She made the suggestion that republicans that wrote an open letter stating that any deal made by Obama without congressional approval is not valid, are helping the Iranians. I guess maybe she thought that making a meaningless but controversial accusation would deflect attention away from her troubles over her email issue. Uh, no…

She said several things during her press conference that were misleading, outright lies or just plain stupid, so I will talk about them one at a time.

The first thing she said was that the reason she did it was that it was simply a matter of
“convenience” for her to have one email for her work and personal email rather than have 2 devices for separate email accounts. I take exception to this for several reasons.

Firstly, I would ask her if she is that stupid or does she think we are all that stupid? Any child knows you can set up more than one email account on one device, so the 2 device excuse makes absolutely no sense.

This is also a blatant lie, since she was asked in an interview a couple of weeks ago whether she used an iPhone or an Android and she first replied iPhone, but then said, for full disclosure, also a Blackberry. So she stated she uses 2 devices, so how can she claim 2 weeks later that she set up the private email so she would only have to use 1 device?

I also find it very difficult to believe that the private email she set up was the only email account she used for everything. Most people would have a private email account that’s only for family and friends and keep it totally separate from work.

Another thing is, she went to all the trouble to set up, or have set up, a private server to handle this email account. Setting up a server is no small task. It’s fairly complicated. I think it’s safe to say that she didn’t do it herself. I also think it’s safe to say that it’s far from “convenient” to set up your own server.

She didn’t say who set it up. She didn’t say where it is. She didn’t say what kind of security it had. She didn’t say a lot of things, but she did say she wouldn’t turn it over for investigation. Hmmm…

She said it was “guarded”. I wonder exactly what she meant by that. Is there an armed guard standing at the door where it is? Is she serious? There could be an army “guarding” the server but that’s not going to stop a cyber attack. Hackers don’t knock at the door or even break in the building. They attack over cyberspace. She stated that there was no security breach. Well, maybe there was no security breach that she KNOWS of. Does she think that if a foreign power hacked into her account, they would tell her or let it become known in any way? Spies don’t call up and say, “Hey, we found out some secrets”. From what I’ve read, the security on her private server is outdated, inadequate and insecure.

She also stated that having her own private email is allowed by the state department. This is a misleading statement because it may very well be allowed that she have a private email account. That doesn’t mean that it’s allowed that she use it for all of her government state department business.

I would also like to know if her own “convenience” is the most important thing to her. Is it more important than security and protecting the secrets of the U.S. while conducting the business of the secretary of state? Is it more important than complying with the law?

She said that she complied with the laws in effect at the time she was in office. This is not necessarily true. According to Judge Napolitano, the public records act of 1950, later added to by her husband when he was president, states that the government owns all the emails when you work for the government. It also states that they be in the position of the government. By her setting up a private server, not in possession of the government, she could have broken the law. She certainly thwarted the intention of the statute.

It also states that when you leave office, you can ask for your private emails back, but the government decides which ones are personal and which ones are government business. She stated that she made the decision which ones were which and only gave the ones SHE deemed governmental back to the government. That’s not the way it’s supposed to work.

Also, according to the Judge, she should have signed documents upon taking office that stated she would keep in the government’s possession the control of classified documents. If any, even one, of her emails falls under the term “classified” then she is guilty of a felony. Concealing the government’s documents from the government when you work for the government, is a felony. If even one email shows up somewhere that she failed to turn over to the government, again, she is guilty. She may be guilty anyway, just because she kept them on her own private server and not in the possession of the government.

So, if it appears as though she broke the law, do you think she would be prosecuted? I would bet not. I would say that this administration would protect one of their own and decline to prosecute her even if she was clearly guilty as sin. The Obama administration plays pretty fast and loose when it comes to which laws they comply with and which ones they ignore anyway, but the democrat party would never prosecute one of their own. Especially one that was being touted as their candidate for president. She would get a pass, which is exactly what she expects. That was clear by her attitude at her press conference.

After everything she said, in the end we only have her word that she turned over all of the emails, didn’t delete anything she shouldn’t have and all the rest. She doesn’t want any further investigation. She wants to provide her “explanation” and have that be enough to satisfy everyone. She want’s us all to say, “OK, we believe everything you said. Case closed. Sorry we brought it up. Hope we didn’t “inconvenience” you.”

Does anyone on the planet believe that her word alone is good enough? Would anyone take the word of any other politician alone and be satisfied with it? Should she simply get a pass if she broke the law? I don’t think so.

In my opinion, there is only one good reason that she set up this private server and her private email account to conduct government business with and that was to intentionally keep the emails under her control and not the government. She could then keep or delete anything that she wanted without any other prying eyes. No other government official would be able to have any oversight on her communications. If the occasion arose that there was a problem with anything she did while in office, any incriminating emails could be mysteriously lost.

My, that IS “convenient”.

Obama: An Idiot or a Liar?

Is Obama an idiot or a liar? He’s clearly one or the other, if not both. He made the statement that he only learned of his former secretary of state using her personal email, and not a secure government email account, for all government business during her tenure when he heard about it in news reports.

For him to make this statement is preposterous. It’s hard to believe that he could be so stupid as to utter it. First of all, for it to be true, he couldn’t have communicated with his own secretary of state via email EVER. Really Mr. President? You never communicated with your secretary of state at all via email? You want us to believe that lie?

Obviously, he did send and receive emails from her and he definitely saw that it was a personal email account and not a secure government account.

After he uttered this lie and several Obama administration members attempted to corroborate the lie, an official white house spokesperson quickly stated that obviously, he did communicate with his secretary of state and he DID know about the personal email account, proving that Obama lied.

So, his secretary of state made the decision to use a non-secure personal email account for sensitive government business. An email account that lacks the security against hacks and intrusions that an official government account on government protected servers has. This was an extremely poor decision on her part. One that I question for a person in a high position of power. And she’s running for president?

They have now admitted that Obama obviously knew about it and he did nothing about it. Didn’t even question it. How much does this say about his awareness and decision making capability? What does it say about his attitude about being honest and truthful? How does it speak to his character that he would have such a low opinion of the American public that he could blatantly speak such a preposterous lie and really expect them to believe it? It’s insulting. It’s shameful. It’s a disgrace.

The facts are these:

Obama did know about Hillary using a personal email account and eagerly responded with a bald faced lie when asked about it.

The lie was so blatantly stupid to the point of idiocy to even say it and it was an insult to the intelligence of everyone listening.

It is my considered opinion that our illustrious president is both an idiot AND a liar.

Mall of America Opens Themselves To Terrorist Attack

I haven’t been speaking out for a while but lately I’ve been seeing things that have been getting my ire up so I just have to write about them.

One of the things in the news today just amazes me as to how illogical it is. I saw that the radical Muslim terrorists have threatened to attack malls in the U.S. including the Mall of America. They obviously consider any large gathering of innocent people to be prime targets for their despicable criminal acts and a wonderful opportunity for them to commit murder.

Hearing this news, I guess the people that run the Mall of America decided to take action. What did they do to prevent attacks on the mall? They issued an immediate ban on all guns from the premises and posted signs at the entrances stating it. Huh??? Do they actually think this will have any effect on a terrorist attack in any way?

It makes me wonder what is going on in their minds. Do they think that the terrorists will plan their attack, drive to the mall, jump out with all their AK-47s and then be somehow dissuaded from entering by seeing the sign? Can any sane person see that happening? Picture it: a group of heavily armed terrorists jump out of a vehicle and head for the entrance to the mall and they see the sign and go, oh darn, we can’t go in with our guns. I guess we’ll have to go home. And they walk away all dejected, get in their vehicle and leave… Really? Can you see that happening?

