Here are a few pictures of my work at the Perfect Wedding Guide Show in Daytona Beach August 15, 2010. I was asked by Ginette if I would help out with the hair and make-up. I had such an amazing time working with such beautiful Models. The show was a big hit. But I have to say the best was making new friends, the LIMO ride home and Blue Martini Happy Hour.

What a joy and pleasure it was for me to work with Maritza. Maritza and I went to Cypress Creek High School together about 10 years ago. She happen to run into my Mother and Maritza told me Mother she was going to get married. My mother quickly told her that I could help. This was at the end of April. Maritza called me a few days later and we talked on the phone for a few hours. After we talked we set a date for me to meet here future Husband over dinner and talk about what we wanted to do for the reception. We had a lovely and we had some great ideas for the reception. For the next couple of weeks I came up with some sketches for the flowers and centerpieces. We set up a dinner date to talk them over at BJ's @ the Loop. Maritza loved what I had to show her as well as a great time @ Bj's. I LOVE ME SOME BJ'S :0) From there we then set up a date to go around town and find what we were going to use for the centerpieces and made a day of it. As well as look for her shoes to go with the Dress we found together weeks ago by chance. These are things I love to do with the bride to be. As time went by I got all the little things put together like place cards and table #'s all done by hand. The week of the wedding Maritza and I went to pick up the 500 some odd flowers from the flowers shop on Wednesday around 1pm. I got home and it was time to get to work. I prepped the flowers which took me about 12 hours and I loved every minute. Thursday morning I got up and had my coffee and got started at 9:30 am. It was time to get going. The 1st thing I did was the Bridal Bouquet I picked the most beautiful flowers there were. After the bouquet I moved on the the centerpieces. In total I had to do 12 centerpieces. 1 by 1 I got them done and the more I did them the more beautiful my dinning room table look. I finished friday morning at 2.am. I still had a few things I had to finish before the wedding. So I got up at 9 am to finish the made of honer bouquet, corsages for the mothers, the boutonnieres for the groom, best man and fathers. All the time trying to get a hold of Maritza not knowing that her phone had ran out of battery. Around 2 pm she came by my house to let me know she needed for me to make a through away bouquet. For a split second I was a little scared but after that second went away I got to work and finished it in no time. I have to say I am DAMN good. So it was that time to go to Hunters Creek Country Club to start the set up. Thank you to my Mother, Father, Brother and Sister-in law for their help. With out them I could not have done it. It's so great to have my family as support. Once we got the the Country club it was time to get going. Which I have to say DJ and her staff at the Country Club were nothing short then amazing. Everything went on time on my end, table were set and ready for the reception. My family and I had everything done and we had time to sit and share a coke :0). Once the people began to come in I could hear everyone talking and saying how beautiful everything was, By hearing that it brought me so much joy and happiness. This is something that I love to do and by make others happy make me happy. To many more :0)

Mothers Day 2010

So about one month before Mother's Day came along , I was sitting in my kitchen with my sister-in-law Yania and my brother Danny and all of a sudden it came to me. The theme for this years Mother's Day lunch. As most of my friends know, I love anything and everything that has to do with Asia. I love the people, food, and culture. So I thought this year would be Asian themed. When I said that, it all started to come to me more and more. First, was the menu home made eggs rolls and crab rangoons for the appetizers, next was the Asian salad which I went with mixed greens, mandarin oranges, and crunchy noodles. The dressing was a ginger vinaigrette it was so YUMMY! Next was Egg Drop soup, made a little different then in a restaurant, I added noodles to it and made it very nice and thick. For the main course, I went with home made fried rice, chicken, and salmon teriyaki, but of course, I don't stop there. I then came up with the great idea of each mother being a different color; my mother would be (purple), my grandmother would be (yellow), my brother's mother-in-law would be (orange), and my brother's sister-in-law would be (pink). So that was the very start of something very beautiful and special that would come to be over the next month.

I had such a great time getting ready and hiding everything from my mother or even doing things in front of her. Her not having any idea that what I was doing was for Mother's Day. One sunday afternoon my brother's mother-in-law came over as I had things hanging from the celling and she said to me, "Wow this is so beautiful what is this for?" I then said to her I am bored , it's nothing I am just practicing. I had no idea that she was coming over. But she believed me, which was good but I hate to lie. At the same time, I was hand painting a table that my grandmother had her eye on when she came over one day, she told my mother that she needed one just like it so she could read her bible everyday by her window. I then knew at that moment what I was going to do with it. So I took it to my room and locked the door for the next 2 days. When I was done painting it I called my mother to see it and she loved it. Although it was a table my mother wanted , her and I both know how much my grandmother would love it.

