The enemy is here, but has been repelled with the amazing power of…Holy Vitamin Beta (sounds like the prototype of a very bad video game). First instinct says that the culprit must be the new girl, but this makes no sense…why would she attack Emilia right after she offered to help her? So that means more people are trickling into Japan from Ente Isla?

Hey…what am I supposed to get from this preview? All I can tell you is that it has something to do with watermelons and James from Team Rocket. Does that mean…firecrackers at the beach? Come on…give me something here.

So Mikasa got over Eren’s death pretty quick. I guess that’s the heat of the moment for you. Well, at least she didn’t turn out to be a crazed berserker like Eren…turns out survival has always been her major concern. Which makes her the chosen one who will free humanity from the wrath of the Eotens.

Anyway, the big thing this week, of course, is the Eoten that has chosen to fight against the other Eotens. Is this supposed to be some evolution in the Eotens? What could have caused this change? Or was there always rebellion within the Eotens that was just never noticed? Looks like we’ll find out next week…the preview suggests some big revelation is incoming.

So, the show has finally decided to show its true face with the arrival of the Hideauze. The likelihood that this is an origin of the species is very high so far. The other possibility, of course, is Ledo’s theory that he brought them to Earth. That one’s strange, though, because they seem to have been around for a while before Ledo arrived (which is possible if the two fell into different points in time-space, though).

Things can no longer be peaceful now…Pinion’s salvage quest seems kinda silly, but the split of the fleet was probably bound to happen. Now Ledo will return to being a soldier…so what will happen? Maybe Amy will decide to tag along.

You stand in my way again, my nemesis?

So we got some new characters, it seems, that are linked somehow. Could it be that the Spirit that Mana claims to have killed is actually Kurumi? Well, if we look on the evil side, Mana could have some partnership with Kurumi or something. But based on what is seen so far, the more likely explanation is simply that Mana is hunting Kurumi, who keeps reviving through time magic.

Well, it’s the first Spirit we’ve had who isn’t just scared, but actually has some malicious intent. We’ll see how Shido handles this…if Mana’s really his blood relative, that should mean she has similar abilities, right? When will she get to use those?

Trying to branch off, huh? So another vampire has been created…it was a whole new suit after all. This of course means that there are five in total and three more people will be converted. My vote goes to punk kid for candidate…the high-and-mighty girl too. Not sure who the last one will be…the engineer? Or L-Elf? He doesn’t seem to need it, though. I highly doubt it will be Shouko.

Figaro died pretty quickly and easily…made me chuckle. Well, at least now Haruto has someone else who has become a monster…he can start his recovery back to humanity. So is Haruto’s Valvrave supposed to be balanced while Rukino’s focuses on mobility? Anyway, more Dorssia fights next week, I guess…I can’t tell all that much from the preview.

So they decided to adapt the physical exam scene after all…man, Joe needs more screen time…Kano too. Forget those other people. Anyway, Hibiki seems to have forsaken Ronaldo and Yamato’s paths pretty soundly. The focus on Alcor suggests the New World ending, which I didn’t choose. Maybe I can New Game+ it in time…we’ll see.

Anyway, next one is Megrez…I don’t remember that guy being too hard. Will Daichi finally get some decent demons to fight with? Don’t tell me he’s still using the same ones. Although Kukiri-hime and Lilim from Nitta and Hinako aren’t much better. Sounds like Hibiki carrying the team next week? Also, I’m way more interested in the Dragon Stream being summoned than the whole deal with Lugh and Io…who’s with me?

So it was a side character episode after all. Both Houko and Kashiko get a chance to get all embarrassed for Kiri (and Iwai too a bit in Houko’s case). Man, Iwai’s getting too many allied Authors…thought these guys were all supposed to kill her. What fun will the game be if she just recruits everyone?

Anyway, the Professor seems to be expecting some fun stuff to happen next week…something about Kiri being like him? Does that mean the Professor is also an Author? If so, then maybe he’s learned to fully control his murderous urges. But that doesn’t make sense…if that were the case, why did he sound so somber about Kiri becoming like him? But then what is it?

Praise the almighty afro! The sponge that will bring Pico back! That rover’s coming along pretty quickly…and by that, I mean it’s basically done. Anyone else think it would be funny if it just randomly exploded during the competition? I mean…more likely they’ll take like second or third place, but who doesn’t enjoy a good explosion?

Looks like Mutta is gonna learn more about Pico now that he’s drinking with him and Vince. Then he can save Pico! Somehow. It sounded like Pico was planning to quit once his parachute deployed for Hibito’s return to Earth, so I’m guessing Mutta will have something to say about that.

Finally, everything is done and the kids are graduating. Lots of flashbacks and warm memories…a typical ending for a school show. Wait…what? *whispers off mic* It’s not over? It’s only halfway done? Then what was this episode for? Oh I see…they’re just getting started in the army. Well…this is awkward.

So, I guess now is when the real fight is supposed to begin. If everything up to now was just supposed to be buildup, that was some super slow buildup. Anyway, next week it’s time to meet some new people, I guess. Looks like maybe a look into the enemy’s leader too?

What? More new characters? How many people are they going to try to cram in that tiny apartment? Lucifer’s bad enough…they should make that guy stay with Emilia or something. They’d get along great, right? They don’t really need both Lucifer and Ashiya to do research, right?

Anyway, based on the opening theme, that new character is the cloaked girl from Ente Isla and the one that was watching them at the school. So she must have followed them back, but what’s her purpose? From the preview, she doesn’t look to have any malicious intent yet…but there was talk of killing the characters in Ente Isla, so what is she here for?