What they actually did by banning guns and posting the signs is to disarm legal gun owners and legal carry permit holders carrying a firearm, from entering their facility. They banned people that could possibly thwart a terrorist attack from being in a position to do so.

They may as well have posted signs that say: “Attention terrorists! We have banned all legal guns from the premises and in doing so, welcome you to attack us. We have removed all deterrent or opposition to you thereby creating a perfect killing field for you. Come on in!” This would be much more accurate.

Instead, they choose to give the ILLUSION of security for people coming to their mall, when in fact, they have reduced security and made it much more open to attack. If they actually think that a SIGN will make them any safer from terrorists, they’re living in fantasy-land. It’s purely ludicrous to think it will have any effect whatsoever.

When will people realize that banning guns is not the answer? The “bad guys” that want to do harm will not pay any attention to a law, a rule or a ban! They break the law for a living! Hello!!! What makes you think they will all of a sudden decide to abide by a law banning guns?

There’s one thing that I know for sure. I will not patronize any business that bans guns from the premises. Even if I’m not carrying. I WILL NOT ENTER A BUSINESS THAT BANS GUNS. I will make it a point to refuse to spend my money there. Period.

And I encourage everyone to do the same.

Another Fine Example of the Hypocrisy of the Left

It never ceases to amaze me how many people there are in government that have the attitude that they can do whatever they want and that laws only apply to everyone else. They claim to know better what is good for the “people”, the people meaning “everyone else”, and then they do the exact thing that they wish to deny to the masses. They think they are kings and everyone else are mere subjects.

Here’s a prime example. Illinois (yes, Illinois, arguably the most corrupt state in the union...) state senator, Don Trotter, a democrat running for the vacated U.S. Senate seat recently vacated by Jesse Jackson Jr. (himself under federal investigation), was taken into custody for trying to board an aircraft with a gun.

Now, this guy is a left wing democrat and an advocate of gun control. He voted “no” on a law that would allow other Illinois citizens to carry a concealed weapon. He would deny the right to everyone else, but he feels that he should have the right. He also obviously feels he shouldn’t have to comply with the law that says you have to register your firearm since the gun he got caught with was unregistered. As a leader, shouldn’t he be practicing what he preaches? Shouldn’t he be leading by example? Shouldn’t he be obeying the very laws that he helps enact?

He of course gave the standard statement when he got caught, “I didn’t know it was there.” Uh huh, right. So basically what he’s saying is he’s an irresponsible moron that doesn’t even know where his gun is. I don't know what his excuse was for not registering the gun as the law requires. Maybe he as a lawmaker doesn't know the law?

He stated afterward that this wouldn’t have any effect on his bid for office. He would still continue his efforts to be elected to the U.S. senate. Obviously, he feels that he’s the right kind of guy to be in government. Being a lawbreaker shouldn’t have any effect on one’s ability to hold high government office and make laws, right?

This is the hypocrisy of the left. They want to make rules for everyone else. They want to control the masses through big government and more laws and rules, but they see it as only to control the inferior peasant class. They, as the ruling class, will be exempt. After all, they are more important than everyone else.

It’s troubling to me that this is the type of person that is prevalent in government today. What’s even more troubling though, is that we keep electing them.

Establishment Republicans

Well, here’s a pretty good example of how Ron Paul and his supporters are regarded by the Establishment Republicans and their handlers. They’re treated as the enemy, pushed around, assaulted and insulted.

A guy named Eddie Dillard was holding a Ron Paul sign near a polling place today in Florida when the Newt Gingrich campaign machine pulled up in a bus and decided to occupy the space where Mr. Dillard was standing. They proceeded to muscle their way in front of him trying to block him and his sign, intentionally stomping on his foot, knocked his cell phone out of his hand and kicked his sandal away from him when he was trying to pick it up.

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/everyone-step-toes-gingrich-security-harasses-ron-paul-165042767.html

Now this sounds more like behavior you would hear about on a school yard with the class bully picking on the weak kid, not adults in a political campaign. Then again, I guess the Gingrich crew seems to be of that mentality.

I don’t know about you but this story and this kind of behavior by a major candidate for the office of President of the United States is disgusting. It infuriated me that they would treat someone like this simply because he was holding a sign for the candidate he supports.

These two guys, Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney are just status quo, “Establishment Republicans”. They aren’t going to change anything. If either one gets into office, things aren’t really going to change that much. Oh, we may get some of the catastrophic programs of the Obama disaster repealed, but they aren’t going to do what really needs to be done to save our country from the economic cataclysm that we’re headed for. They’ll still keep growing government and be totally unable to reduce the national debt because they don’t have what it takes to make the hard choices.

It’s most likely going to be Romney, which isn’t going to be much of a change. He’s just “Obama light”, but he seems to be the one that the main stream Republicans have chosen as their guy. Pretty pitiful if you ask me. As horrendous as Obama is, the best the Republican Party can come up with is Mitt and Newt?

People, we are in deep trouble...

Sooner or later, people are going to realize that a lot of what Ron Paul has to say about what we need to do to bring this country back to what it’s supposed to be, is correct. The problem is, they won’t realize it until it’s too late. Our economy and our country will be crashing and burning.

You won’t see much about this story in the news. The media won’t bother covering a major political candidate assaulting someone on the campaign trail because he was a Ron Paul supporter. If he was an Obama supporter and Newt’s bullies treated him that way, that would be plastered all over the front page of every newspaper and the lead story on every left wing media outlet in existence. You can bet on that.

For me, it shows me what this guy is all about. He and his traveling band of thugs. Newt had to resign from congress in disgrace not that long ago. He thinks that people won’t remember that. He thinks that enough time has passed that people will have forgotten. He may be right about that, but he can’t change his nature. He’s still disgraceful.

The TSA Strikes Again

Well, it seems the TSA is up to it’s usual standards. The reports of the goings on in the world of the illustrious airport safety patrol seems to know no bounds. The absurdity just keeps getting worse and worse. TSA agents strip searching little children, groping people’s genitals... What a pleasure it is to fly nowadays, huh?

Now we have reports of them strip searching an 85 year old woman in a wheelchair. Another 88 year old woman claims they strip searched her as well. She was wearing a colostomy bag and they wanted to make sure there were no weapons of mass destruction in there I guess. These cases are tragic. They submit these poor elderly people to humiliation and embarrassment by invading their most intimate privacy and then say they’re just doing their job. Seriously? Is your job as a TSA agent to be an idiot? Well, in that case, you’re doing a wonderful job.

But here’s a case that’s so idiotic it’s laughable. We have a teenage girl that was detained by the TSA because she had the design of an old western six shooter on her purse. Not an actual gun, only an image of a gun.

She was told by the TSA that she was committing a federal offense and she would have to check the purse or surrender it. They detained her so long that she missed her flight and then they stuck her on a plane to Orlando, which probably didn’t make her mother very happy since she was waiting for her at the Jacksonville airport.

If you want to read the story for yourself, here is the link: http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/florida-teen-detained-tsa-design-her-purse-221835034.html

Now, is there anyone on the planet who would really think that a design on the outside of a purse could actually be a threat to anyone? I mean in any situation that the human mind can conceive, could the image of a gun ever be a used to threaten anyone or anything? The whole idea is so absurd, it’s inconceivable that anyone with half a brain would even consider it. Then the TSA strikes again...

Would you feel threatened if someone tried to rob you with a picture of a gun? Doesn’t it sound ridiculous to even ask such stupid questions or imagine such scenarios? Of course it does, but not to the TSA. They take their job so seriously that they won’t let even an image of a weapon on board an airplane. Just in case, you know... They will use their formidable power of intimidation to protect us all from the supreme danger of... pictures...

