashes

I was not a fan of this product it didnt look realistic on me, and it just seemed over the top on me. I did want to try some lashes so I might have to keep looking for a brand with not so much lash.

Bath & Body Works® Fall Mini Candle

This product was gone the second day, the moment I opened the box my husband claimed it, and he loved it. It filled the entire room with this little candle alone. We have boughten biger candles with not that much powerful scent. We tend do buy cheaper candles because he goes thru them so fast but with the $10 coupon I will be purchasing him a bigger one.

NYC New York Color IndividualEyes

I liked this product but I wouldn't usually where these colors often, just on date nights sometimes. I liked the primer it really made the makeup stay on longer, I did the color test in my arm and I fell asleep on the couch and my alarm didnt go off the next morning so I raced to school, and at 6 pm the next day the color strip I did with the primer was still on my arm, so I will use the primer from NYC.

Not Your Mother's Kinky Moves

My all time favorite item in this box, well actually I have two but Not Your Mothers Kinky Moves gave my crazy untamable wavy/ curly hair actual curls. I forgot to take a picture of my hair, but I loved it. It didn't make my hair hard or crunchy it was soft. I also was about a nickel size amount for my thick wavy hair. I just loved how it curled my hair. My hair usually has a mind of its own. One day I wake up with curly hair, or some days its just wavy. So this product I love. I fallowed the directions on this product and it worked. I will buy this product.

Goody Simple Styles Spin Pin

This was my favorite too. I have used this product more than anything else. I love this for when I straighten my hair and I want to put it up and I don't want the crease from the hair tie. I also like how it held up my hair, I have a lot of hair,so I was afraid that it wouldn't hold up all my hair, but I didnt have a problem with it.

Vitabath® Fragrance Mist

I really liked this product as well, it was just the right amount of scent not to overwhelming and it was just simple. I sprayed on me this morning around 7am and I can still smell it on me. I like the scent of the one I received I cant recall the name. But it was nice.

ASU Shirt Purse

2012-11-07T08:05:00.000-08:00

A few weeks ago I had a project due for my Public Admin class, and he wanted us to experience something we wanted to do but haven't done. So I wanted to make a T-shirt purse. It was actually kind of simple. But I did it all by hand and I was really proud of it. I found the tutorial on pinterest.

Halloween 2012 (pic heavy)

2012-11-05T19:32:00.002-08:00

I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday, this post is a little late, but better late then never! The Friday before Halloween we also carved pumpkins and decorated Halloween cookies. It was so much fun. We also went to a festival at a church. The kids had so much fun. Oh and the kids also had a harvest festival that day at their school. So that Friday was an action packed day and by 9 the kids were so exhausted. I will load pictures of the school festival on another post.

So on Halloween, my kids(and niece) had a great time, they loved their costumes. Lily was a Zombie, so we just bought her a monster high costume and did zombie makeup. She thought she was so scary, she didnt want to scare the people giving away the candy! ha ha. My Sammy was Iron Man.As soon as we put on the costume his whole personality changed, He got so serious. Like I am Iron Man. Hilarious! He also slept in his costume that night.

Witch Broom- Halloween Decorations

2012-10-02T12:00:00.000-07:00

My kids and I got together this weekend and made a witch broom decoration. I think its the cutest thing. We bought the broom at Michaels Crafts and we bought the pumpkins at the dollar section in Target. We got the stickers from Michaels too. Oh and the ribbon was from a craft bucket we also got from Michaels as well. I really regret not taking pictures of the kids actually doing it because it was a fun project for them.

Exterior Finished Playhouse. Update

2012-04-29T15:29:00.000-07:00

I spent my entire morning painting. I think I did a really good job! Its not the best and its not perfect. My kids love it tho. The paint on the door is paint I got from Home Depot, it was one of those return paints, so I got a bucket for $5. Then the outline brown paint my step dad had in his shed. I mixed those together to get the red brink paint. I think it came out really nice. I am proud of myself for saving money!

I took out the window for now, I am not sure what I am gonna do with it.

I love how it came out.

Side view there no was sun, so the picture is kinda bad.

Play House Project 1 Update

2012-04-19T10:13:00.000-07:00

Just wanted to inform you guys of the playhouse update. I maybe scraped and brushed all the paint chips off of the house. So we could primer it. This project is not close to being completed. We have a lot going on right now, with our time and money. So I am hoping to have this done by the end of this year.

This is after scraping for about two hours

This is the best picture I could do.

Before pic

After. We added fake grass.

2012-04-19T10:04:00.001-07:00

I found a recipe online for coloring eggs using kool-aid packets. It was really neat, they came out great but I forgot to take pictures of the eggs when I was done with them. It was a great day tho, We had a brunch with my family. When Tony got off work we went to my dads and had a dinner with him, and then off to Tonys mom. We were so exhausted.

Side note, yet again I think I went just a tad bit overboard on their Easter backers. After doing the math later, I spent a lot more then I had realized. Next year I plan to do better! I think. ha ha.

later that day at my dads, I forgot to take pictures of them. In their cute outfits.

