4th Annual Maker Faire Bay Area: Re-Make America

Following on President Obama's call to "begin again the work of remaking America", Maker Faire 2009 will be organized around the theme of Re-Make America. Held in the San Francisco Bay Area on May 30-31, Maker Faire celebrates what President Obama called "the risk takers, the doers, and the makers of things." The fourth annual Maker Faire will showcase individual creativity and grassroots innovation in the largest festival devoted to DIY culture and technology in the country.

With that as a backdrop, I am very happy to introduce a new Meyer Import customer, Celebrate 365.

While most of our customers are designers or artists, Celebrate 365 is one of the leading magazines on the subject of Christmas Ornaments. It's all about collecting, buying, designing and interacting with active community of like minded folks.

I am also happy to report that I recognized a number of the "linked" bloggers and designers on Celebrate 365 who are already Meyer Imports Customers.

For our Take and Make line, we have created kits of our Spun Cotton and Plaster Mushrooms (all vintage West German production) and coupled them with straw and mosses. (The moss is also imported from Germany as part of our Natural Fiber lines). The retail line all come packaged in very nice "Crystal Clear'  containers, and are great for keeping your items organized at home and even better for displaying in a retail store.

And, of course, we will continue to offer all of our products in Bulk Quantities! Just look for the "BULK QTY" button to take you directly to larger quantities of any items. Today, we have the Mushroom and Moss area rebuilt, and next we will update the Glass Glitter section. This should really help to make it faster and easier to find just what you are looking for, but give us some time to get all the categories redone in this new format!