Wow, I feel safer already, don’t you? Doesn’t it just make you want to... drive?

Idiocy Knows No Bounds

Oh, this is just too ridiculous to ignore. Just when I thought the United States government had the market cornered on idiocy, the EU comes out with a monumentally stupid law. They have actually banned producers of bottled water from making the claim that drinking water can help avoid dehydration.

After a three year investigation no less, a group of completely brain dead fools found no evidence to prove such a claim. Now, this begs the question, what idiot or group of idiots decided we needed research into whether water can prevent dehydration in the first place, but somewhere along the line, somebody decided we did. Then this group of rocket scientists took 3 years studying whether water is wet??? Well, DUH...

What planet are these people from? Because, us earthlings pretty much figured out quite some time ago that drinking water is a good way to hydrate the body. That’s why we drink it. I wouldn’t have thought there were any people on the planet that weren’t well aware of that fact, but low and behold, they paraded themselves right out into plain site and declared themselves complete and utter imbeciles for all to see.

In the article, it stated that previous nonsensical laws having to do with bent bananas and curvy cucumbers were scrapped in 2008 because it caused international ridicule. Uh, ya’ think??? Hey fellas, I got a news flash for you, YOU AIN’T SEEN NOTHIN’ YET!!! "International ridicule"? You'll achieve a new level of fame for absurdity. Somewhere on a planet lightyears from here, one alien is nudging his friend saying, “Hey, look at these knuckleheads” while he laughs his alien ass off. I’ve seen stupidity before but you guys take the prize.

I’ve always thought that the whole concept of bottled water is a little dumb and a big part of society is not too bright by paying for something that is widely available virtually free out of any tap, but it took government officials to reach for a new level of idiocy and they have certainly achieved it. Way to go morons.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/eu/8897662/EU-bans-claim-that-water-can-prevent-dehydration.html

The Democrats Will NEVER Get It

This morning I read that John Kerry is now blaming the Tea Party for the S&P downgrade of America’s credit rating from AAA to AA+. Senator Kerry, you are an idiot, pure and simple. You don’t have a clue and even with all your considerable wealth, you couldn’t BUY a clue. It’s not about taxes. IT’S ABOUT THE SPENDING!!! HELLO!!!

The Democrats continue to display, for all to see, what they are truly all about. They want to increase your taxes. They want to take more and more of your money. They want to continue to increase the size and scope of the federal government until it controls everyone and everything. They want the federal government to be a major controlling force in our daily lives. They are truly trying to change our form of government from a Republic to Socialism and if they had their way, Communism.

I read an article a while back about the gradual shift of our political parties in this country to the left. It has been a gradual thing over the last 50 years or so but has accelerated substantially over about the last 15. In the article, it said that if John F. Kennedy were running for office today, he would be way too far right to even be considered for the Democratic ticket. He wouldn’t fit in with today’s Democrats. That’s because they have shifted so far left that most of them are clearly Socialists, including our President and they want to impose Socialist ideology and policy on our country.

One of the problems that caused the present mess we are in is that the Republicans also shifted left. They became more centrist and began adopting some of the Democrat’s policies of big government and uncontrolled spending. Under the second term of the Bush administration, they let the deficit spending get out of hand. That started us on the road to ruin that the Democrats, lead by Obama, have accelerated. The Tea Party movement isn’t controlling the Republican party as Sen. Kerry would have you believe through his caustic accusations, they are simply trying to steer them back toward sanity.

The lefties want to demonize the Tea Party. They want to brand them as evil. That’s because, to the extreme left, or Socialist sect of the Democrats, they ARE evil. The Tea Party stands for freedom. They want less government, lower government spending, more government accountability and a prosperous America. They want to stop our march toward Socialism and steer America back toward the being the bastion of freedom that it has always been. They want America to be strong and the “power” to be in the hands of the people and NOT in the hands of the government “power elite”. Everything the Tea Party stands for is evil in the eyes of a Socialist.

The differences of our political parties in this country has never been clearer. The Democrats clearly want more and bigger government and even though they promised that their policies wouldn’t lead to higher taxes, they are now blatantly arguing for just that. They are admitting that they lied to you and now they want big tax increases to pay for their big spending.
They just don’t get it and they never will. Socialism and freedom don’t go together. You can either have a free society or you can have Socialism, but you can’t have both. Yet, they blindly try to tax and spend our way to prosperity. They will never admit that these policies don’t work. If they did, we would be seeing improvement in our economy by now. Instead, we are seeing our country spiral further down into economic oblivion and they continue to blame others for their failed policies. The simple fact is that the present deficit spending and gargantuan national debt is a direct result of the Democrat ideology.

The only way to fix America is to remove the Democrats from power. Their ideology does not fit with a free America. Remember that come election time.

Left Wing Media Displays Their Hatred

Oh, how the left is terrified of the tea party. They absolutely HATE the tea party and anyone who would advocate more freedom in America. They HATE the thought of closer adherence to the Constitution of the United States. They HATE the idea of a smaller, less powerful federal government. These tenets are contrary to their ideas of a bigger federal government with more central control and higher taxes. They see the tea party as a huge roadblock on their march to socialism and eventually communism.

Just listen to them in this video as they display their vehemence and hatred, referring to members of the tea party movement as zombies, addicts, cannibals, vampires, aliens, delusional and psychotic. Their so called “expert” spews his drivel about the tea party, saying that they will turn eventually turn violent.

Just listen to the left wing’s pathetic attempt to discredit and insult the growing number of people in this country that are fed up with our dysfunctional government and that want to save America from the left’s ongoing attempts to destroy it.

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Pretty disgusting isn’t it?

They STILL Don't Get It

With all the hoopla over the budget crisis and government shutdowns and no social security checks going out and all the other blather about what’s going to happen if they don’t raise the debt ceiling, the dimwits in congress still don’t get it. They can’t understand the simple fact that they can’t keep spending more than they take in.

Are they all a bunch of IDIOTS? Are they all really that STUPID? I’m really beginning to think so.

They’re in the process of passing a “deal” that will raise the debt ceiling and “cut” spending. They’re touting the fact that they are cutting spending by billions of dollars. NO THEY’RE NOT! What they are REALLY doing is just increasing the deficit less. They are simply saying they won’t spend as much as they originally said. BIG WOW! They should really be proud of themselves, huh? What an amazing accomplishment.

That would be like me saying that even though I’ll only make $50,000 this year, I’m going to spend $200,000. Oh wait, I can’t spend that much??? Oh, well then, I’ll work real hard and find a way to “cut” spending. WOW, SUCCESS!!! I found a way to only spend $150,000!!! I “cut” spending by $50,000. Aren’t you proud of me? What a wonderful person I am. I should be elected to congress!

Never mind that I’m still going in the hole by $100,000. Oh no, don’t even look at that. That’s no big deal. I CUT SPENDING BY $50,000! THAT’S the important part.

This is how the people in Washington think. Now do you understand why I call them stupid idiot morons? They’re a disgrace. Every damn one of them that voted for this pile of crap spending bill.

And what’s the deal with this new “super committee” of 12 lawmakers that is created by this “deal”? Rumor has it that they will be granted unprecedented new powers to fast track legislation. Just what “powers” will they have? Can they enact law without the approval of a majority of congress? Is this a way to circumvent the normal process of our government according to the Constitution of the United States?

WHAT EXACTLY IS GOING ON HERE???

We have been seeing our freedoms in this country slowly, insidiously being taken away for years now. Is this another giant leap forward toward changing our system into some sort of totalitarian mutation of what it once was? Are the “powers that be” slipping through a power grab, taking away the power from the people and giving it to the inner elite of the ruling class?