My First Garden

2012-04-19T10:01:00.000-07:00

When we moved our new bedroom had a door and outside, on the side of the house it had an area for a garden, so I have taken it on. It had tons of green onions and the previous owner must have just threw seeds in and then turned the dirt. I found some roots about a foot under. I had to try and attempt to get them out. We finished that part yesterday. I forgot to take pictures of that part tho. I also will be putting in seeds either today or tomorrow. I am going to cheat and put in a few already grown plants. I really want a jalapeno plant, garlic, and peppers. So we will see how it goes. Oh, last thing, I found out my mom has a mint growing in her bushes in her backyard so I am going to dig that out and attempt to move it to my garden.

This after my husband gutted the million dead onion plants .

My kids helping me find the onion roots.

I bought potting in pots mix, and I figured I could still use it cause its sort of a pot.

Happy Easter!

2012-04-08T09:00:00.000-07:00

I will post our pics up either later today or tomorrow. Have a great and safe Holiday!

A place of their own.

2012-04-07T10:30:00.000-07:00

This is my first project that I will be taking on. I want my kids to have their own space, and we moved and the guy who owned the property before us, really thought out this house. There is something for everyone here. I haven't decided what I really want to do with this yet. I have an idea, but I am not sure if I am dead set on it. I thought about painting the exterior white and then making it look like it was brick, so with dark red paint . I am also thinking white for the trim. I think it has really good potential. I don't want it to be to cute either , I would like it to be neutral between my son and daughter. I had thoughts of lining the wood, the counter top and side, with shelving paper. But now I am thinking it may loose, its little charm. I am thinking or repainting the inside a light yellow. I also have to get the paint off the door window, and I am in the process of making curtains. I also am thinking of what to do about the fence, and all the dirt. Also the dogs get in there and chew up their toys, the dogs have about ten ways to get in, so I have to figure something out for that too. Do you have any ideas?

bareMinerals Truffle anyone?

2012-04-05T21:57:00.000-07:00

I got a desert truffle glass, for Christmas, in a white elephant. I have never made a truffle, and to be honest its a bit to fancy. My kids would have dropped it and broke it. Well, I was tired of seeing the box just sit on my freezer, and I thought to myself there has to be something I can use it for. Well at first I was going to use it for all my make up but I LOVE bareMinerals and I use mostly bareMinerals. It looks cute with just these items in it and not cluttered full or random makeup. I really love it. I am thinking about adding a bow or something but the materials and ribbon I have on stock is not fitting it just right. but I like it like this for now.

Happy December!

2011-12-01T06:37:00.001-08:00

Yesterday, I received my Sample from target! It's a beauty bag filled with samples! I forgot all about it since I requested it back like in July. I was so excited to receive it tho. Its so pretty. I love the pattern and the feel is kinda like a silky feeling. It came with samples that I would definitely use.

Trick or Treat...

2011-10-31T17:02:00.001-07:00

Happy Halloween! I hope everyone enjoys today! Be safe, be careful!
So far today has been eventful. Lily's school had a harvest festival and we took lots of pictures! I will post them either later or tomorrow. We carved pumpkins! They look really neat. Later tonight we are taking the kids trick or treating! What are your doing on this festive holiday?

Desert Botanical Garden

2011-10-28T12:38:00.001-07:00

Today, I took a trip to the Arizona Desert Botanical Garden. My friend and I went to help a student from the university of Alaska with research data for his doctrine.

There's a few trails but we decided to just take the one needed for the experiment. We saw some interesting plants. We were hoping to see a snake or tortoise, we saw a few birds. Here are some pics that I have edited with filters . Just to make them a little more eye catching!

My Dad.

2011-10-06T11:22:00.001-07:00

I grew up without my dad in my life. I mean he was in my life, but only about 2-3 times a year. maybe he would come by around Christmas, or my birthday, and sometimes in-between, sometimes not. I am not blaming him. I am not blaming me. It just the way it happened. It was mostly a financial relationship, he would give me money when I wanted it. That would be those 2 or 3 times he came.I did go with him to California for a weekend. It was awkward most of the time. I also went to Mexico with him for a week, that was truly an experience. Imagine being in a country, where you don't know the language ( I know very little Spanish) with a dad who you barley know. With his family. I was so scared to eat anything. just because of the rumors. I did find a website about the city that my dad is from and where I visited. I remember my junior and senior year I was in need of more money. The only solution was my dad.
I see him about the same now. My birthday, my kid's birthdays and Christmas. I decided this needs to change so I recently told my dad we would visit him at least once a month to form a closer bond. I want my kids to know him. I went for September already and it was interesting. We had a BBQ and I spent most of the time with my half brother and half sister. While lily played outside with her aunts. They're the same age. But it's a good thing I guess. She can at least be close to them. I will keep you updated on our progress.

Book of the week ( or until I finish it)

2011-09-21T14:03:00.000-07:00

I just started it, I am still in the first chapter. I really like it so far. Usually if I am not into it by the end of the second chapter, I don't finish it. I will keep you updated!
