Just returned from the airport in Sliac where we went with my best mate Palo to pick up Warren from the UK. He will be here until next Monday so we have plenty of time to do a lot of things, one of them will be going to a cottage :)

Hello from Denmark

Just to say quick hi from Denmark where I'm on holiday trip at the moment. The time here is very good and I love the country. Today we sailed on a real Viking ship and also we had to row for about 2 miles. Beauty, I have blisters all over my hands. I'll have more than five hundred photos by the time I'm back I guess. Look forward to seeing those. Have a nice day

I have returned from the holiday on Sunday but since I'm kind of very busy working on my new photoblog design. It should be finished soon. On Thursday I'm off to Denmark and I might not be posting for quite a while. I hope you don't mind.

Good old Dolny Kubin

I'm very sorry to announce that I won't be able to post any new entries throughout next two weeks because I'm going to Croatia for a holiday (returning on 6th August). Please bear with me.

While strolling through Dolny Kubin the other day when I needed to get a travel insurance I noticed some funny things. In the first picture you can see a shop with label overhead. On the left of it is written "predaj alkoholu" which is translated into English as alcohol sale. And what's so funny about it? To the right of it there's written "hracky" which means toys. And those two things are sold in the same shop.

And the second thing which struck my eyes was the Tesco's employee centre which has the same entrance as the popular DK pub "U Smida". Maybe they are even in the same room :)

Passed GTA

Sorry for not posting for so long but I've been busy. I'm off to Croatia on Friday and had to prepare for my departure and also been busy finishing off the GTA San Andreas game. And today I finally passed it. I posted a photo of my favourite cars below.

I returned from the cottage in Lucivna today, where I spent the previous 5 days with my girlfriend Mirka. We had marvelous time together, went to play tennis and table-tennis, watched TV, did some barbecue and read a lot of books. Total relaxing, don't know anything better than that in the world. The weather was fantastic apart from some rainstorm with lightnings which cut off the electricity couple of times :)

No Internet this week

I'm going off to the cottage with Mirka from tomorrow until Friday hence I won't be able to update my blog because of no Internet. I hope you can understand. In the meantime you can check my photoblog. I put it on autopilot so new photos will be posted at 6PM every day automatically.

Below you can see the photo of our lawn mower. The holder detached from the main construction because the joints were rusted and when I was trying to move it, it simply broke apart :)

Last days in Prague

Before I went with my parents and my girlfriend Mirka back to Slovakia we stayed in Prague for couple of days together. And I took some photos of our staying. Had a walk through gardens close to Prague castle, went to the exhibition of one of the most famous Czech illustrators Mr. Burian. His paintings of dinosaurs are famous throughout whole world.

The terrorists will not win

I?d like to thank Martin for his kind words regarding the terrible tragedy that occurred yesterday. The city is still coming to terms with what has happened - it was truly shocking. Some people believed it was inevitable that something like this would eventually happen, however that still does not prepare you for the actual event. I was on the tube at Liverpool Street, one of the bombed sections of track, just a couple of days ago, and it really strikes home how close this disaster was to everyone in the city. Everybody here was so happy earlier in the week, following the Live 8 concert and the winning of the Olympic bid, and now some sick bastards have gone and wrecked it all.

The latest reports show that more than 50 people are confirmed dead, people from a whole range of nationalities and religions. It is an attack not just on Britain, but on the democratic way of life, therefore it affects all of us in the West. Our government has to realise though that it needs to police our borders far more strictly, so that people like this cannot slip so easily into and out of the country. The terrorists that executed the events are still thought to be at large in the UK, but today Britain has launched its biggest manhunt in history in the hope that they will be brought to justice. Personally, I hope that once imprisoned, the murderers will be torn to shreds by their inmates - no less than they deserve. Whatever the outcome, the scum that did this cannot win; Londoners have been made stronger by the events, and now this country is even more committed to winning the war on terror. The terrorists have made a fatal mistake for their cause?

I would like to express my sympathy to people struck by a horrific disaster today in London. It touched me a lot, especially because I lived there for two years and was at the places the terrorist attacks happened. I hope that all of my friends and people I know in the UK are OK. It's very sad that world is starting to go downhill because of some mad f****** Islamic groups. To hell with them!

London to host 2012 Olympics

On a momentous day for Britain, London was announced as the host city for the XXX Olympiad in Singapore. Huge crowds gathered in Trafalgar Square to celebrate this joyous occasion, which will be the first time that the games have come to this island for 64 years. London will be the first city to host the games on 3 separate occasions. All this as well after coming from behind to overtake the bid-favourites Paris at the last moment. For me, and I'm sure all other Londoners, this is a proud day that will stand in our country's sporting history as one of its greatest victories. It's so exciting to think that in 2012, the Olympics will be taking place just 15 minutes away from my home, where the whole focus of the world will be on Stratford in London's East End. One of the poorest parts of the city will experience a massive regeneration project, helping to make London one of the most dynamic cities on the planet. Commiserations to the other candidate cities, though on balance I think that the London bid was the strongest and most impressive in what it offered to the future of the games. It was nice to see Paris fall at the end as well :-) No offence to French people in general, but I would love to have seen the look on President Chirac's face the moment he was told he had lost, the arrogant fool. So a great victory for Britain, and one which I hope that the whole of Europe will embrace - get ready for the best Olympics ever!

Day of doing nothing

After the exams are over I can now finally do some relaxing :) And that was all I did today, it is so cool, not to be forced by any deadlines, exams or test. I feel the holiday has started.

I'm afraid I won't be online until Sunday evening because they're switching off the boarding house network tomorrow and then I'm planning to spend couple of days with my parents here in Prague. In the meantime you can have a look at my photoblog, I set photos to be published at 6PM every day. Enjoy.

Module B is over

After the module B exam is over I would like to show how many books I must have read through. The module B exam is composed of five subjects - biology of the cell, genetics, organic chemistry and metabolisms, immunology and histology. Luckily I passed it yesterday!

Today a miracle happened!!!

You won't believe what, I passed the exam. It was my lucky day today. I got a perfect examiner commission and picked quite good exam questions to talk about. And to my great surprise, they let me pass!!!

And all this is thanks to my loved girlfriend Mirka, for her support. If it was not her, I would have gone nuts...