We, the people of this country, need to wake up and start keeping a very close eye on these clowns, before we end up with no freedom at all.

A friend of mine sent me a link to this video in an email and I was quite surprised at what I saw. I don't know about you, but I always thought that when I typed a query into a search engine like Google, I would get results simply from what I searched for. Well, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Imagine my surprise when I found out that websites are filtering search results and links displayed by who I am, where I am and what my views might happen to be. In other words, the results are tailored or skewed to suit the person doing the search.

Take a few minutes and watch this video:

So much for the pure, unhindered flow of information, huh?

You might think that this is no big deal at first, but think about it. Who is going to decide what results we see? Who is going to control the flow of information? Does it maybe make you think of the movie 1984 and "big brother is watching"? Are we going to be "spoon fed" only the information that somebody decides is okay for us to see?

What makes this a little more scary is the fact that they are doing this and nobody really realizes it because they don't know what they aren't being allowed to see. I don't mean to be overly paranoid except for the fact that there are people in our present administration who have openly stated their desire to control the flow of information in society.

Just a little FYI for you all out there...

Obama, How Low Can You Go?

So, we avoided a government shutdown. Whew, that was close... How would we have survived without our wonderful government running at it’s usual efficient and essential manner? We narrowly avoided complete disaster... Ya, right. That’s how our wonderful media is portraying this whole government circus show that we just witnessed.

CHANGE??? Did Obama say CHANGE??? Has he changed how Washington works in the slightest? One little iota of change. NOT ONE BIT. As a matter of fact, he has embraced the Washington credo of politics first and everything else second. He is the epitome of the Washington political machine. First priority of any politician? Whatever is best for the politician and his party. Nothing else matters. Has there been a president in modern history that has been such a letdown from what people expected to what he really is? I don’t think so.

So why am I so upset with our illustrious schemer this time? I’ll tell you why. He disgusts me. During this whole budget fight, he tried to tell everyone that he wasn’t involved in such mundane matters and all the while he was manipulating and using his political power to influence the outcome to his liking. He then proved that there is no limit to how low he will go to get what he wants. No bargaining chip is off the table. He will use anything or anyone at his disposal.

He made it clear that he would shut down the government if he didn’t get what he wanted. He said he would use his veto power to block any meaningful spending cuts the Republicans put forth. He would veto any temporary bills to keep things going until they came up with a permanent solution. HE was forcing things toward a shutdown. HE and the democrats in congress were the ones holding their breath until they turn blue or they get their way.

The most disgusting thing he did though was use our fine soldiers, that HE himself has put in harms way, as pawns in his little political game. He said that he would hold their pay if he didn’t get what he wanted. This is totally his decision to be this despicable, totally his choice. He was choosing to hold military pay hostage to get his way.

There is a directive in the OMB that was issued by President Reagan that would provide that military pay would continue without interruption in the event of a government shutdown due to political deadlock in congress. During the last government shutdown that happened during the Clinton administration, our fine soldiers continued to receive their well deserved and hard earned pay. Clinton did the right thing.

But not our illustrious demigod in chief.

It was his choice to overturn the OMB directive and stop the soldiers paychecks. It’s not enough that soldiers are fighting his battles in faraway lands while their families are trying to make ends meet on meager military wages here at home, his highness decides to hold up their pay. Nothing like adding insult to injury, eh? Can you go any lower, Obama? Huh?

Thanks for showing us your arrogance. Thanks for showing us how heartless and ruthless you really are. Now we see your true colors. Your real self. Change? Ya, Mr. politician, we see how you change things...

Cronyism Is Alive and Well In the Obama Administration

One of the themes that the left wing crowd always harped on during the Bush administration was their claim that he, his administration and Republicans in general were in cahoots with big business. "Big business" being synonymous in their minds with evil corporations who were all out to screw the general public in their constant quest for money at all costs. They cried out about "cronyism" and the "good ol' boy" network, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah…

Well, lets take a close look at the "cronyism" in the Obama administration.

First we have Obama appointing the CEO of one of the largest corporations in the world to a post in his administration, "chairman of the Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, a newly named panel that Mr. Obama is creating by executive order", replacing Paul Volker.

So why Jeff Immelt? Could it be because of his business acumen and fine record of performance at GE? Not hardly. Immelt was voted one of the five worst CEO's in 2008 and GE stock has dropped by 60% since he took the helm.

Gee, I wonder if there could be another reason. How much did Immelt contribute to the Obama presidential campaign anyway? I wonder. It's no secret that Immelt is close to Obama and has broad support for him and his administration. Is this just the "good ol' boy" network being employed here?

Then we have the story about how the EPA has declared, with the full support of Obama, complete control over that deadly gas carbon dioxide, also known as CO2 (you know, that awful stuff we exhale and plants consume) and other greenhouse gases and labeled them as toxic. This will give them broad control over businesses, dictating their emission levels and of course that means that the EPA also has the authority to issue exemptions whenever it so desires.

The story hit the airwaves that none other than GE got an exemption from the new EPA regulations. In fact, a power plant project in California is the direct recipient of the exemption that will be fueled by natural gas. GE of course denied that they got the exemption because they aren't building the plant, they only are possibly going to supply key equipment such as turbines and generators.

So, does this strategic exemption, given to the power plant, pave the way for the use of the turbines, generators, etc. from GE to be used, that maybe otherwise wouldn't pass the new EPA regulations?

GE can deny it got a favor and Obama can deny he paid a favor to one of his cronies or gave preferential treatment to one business over another, but if GE equipment goes into that power plant the result is the same. The wheels got greased.

Want another example?

Obama's ambassador to Luxembourg was forced to leave her post after creating a high stress, hostile work environment, breaking state department rules and generally destroying the workability of the U.S. Embassy there. Cynthia Stroum cost U.S. taxpayers dearly according to an audit by the State Department Inspector General who referred to it as "The Horror Report of the Year".

Read the full story here: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/02/03/obamas-ex-ambassador-luxembourg-left-embassy-state-dysfunction-watchdog-finds/

Stroum, who had no apparent qualifications for the job, was coincidentally enough, one of Obama's top 25 fundraisers. She raised over a half million dollars for his campaign and personally gave over $150,000 to democrat candidates. Isn't that interesting. Gee, now we know what an ambassadorship costs. Just pony up some dough and you'll get your payback in the form of a cushy ambassador position somewhere.

The man who ran on the promise that he was going to change the way things are done in Washington seems to have LIED. He is doing just the opposite. He just has a different good ol' boy network of cronies, that's all.

Government Spending - Is There An End In Sight?

Well, what do you know, 66% of voters nationwide favor a proposal to cut the federal payroll by 10% over the next 10 years. That, according to Rasmussen Reports. You think maybe people are starting to wise up to the fact that most federal government employees are overpaid compared to the private sector? According to USA Today, the average federal workers pay and benefits package totaled about $123,049 in 2009, while comparable private sector jobs were about half that.

Well, guess what friends. The Lord of the Left Obama wants to give them all a nice raise. And if you didn't know it, our illustrious leader increased the number of federal employees to the highest level EVER. We've got the most federal employees and a bigger federal government than we have ever had in the history of the nation and they want to make it even bigger.

The pay reduction mentioned above that would put pay rates more in line with private sector levels, would save about $25 Billion a year. But if they do what the big spender wants to do, it will continue to increase every year.

Hey, if you haven't figured it out, more federal employees, being overpaid more and more money = much higher taxes for everybody else. Either that or they'll just keep increasing the deficit to the point where it will totally crash our entire economy. And I don't just mean what we went through in the last couple of years. If they keep going the way they're going, the crash that's coming will be monumental. I'm talking hyper inflation, the dollar worth nothing, economic chaos, totally wrecked economy, totally wrecked country, totally wrecked way of life in America.

