I've made some changes to the lights, thickened the hair, adjusted the beard and added eye lashes. Also the skin and eyes are tweaked as well.

Long time no post but I'm back now. Just some doodles playing around with some different character ideas. They are far from done but I figured I'd post them anyway.

Tomato Project update4

In this update I changed the direction of the streaks on the knife, added the cucumber and changed the texture on the sliced tomato. Not sure I'm done with the cucumber yet but I'm moving on to the lettuce for now, I've also removed the water droplets until the rest of the scene is finished.

I've added a salad bowl and made some adjustments to the sliced tomato shader. Also added a little more reflection to the water droplets so they would show up better.

I've done some more modeling on the sliced tomato, modeled the cutting board and added a counter top object. Still need to add some tomato juice on knife blade and maybe more water and juice on the board. I still plan on adding a few more vegetables to the board and some kitchen items to the counter. The background is an image dropped in in Photoshop.

I've added a sliced tomato which is textured with a photo. I haven't decided if I'll go back and do a hand painted version of that yet. Also I found a permanent wood texture for the cutting board I creaded a bump map with scratches and groves for individual planks of the cutting board. Now I'm going to model a few more vegetables and a cutting board object.

The begins of a scene that will be a whole tomato, a sliced tomato on a cutting board sitting atop a kitchen counter. The tomato and knife blade have hand painted textures created and the ground plane uses a stock wood texture. Everything is modeled in 3ds max and rendered with V-ray.

Some stills from the Banana project. All done in 3ds max no Zbrush was allowed and mental ray was used for rendering. Modeling, texturing rendering and animation had to be done in about 7 days along with other projects.

I made some modeling changes to the cheeks, cheek bones, forehead and brow area. I also added some noise to the water on the lower eye lids. I'm going to call this guy done for the moment until I get some feedback saying something needs changing.

I wasn't completely satisfied with the skin shader I had. This is what I've come up with over the weekend. The texture needs a lot of work and I have some model fixes to do but the shader is 90% done.

My latest Anatomical study. I wanted to create a heroics male head and render it with V-ray inside of 3ds max. I rendered each head separately them composited them back together along with the text. 3dsmax was used for compositing the heads and background through the use of a composite map place in the environmental background slot, the text was layered in after using AVS Video Editor. Zbrush was used for digital sculpting and Topogun was used for retopologizing the sculpted mesh.

I broke down and decided to learn some rigging rather than keep transposing my models. I'm going to start playing with the bone vertex weights.
