TGoMaps 3 Lite use the same engine of TGoMaps 3 (Google Maps API v3) but with some limits:

• Support only markers, polylines and directions;
• Max 15 markers;
• Max 10 polylines;
• Max 1 direction;
• No geodecor;
• No proxy settings;
• No map styled or map image;

You can use it for NON-COMMERCIAL project for free.

From 2 november until 12 dicember download the demo application of TGoMaps 3.x (we will update it often, so you can be sure to have the last version). Use it, find bugs and report it by mail.

On 15th december we will draw 1 user that have report a bug, these user will be receive a free copy of TGoMaps 3.x WITHOUT source.

Rules:

• The contest starts from 2 november and finishes on 12th december;
• Every user can send us one or more bug reports;
• Every bug report increases the possibilities of being raffled;
• Only bug reports that have found a new bug (not found before by anybody else) will be considered valid (for this reason we will update the demo application often);
• In the mail that reports the bug you must write the username that you use on MartinZone website;
• The winner will be contacted after 15th december by mail.

We have decided to rewrite all TGoMaps code, so this is not only an upgrade but a new component based on the new Google Maps API v3 (the current TGoMaps 1.x stable version is based on Google Maps API v2).

We have preferred to rewrite all the code because the old code was written in several times and therefore it was difficult to optimize. The new code was designed and written to be optimized and extended, also through the use of new API v3 is faster and easier to use.

Our customers can download and use TGoMaps 3 for free (only customers with a valid subscription), please send us reports on all the bugs you find so we can correct it quickly and release the stable version.

The new version of TGoMaps is not compatible with the previous one, you can not upgrade an application by simply replacing the component in your Delphi or C ++ Builder, you will edit a part of you application code. So be careful, we do not recommend TGoMaps 3.x on applications that are already used by TGoMAps 1.x. We understand that this is a big inconvenience for you and for this reason we will continue to update the old TGoMaps 1.x (only bug fixes, no new features will be added), but we think it was necessary to rewrite the code in order to optimize the component and make it easily upgradeable for the future.

In future we will develop in parallel TGoMaps 1.x that TGoMaps 3.x, however TGoMaps 1.x will receive only bug fixes. The new features will be added only on TGoMaps 3.x.

In this moment TGoMaps 3 supports many features of old TGoMaps (about 90%) besides it adds exciting new features:

• Full support for Google Maps v3 API; 
• Fast Item Update: all objects have two simple functions (BeginUpdate, EndUpdate) to a fast and easy update;
• Elevation Points: get the elevation of map points;
• StreetView: the new API v3 API have a different management of StreetView object, now you can manage also the streetview controls if you need;
• Image Maps: you can use different maps providers (Yahoo, Microsoft, OVI, OpenStreet, ...) inside your component;
• Styled Maps: change the color of your map.
• Polygons Path: draw complex polygons with path support;
• Complex Polygons: many type of polygons such as circles, pentagons, stars, ...;
• InfoWindows objects: put your infowindows on the maps is very easy;
• GroundOverlay objects: put images on your map;
• Directions: new code with TSP support and waypoint draggable support;
• Powerful JS console: take control of javascript code;

A new lite version based on TGoMaps 3.x will be released between 2/3 weeks.