The warning signs are there. We're about to lose our AAA credit rating. What does that mean for the United States? You know how when you have your credit card charged up to the max and you're just able to make the minimum payment every month, then you miss one and the credit card company increases your interest rate by an additional 10%? You were teetering on the brink and now the payment just jumped up. Well, that's what's going to happen to all the federal debt. The interest rate is going to go up and more federal dollars will be needed to just pay the interest. Do you think our economy can absorb that?

If the new Republican controlled congress can't get federal spending under control, we are headed for big, big trouble. They have to CUT federal jobs, CUT federal spending, CUT government waste in order to CUT the national debt. Notice I didn't say cut the federal deficit. That's because the only way to cut the national debt is to totally eliminate the budget deficit and start operating government responsibly instead of going in the whole every year. We need to start operating in the black. That's the only way we are going to save America.

A Success Story

I love it when someone gets help that's actually trying to help themselves. This story has been in the news a lot this week but I thought it was such a great story, I'd mention it too. It's the story of the homeless guy who demonstrated his radio voice to a passing driver who videoed him and put it on youtube. Now he's famous and is getting all kinds of offers for work.

What I really like about the story is how it shows how if someone who is totally down and out demonstrates how he really wants to help himself, others respond with the help he needs. The government didn't need to get involved. They didn't need to take someone elses money to give to him. He didn't need a government program or handout. It was just people helping people.

Take a look at the original youtube video that started it all and notice how he tells his story and how he is trying to help himself.

After the video got millions of views in a few days, it became national news and people from all over were offering him work and even a house to live in, including offers for voice-over work from the Cleveland Cavaliers, MTV and the NFL.

If you look at all the videos on youtube, you'll also see some trying to tear him down, pointing out that he has a criminal record. Not surprising since by his own admission, he got involved in drugs and most that are doing drugs end up doing crime to support their habit. But hey, the guy seems like he is legitimately trying to work his way back into society. He deserves a chance.

There's also a controversy now about the guy that originally posted the video. His original vid that is responsible for all of this, actually got removed due to "copywrite" issues. I suspect it's because he worked for the Columbus Dispatch as a videographer so they got hissy about him posting a video without them getting credit, but I don't know for sure.

I don't care what the naysayers blather about, this is a huge success story in my book. I hope he keeps himself on the straight and narrow and has a long and successful career.

When Will This END???

Care to read about more abuse by the TSA?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/cifamerica/2010/dec/29/air-transport-terrorism?x=1

I don't care what anybody says, this is a violation of the Constitution, plain and simple.

Wake up people!

More ABUSE by the TSA

I just can't get over this. I keep seeing these violations of human dignity not to mention the constitution and it's going on every single day. I don't know about you, but this makes my blood boil. Take a look at this and if it doesn't make you angry, there's something wrong with you.

http://www.prisonplanet.com/mother-kept-in-glass-cage-for-almost-an-hour-by-tsa-for-resisting-over-breast-milk.html

Everybody says, "Oh, don't blame the TSA, it's not their fault. The cop even said they were intentionally harassing her because she had previously brought up the same issue in the past. They didn't learn from their own mistake. They compounded it! The supervisor, at the very least, should be fired and maybe a few of the others as well. These people are disgusting.

There is no way in hell I will ever put up with this kind of crap. It's hard to believe that this kind of gross violation of our rights is going on in America.

Most Americans "Okay" With Trashing the Constitution

According to Rasmussen Reports, most airline passengers are okay with full-body scans and/or extensive pat-downs that they are doing at the airports now.

Interesting. I wonder when it was that most people became indifferent to the government totally ignoring the Constitution of the United States and violating our constitutional rights. Do you know what the 4th amendment to the constitution says? Well, just in case you're one of the "most", here's what it says:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
What that means is that it's unlawful for anyone to search us without "probable cause". That means they have to have a reason to suspect someone and to take action against them. It's why the police can't come and force their way into your home to search it anytime they want. They have to have a warrant. It's also why they can't pull you over in your car for no reason and search your car. Likewise, they can't stop you while you're walking down the street and give you a pat-down just because they want to. These would be unreasonable searches as described in the 4th amendment and totally against the law. Yet they do it in the airport every day! They search anyone or everyone randomly, at their whim, for no reason at all.

But for some unknown reason "most" of the sheeple populating this country now just don't seem to care about the most precious freedoms we're lucky enough to have. We have continually fought and died to get and keep these freedoms throughout the history of this country and now we say, "Oh I don't have a problem with it. I will let them do it if it keeps me safe." They are so uninformed and ignorant as to the very rights they have that are being violated, they meekly submit. Just because the government says so.

To all you sheeple that don't care about the government taking away your constitutional rights, you disgust me. You don't deserve to live in America.

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin

Buy American? How???

I read on Rasmussen Reports that 41% of the American public say that "buying American" is a top factor when purchasing a new car.

Well, let's just see what our choices are to "buy American" cars. I guess there's Ford. I think they're still an American car company. And then there's uh…Chrysler… No, wait a minute, they're owned by Fiat. They don't qualify as an American company anymore so they would be out.

And then there's GM, otherwise known as Government Motors. I guess technically they would still qualify as an American company since they are owned by the federal government, although foreign countries, including China, are buying big stakes in the company since they had their IPO last week.

Personally, I won't buy from them anymore. I guess being one of the stockholders that got left out in the cold and royally screwed over by them when the government bailed them out sort of left a bad taste in my mouth but I just can't see myself giving them one more dime of my money, so for me, they would be out.

Hmmmm… "Buying American" would give me a choice of Ford and um… Ford. Some choice, eh? I might be buying a Honda or Toyota for the first time in my life when it comes time for a new car.

I've always tried to buy American whenever I could but it's getting harder and harder to do. America has been and continues to lose it's manufacturing capability. Do you remember when America lead the world in manufacturing? It seems like I remember things being pretty good then. We had a thriving economy didn't we? Hey, I wonder if that could be part of the reason why our economy sucks so bad now. Ya think?

I'm Back

Well, after a long hiatus from blogging, I decided to start ranting again. There's just too much to talk about and rail against for me to keep quiet! I wrote a small post for another website and thought I would put it here also. I'm so upset about what's going on in our airports in the name of security, I just couldn't keep quiet about it. Something's got to be done to stop the insanity. Read on and see if you agree.

The TSA practices have been coming to light in the news lately and I can't believe what I'm seeing. There are all sorts of stories of people being humiliated by these idiots. Since when is being treated like a criminal a condition of getting on an airplane? The present state of "security" procedures in our airports is absolutely ridiculous. I just recently found out (since the rescinded it) that pilots were subject to the same ludicrous procedures. Are you kidding me? The PILOTS? What quintessential moron thought of that one? What utter idiocy!

I can't believe that people are putting up with this garbage. As soon as I heard about these invasive procedures being implemented, I quit flying. I only flew for vacations anyway so I can afford to tell the airlines to shove it and drive wherever I want to go. I realize that everyone can't do that but if a large number of people quit flying in protest, how long do you think it would take to get these ridiculous procedures stopped? If the airlines start losing money, they will scream bloody murder and believe me, something will change.

The really stupid thing about these procedures is, they do not work. Do you know why they came up with the naked body imagers and groping and fondling? It was in response to the underwear bomber. Think about that. In response. In other words, it's a reactive response and reactive responses are always one step behind the terrorists. While the TSA is humiliating law abiding citizens and fondling children, the terrorists are laughing at us and have already come up with the next way to beat the security we have in place. So the terrorists will have bombers shove a bomb inside a body cavity and when they get caught or manage to explode one, can you imagine the "reactive response" the TSA will come up with? Where does it end? How much is too much?

I want to know when we will stop playing games and start taking it seriously in this country. We need to stop concentrating on being politically correct and concentrate on what works. It's time that we remove the pervert patrol from the airports and replace them with real security people. We need security that tracks and targets the terrorists and stop wasting time fool around trying to find their toys. The only way to stop the terrorists is to do just that, stop the terrorists themselves. I know it can be done and it's a lot more effective than what they are doing now. For some reason though, some warped mentality in this country says we have to be "random" and not target anybody. Somebodies idiotic, illogical thinking says we have to treat our citizens like criminals, routinely humiliate people and terrorize children in the name of security. Well, I'm not buying it.

Quit flying people. Cancel your reservations, cancel your vacation if you have to but send the message that you won't put up with this kind of demeaning, belittling, abusive treatment being dished out by a government on steroids that is in fact only giving you the illusion of security. It's up to the people to act. That's the only way to bring sanity back to our airports. Tell them enough is too much before it gets worse.

Obama - You're a Damn Liar

I heard a sound bite of an Obama speech today where he said something about why he became a democrat rather than a republican. He said it was because democrats look out for everybody. Democrats are neighborly and help one another and republicans just leave everyone on their own. The general idea is that democrats are nice and republicans are not.

Is this guy for real? What a hypocrite! Obama, YOU LIE! This is a classic demonstration of how politicians lie and distort truth. He stands up there with a big smile on his face and arrogantly says he is better and his party is better because they are looking out for everybody and they're so nice.

What is it called when someone smiles to your face and then stabs you in the back as soon as you turn around?

Do you want to know how nice they are? They are going to force you and everybody to buy health insurance or they are going to fine you. They are going to take your money if you don't do what they say. If you don't pay the money, they'll throw you in jail.

THAT'S how NICE the democrat party is. YOU WILL DO WHAT WE SAY. WE ARE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. WE ARE IN CONTROL. But we're nice. We look out for everybody. Except of course if you don't want or can't afford to buy what we tell you to buy, then we'll take your money or throw you in jail. Aren't we nice?

In truth, democrats believe that the federal government should be in control and the people should do whatever they say.

Republicans believe that the people should be in control and the government should do what the people say.

Democrats believe that government should be huge and powerful and will be paid for by higher taxes on the people.

Republicans believe that government should be small and people shouldn't have to pay high taxes to support a bloated federal government.

Democrats believe that the government should run everything, control everything and have control over how you live your life.

Republicans believe that people should be able to live their lives how they want without government interference.

Democrats believe in controlling people's lives.

Republicans believe in freedom.

So, who do you think is NICE?

What's REALLY Going On?

Well, this seems to be another monumental weekend in the world of government and politics. We are going to see if we are going to continue farther down the road to communism or if we can stop the insidious slide away from what our country is supposed to be about, personal choice and freedom.

Now, if you think that's a ridiculous statement, let's take a close look at what's going on in government this weekend.

Congress, or I should say, the progressives or socialist left in congress, are trying to ram through, any way they can, by hook or by crook, a "healthcare" bill. Now, you would think that the issue is healthcare, right? But, that's not the REAL issue.

Sure, it's a bill about healthcare, but it's not just fixing a few problems with our system, which is what it SHOULD be. It's a radical and total, sweeping change to our system and I'm not just referring to the healthcare system. It has far greater implications.

The people in power will tell you that this is about helping people. It's about getting people healthcare that don't have it. It's about fixing a system that's totally broken and doesn't work. That's the reason we have to totally change it, right?

So, do you really think that our healthcare system is SO bad, SO broken and dysfunctional that we need to totally transform it into something else? I mean, for a majority of Americans, they have pretty good health insurance. I do, and I'm just an average guy with an average job. The main thing we need to fix in our system is to help the small percentage of the population that need or even want health insurance and can't get it.

So ask yourself why we would have to totally and radically transform our system just to be able to help a small number of people. Can you answer that question? Why, instead, don't we just concentrate on the uninsured and enact small changes that just help them? That's the real problem, right? Think about that. Why would we need to totally revamp a system that for the most part, works pretty well?

The reason why congress doesn't want to take only the small steps needed to help the uninsured and that they are radically changing our system is that it's all about taking control. It's about government taking power and control over our lives. What better way to grab the most power they can all in one fell swoop but by taking control over 1/6th of our economy?

Want more proof? This is a healthcare bill, right? You know what else is written into this bill? There is a provision in the bill that says the government is taking control of all the student loans in the entire country. If this bill passes, if a student needs a loan to go to college, the only option is to get it from the government. This is government taking total control over another sector of the economy and private industry. Why are student loans written into a healthcare bill? Why are student loans written into a healthcare bill??? What does one have to do with the other? They are totally unrelated.

Are you starting to realize now that the real issue is government control and power? Are you starting to see that the real goal is to expand the size, scope and sphere of influence of the federal government?

America was founded on the tenets of personal freedom. America is supposed to be the country where the PEOPLE have all the power and NOT the government. Americans are supposed to have the MOST personal freedom possible. The democrats are moving us away from this philosophy. They are trying to increase the size, scope and power of themselves, the federal government and this bill is the first major step toward that end.

The democrat party historically has not been this radical left, but it has been taken over by the radical left and they are carrying out their bidding. The people in our government with socialist and communist ideals have taken control and this weekend is a test of their power.

In the last few days, if you have been paying attention, you have seen the wielding of that power and control over the non-socialist members of their party. The president has been having private meetings with members of congress that for whatever reason have opposed his healthcare bill. He even gave Dennis Kucinich a ride in Air Force One, giving him the feeling that he is a close personal friend of the president, one of the elite, a member of the "family", and shortly after that, he changed his vote from no to yes. Just a coincidence?

There are backroom deals going on. Congressmen are being bribed in closed door meetings. They are being promised favors in return for their vote. Support the healthcare bill now and I'll see to it you get that immigration bill you want to pass. You need a little something for your state? No problem, we'll just write it into the bill. It'll make you look good to your constituents. You can tell them you brought home the federal bacon. It'll help you get re-elected.

They are being bought, plain and simple.

And if they can't be bought, they are being threatened. They are being told that if they don't support this bill, the president and the party won't support them when it comes election time. As a matter of fact, the party will endorse a different candidate and force a primary election for their seat, virtually insuring that they won't be re-elected.

This is real Chicago style, strong arm politics going on. This is Mafia style government in action. If you can't sweet talk him, give him the veiled threat. If he doesn’t respond to that, break his legs. Make him an offer he can't refuse.

Is this what our government is supposed to be? Is this what America is supposed to be all about?

They are also being told it's their duty as good democrats to vote the party line. It's for the good of the party. It's for the good of the president and his presidency. It will make him look good and show that he is getting things done. If they don't support the president, he'll look bad. He'll look like a failure.

They are being told a whole host of reasons why they should vote yes on this bill. None of the reasons are the right ones. The right reasons would be that it is the best thing to help the most people and that it will help revive America to a thriving economy. But they can't tell them that because it would be totally untrue.

Make no mistake, the people that vote yes on this bill are either socialist, communist, selling their vote or they are simply gutless wonders that have no convictions, no spine and stand for nothing. They are simply sheep that blindly follow others or bend to the slightest pressure from their peers to do their bidding. They don't deserve to hold a position of power, where they are expected to use their minds to think and reason, where they are expected to and have taken a sacred oath to defend and uphold our constitution. NOT move us down the road to communism.

And if you scoff at my using the terms socialism and communism, I invite you to look up the meaning of those terms. I'm simply speaking plainly. I'm not dancing around the issue to try and be "politically correct". Socialism is the stepping stone to communism and communism is government control of everything. You don't change a system immediately from a free society to communism, you "fundamentally transform" it slowly by taking deliberate steps to take government control of the system. The more the government controls, the more power it has over the individuals in society.

You can start by taking control of a large portion of the economy like healthcare and maybe throw in student loans while you’re at it. Maybe even a car company or two. Throw in a few banks and insurance companies and you're well on your way to total government control of the society.

What do you mean you're young and healthy, fresh out of college, just starting out and you don't feel you need to spend your money on health insurance? Yes you will, because the government says you will. You don't have a choice. You don't have the freedom to make that decision for yourself.

Every bit of control we give up to the federal government moves us closer to communism. That is the end goal of the people that are now in power. That is their stated goal. They have said it. Have you missed it? Are you not paying attention?

Obama has stated in his book that he chooses his friends carefully and surrounds himself with people with socialist and communist ideals. That's not a blind accusation, it's a fact. Read his book if you don't believe me. He has put people in positions of power in his administration that are socialists and communists. Again, not a blind accusation, it’s a fact. Van Jones is a communist by his own admission. He was let go from the administration only after his radical views were made public but there are plenty of others still working in his administration.

These people want government control of everything and they don't care what it takes for them to get it. If they can't get the votes to pass this "first step" bill, then they will cheat. For them, the ends justify the means. They will use an obscure procedure in the house whereby they pass a RULE on the bill, not the bill itself, and then DEEM the bill itself to have passed. And it will never even have been voted on.

That is clearly NOT the process a bill is supposed to go through to become law. It's NOT the way our government is supposed to work.

In the senate, they intend to use another obscure rule to sneak the bill through without the 60 vote clear majority required to pass bills of this magnitude. It's called reconciliation and it's a way to bypass the 60 vote requirement and pass a bill with only 51 votes.

Again, this is not the way our government is supposed to work.

But the progressives/socialists don't care if they have to cheat. They have no respect for the rule of law. They have no respect for the American way of life. They have no respect for freedom. They want to "transform America" into something else. They want to make it into their utopian vision of what THEIR ideology is which is communism. Government control. The ends justify the means.

They are paying no attention to what the American people want because they don't care. All the polls show that a majority of the people DO NOT want this bill, but they continue their fanatical efforts to ram it through using any means available to them.

They continue to try and sell it to the American people by standing up and making speeches that are outright lies. They do not care if they have to lie, cheat or steal to get what THEY want. Obama said in a speech yesterday that as soon as this bill passes, people with pre-existing conditions will be able to buy insurance.

That's an outright, bald faced lie. It doesn't take effect for 4 years.

They tell you that it will reduce the deficit and save money. Not only is that an outright lie, it's ludicrous. There is no way that a bill that will supposedly insure thousands more people will cost less than what is spent on healthcare now. That's like saying, "Hey, go buy more stuff, you'll have more money if you do."

They made a big thing about the CBO saying that it will save money. You know why? Because they are cheating here also. They didn't tell the truth to the CBO about the spending in the bill. For instance, they changed the figures on paper and told the CBO that Medicare payments to states would end after a certain time period, so the CBO figured that as a savings. In reality, those payments will never stop. Everybody with any sense knows they will never stop.

When the time comes, it will come up for a vote and no congressman is going to vote to let the payments stop or he'll look bad for re-election. So if the CBO figured the TRUE cost, there is no savings. As a matter of fact, this bill will end up and be a monumental spending bill, the likes of which we have never seen before and it will lead to monumental tax increases.

They don't care about that because when it really comes time to pay for this fiasco, they won't be in office anymore and they can blame it on someone else. That's why Obama and his progressives don't care that they're running up the biggest budget deficit in the history of our country. They'll be long gone when it comes time to pay up and taxes have to be increased across the board.

Think about this for a minute. Most of the so called benefits of this bill don't take affect for 4 years, but we have to start paying for it immediately. The CBO is figuring the costs in 10 year increments. Now, at the end of the first 10 years, we will have paid for 10 years but only gotten 6 years of benefits. So, what's going to happen in the second 10 year period? They're not going to stop the benefits for 4 years like the first period, so we'll have to pay a whole lot more in the second 10 year period to get a full 10 years of benefits. That just stands to reason doesn't it?

Do you really think that this bill is what America needs? Really? Well, let me just point out that something like this has already been tried and it didn't work. The state of Massachusetts tried a very similar system a few years ago. They sold it the same way, saying it would save all kinds of money and make healthcare available to all. It would be the answer to their dreams.

Do you know what happened?

Costs have not gone down as promised. As a matter of fact, they have risen.
Insurance premiums have not gone down as promised, they have risen. AND they have risen much higher and faster than in other states. Their program is bankrupting the state, just as the national version will bankrupt the nation. They're going to have to raise taxes to pay for it.

Why do you think that the people of Massachusetts elected Scott Brown, the guy who ran on the premise that he was going to vote against the healthcare bill? Because they KNOW exactly what this bill will result in, that's why. That's why a state that traditionally votes liberal democrat elected a conservative republican to office.

The people of Massachusetts sent a clear message to Washington about what they want for the future of our country. The people in Washington that are in power are totally ignoring them. They are totally ignoring the will of the American people.

Here are some of the latest figures from Rasmussen polls:

71% of voters nationwide say they’re at least somewhat angry about the current policies of the federal government including 46% who are Very Angry

53% Oppose the healthcare bill

57% Predict the Health Care Plan Will Hurt the Economy

55% Say Congress Should Start Over On Health Care

Only 20% Say Most in Congress Will Understand Health Care Plan Before They Vote On It

50% Are Less Likely To Vote For Congress Members Who Supports Health Care Plan

Only 25% Say U.S. Heading In Right Direction, Lowest Since Obama Took Office and Confidence In Economy's Future Is At Lowest Point of Obama's Presidency

Washington is clearly NOT listening. They are ignoring the will of the people and doing what THEY want. So, can you come up with a better explanation of WHY they are doing what they are doing?

Oh by the way, if you don't know this already, under this bill, if you don't have health insurance that is acceptable to the federal government, the IRS is going to fine you. That's right, the IRS is going to be checking on you every month to make sure that you have health insurance that is acceptable to the government and if you don't, they will fine you over $2000 or 2% of your income.

Can you imagine how much they will have to expand the IRS, how many new government employees they will have to hire to be able to check on every American, every month to see if they have health insurance?

Can you imagine how much it's going to cost to pay for all this policing and monitoring?

Do you still think that this bill is going to save money and reduce the deficit like they claim?

Do you really think it's a good idea to give even more power and control over our lives to the IRS????

They are taking away our freedom. What are they going to take next? Just wait and you'll see.

Bret Baier vs Barack Obama

Well, how many of you watched the Bret Baier interview of President Obama? If you did, you got a good dose of politician. Obama does what politicians do best, he talked without saying anything. He should give up basketball and take up dodgeball. I bet he would be very good at it as he did one hell of a job dodging questions.

First, Bret asked him if he favors the democrats using the Slaughter rule to pass the healthcare bill. If you don't know what that is, it's passing the bill without even voting on it by using some obscure procedural rule for something it was never intended for and may even be unconstitutional to use in this situation. Never in the history of the country has a bill with the importance and magnitude of this healthcare bill ever been passed into law by using any other method than the normal voting and getting at least a 60 member majority.

Obama totally dodged the question and launched into a speech about the merits of the bill. He basically just started talking about whatever he wanted and totally ignored the question. When Bret pressed him on the issue, he basically said he's turning his head the other way. He said he's not concerning himself with HOW they pass the bill as long as they pass it, he's leaving that to congress. The ends justify the means when it comes to their agenda.

Bret asked him about the democrats using reconciliation to pass the bill. That's using a different procedural rule that was designed to let simple budget items and other relatively inconsequential legislation be passed by a simple majority of just over half the senate, 51 votes instead of the normal 60 votes. The reason for that rule is that for the more inconsequential bills, you know, the boring stuff, it's hard to get enough senators to take time from their busy 3 day workweek to actually show up to vote so they could even GET a 60 member majority, they figure maybe they could get enough participation to get 51. Bret pointed out that Obama himself has stated in the past that he is against using it.

His reply to using reconciliation and the fact that he has stated his disapproval of it in the past? Again, he dodged the question and didn't want to give a direct answer. He basically stated again that he isn't concerning himself with it. If that's what it takes to get it rammed through, then that's what it takes. In other words, it's ok if HIS side uses it, but he disapproves of it when the republicans try to use it. The ends justify the means.

Bret asked him if the special provisions in the bill are in or out. You know, those bribes that they used to buy votes from their own party members, referred to as the Louisiana Purchase and Nebraska's Cornhusker Kickback and others. He tried to dodge that one as well and wouldn't answer the question. When pressed on each specific, he simply wouldn't answer it and started with the double talk. I don't know if it's that he didn't know the answers or he just didn't want to admit what the answers actually were.

Basically, the whole interview was Bret asking pointed questions and Obama being the consummate politician and not answering them. It was frustrating and maddening for the viewer like me who actually wanted to hear him answer the questions. It was really a disgusting display and a waste of time. All Obama wanted to do was repeat the same talking points and promise it's the answer to all of our problems and we should just trust them.

He was also asked about the claim that they are going to pay for the bill by saving money and eliminating waste in Medicare. He tried his best to sidestep that as well but when pressed on the issue, he couldn't say that it will actually work.

That's because it's smoke and mirrors. If a program is losing a billion dollars and you clean it up and fix it so it's only losing 500 million, that doesn't mean you have 500 million new dollars to spend. It just means you are only going in the hole half as fast. It's not money that can be spent but they are saying they are going to pay for healthcare with it. That's just taking deficit spending from one program and making it deficit spending on another program. Even the CBO says that won't work. If a businessman or corporation tried to cook the books like our federal government routinely does, they would be prosecuted and thrown in jail.

One thing that I found very interesting about this interview was the fact that he did it with Bret Baier on Fox News Channel. This is the channel that they hate, the one they said isn't a real news network, the one that they went out of their way to try and trivialize. Why would they do that? Well, by their own admission, they don't like Fox News but they will use it if it suits them, if they think it will serve their purpose. It was Obama's last stand, his last chance to try and sway the people, a majority of the American people by all the polls, who are against this abomination of a bill and they figured he could tap into the largest audience by going on Fox.

I don't think it worked. He came off as desperate and looked pitiful trying to speechify and say the same old things that we've heard about it and that a majority of Americans consider to be lies.

"It's going to be budget neutral." Right... Does anybody outside of Washington actually believe that bull? Give us a break.

I would have had more respect for him if he would have just answered the questions and told the real truth: It's the first step toward a single payer system, total government run healthcare and we're going to ram it down America's throat whether the people want it or not. We're going to do it because we're smart and everybody else is too dumb to realize what's good for them. We are going to expand the federal government as much as we possibly can and taking over 1/6th of the U.S. economy is the best way to get as much power and control in one fell swoop. Before the stupid public knows what's happening, we, the federal government will have so much control over their lives, they won't even realize that they are moving toward socialism and communism.

They always said they would take over this country from within...

Are We Going the Way of Greece?

I read an article today about the situation in Greece and how their economy is in danger of failing. The Greek Prime Minister, George Papandreou, was here in America to deliver the message that if Greece defaults and goes bankrupt, it will affect the European economy and subsequently, our economy here in America. He wants us to bail them out. Right… and then who’s going to bail us out?

Well, as a matter of fact, I think Obama has already said we are going to bail them out, but that whole issue aside, what really caught my attention was one paragraph in the article:

The crisis began shortly after the election last fall of the new socialist government led by Papandreou. State officials revealed that Greece's budget deficit was at 14 percent of GDP--almost twice what the official Greek government statistics had reported. Two months later, Moody's downgraded Greece's debt to A2, raising the possibility of Greece defaulting on its debt.

Hmmmm…. Isn’t that interesting?

The crisis began shortly after the election last fall of the new socialist government…
Sort of like what’s happening here in our country. Except our socialists call themselves progressives.

Greece's budget deficit was at 14 percent of GDP--almost twice what the official Greek government statistics had reported.
Near as I can tell, we’re not too far behind Greece since our budget deficit is about 10 percent of our GDP. At least, that’s what the government is reporting… Oh, and by the way, it’s going to increase by a huge margin with passage of the healthcare bill and the new jobs/spending bill and whatever other spending the democrats/progressives can come up with.

Two months later, Moody's downgraded Greece's debt to A2, raising the possibility of Greece defaulting on its debt.
Gee, what another coincidence. I just read another article today that said Moody’s is warning that if our government keeps spending money like it is, they may have to downgrade our credit rating:

Moody’s Investor Service, the credit rating agency, will fire a warning shot at the US on Monday, saying that unless the country gets public finances into better shape than the Obama administration projects, there would be “downward pressure” on its triple A credit rating.
Does that information scare you?

It should…

What He Says and What He Does

Did anybody listen to Obama's state of the union address? Maybe I'm wrong, but I seem to remember him doing a lot of talking about jobs. He was saying something about jobs and the economy being his main concern and that was what he was going to concentrate on for 2010. Do you remember that? That's what he said.

So what is he actually doing? Well, it seems that he and his cronies in congress are still trying to ram a healthcare bill down our throat. He had the healthcare summit. You probably saw some of it on TV. You know, that was where all the liars and thieves, er, I mean politicians, gathered in one room and spent the day grandstanding for the TV cameras, each one trying to "one up" the next guy, all trying to make themselves look good. The only real reason for this meeting was for Obama and his crowd to try and make the Republicans look bad, that's it.

Now the Democrats are scheming on how they can muscle a health care bill through without having to have the normal 60 votes in the senate. They are planning on using a thing called reconciliation, which is only supposed to be used to pass budget bills. So basically, they are planning on circumventing the normal democratic process that our government is supposed to function with to force their agenda through without those opposed being able to do anything to stop it. You've heard of the "checks and balances" in our government? Well, the Democrats are throwing those right out the window. And Dingy Harry Reid has the gall to stand up there and swear they aren’t even thinking about doing that. Ya, we believe you Dingy…

Oh, did I happen to mention that this healthcare bill that Obama and the Democrats are so absolutely determined to pass no matter what, isn't even wanted by the majority of Americans? 52% of the American public (that would be a majority) oppose this bill. But guess what, Obama and his liberal left cabal don't give a damn what us regular, everyday folks want, they only care what they want and they're going to try and get their way, no matter what.

Nancy Pelosi made it clear when she told her party members that they should do what needs to be done, what she and Obama wants them to do, no matter if it results in them losing their jobs because the voters don't want it. Of course, the only reason she is saying that is because she is sure that her constituency out there on the left coast will put her right back into office, and they probably will. Personally, I don't how a group of people could collectively be crazy enough to put the likes of her in a position of power, but well... it's California...

Anyway, so Obama says he's going to concentrate on jobs. Has he done anything about creating jobs?