For the next few weeks things just kept falling into place for me with ideas, I don't know where they come from but I am blessed to get them. Please never stop coming. The closer mother's day would come the more excited I was. So here it was the week leading up to mother's day. Wednesday, I went out to start getting the food, Thursday I finished getting everything that I needed for the food. Friday I went and got the flowers, which if you remember from before each mother is a different color and of course it sounds easy. Well guess what, it is not! I went to my favorite store Michael's crafts and I went to get all 4 colors of the ribbon (purple,yellow,orange,pink) and wouldn't you know I spent about 1 hour tying to get matching ribbon and that it was beautiful as well. Sounds so easy but it wasn't. I finally had to get 3 that matched and 1 that looked alike but just a little bit different, to the naked eye it's not something you would notice but I know:0) Then once I had the ribbon GUESS WHAT? I then had to go find the 4 colors in roses. Again not easy. This time, I went to so many different stores. This was much harder then I was expected. Reason is purple is a very hard rose to find, mind you, it's mother's day everyone needs roses. It was killing me that I couldn't find them. I was about to change the concept I had and just use white roses but would you know the last place I went had purple and pink beautiful flowers but no orange or yellow. I went ahead and got the ones that were so hard to find and went back to the other store where yellow and orange was there like crazy. It was a great way to end the day. Now Saturday comes along, I got up at 8am made some coffee and went to it in my room. I wanted to get everything finished and ready for tomorrow. I sat in my room all day with my beautiful and lovely dog Princess Leia watched Nip Tuck season 5 and went to town. It was 9 :30pm when I made sure I was ready for Sunday morning. But before I would go to sleep I pre-made some food so I wouldn't have so much work to do tomorrow morning. Once I was done with the food I started with my many gifts to my mother. Make over from head to toe gift # 1. So I painted her nails and toes with a beautiful red nice and bold color. It was out of her comfort zone but I did tell her it was a make over so she went with it. By the time we went to bed it was 2:30am. Crazy I know like Mother like Son :0)

Sunday morning came and gift #2 was I was going do her make-up as well as her hair. Before I started I made sure I had a big nice warm cup of coffee. I had to be up at 7am that is something I don't do very often but today was a very special day. Again a little bit out of my mothers comfort zone with the make-up but she loved it. Beautiful light earth tones with a shimmer of cranberry and a sexy bold red lip from MAC. Love me some MAC! gift #3 Next was getting her dressed, I must say I do have great taste in clothes. My mother loved her outfit and shoes I got her. When I was done, I looked at her and I was so happy that I made her happy. But of course, there was more to come she just didn't know it yet.

She and my father finally left to got to church at 9am , that means I only had until 1pm to have everything up , cooked and cleaned. I didn't waste anytime. I started moving everything I could out of the dining room, once that was done I put the table together, all I had to do was bring everything down from my room and place it on the table and hang things around. I finished the dining room in 1 hour and it was amazing as you can see. Then it was back to the cooking , and before I knew it my brother Danny and his wife Yania came to help. They loved how the idea we had talked about a month ago came to life. Once we got the call that they were on there way I got so excited. As soon as they got home the 1st thing that they said was how beautiful the dining room looked and they could not believe how amazing everything looked. It brought me so much joy to see them all so very happy. I then sat the mothers' all down at the table and it was time to eat. I made sure to make them feel like the QUEENS that they are. We had such an amazing afternoon with the family altogether and I am truly blessed. I love you and hope you enjoy my work thanks for checking me out :0)

Star birthday cake

Well I have to say this was such an amazing birthday for me this year in so many different ways. 1 would be my birthday cake. I wanted to think out side the box but still give a little bit of me. I designed this cake a few weeks ago. I know black who knew , but everything that I design looks so much better after it comes to life. My cake Boss Ileana Berrios and I got together the day of my birthday that was held at Bj's at the loop. She had spent a few days before and made my delicious chocolate and amaretto cream filling cake. She also had made the fondant in the different colors. I got to her house around 11:30am and got started on rolling out the fondant. It was like playing with play-do. But I could eat it. YUMMY! We had such a great time and I learned so much. Once I had cut out all the stars I started to place them onto the cake. Both Ileana and I would amazed on how beautiful the cake came to life. We were so proud of the work we had done together. I have to say it brought me so much joy. Now I know what it feels like when a Bride gets the cake of her dreams. The cake was such a big hit. We placed the cake at a table next to are table at BJ's and everyone that walked by love it and had to say how beautiful it was. So if anyone that reads this and would like a special cake made for them hit me up and we could me work something out. I hope you enjoy my blog:0)Yram

My birthday invitations

This is my 2nd attempt on making invitations. Of course I put a little more into this because it's my birthday but I know now that I do have the skills that I would need to make any and every invitation for a wedding, birthday, baby shower etc. You can also see my 1st attempt on invitations for my parents Anniversary which took place last June. I have enjoyed making each and everyone one of these invitations. I really hope you like my work and I look forward to bringing something very special to your event. Keep an eye out for and Enchanted Evening at Sunset Park Elementary this coming Feb 19th , 2010. I am going to be doing the decor for the Father and Daughter dance. So very excited and it just so happens to be my birthday!

Birthday Cake

Here is my 1st birthday cake design brought to life by Ileana and Carlos. Wow what a treat this was to learn how to bring a design from paper to the real thing. Sometimes it's easy to look at something and say how beautiful it is and not realize how much time and effort goes in to making something so beautiful. This cake was for my friend Patricia,which I have known her for 17 years now. I wanted to do something very special for her on her birthday. She had a great birthday night planed at Blue Martini in Orlando. Myself,Ileana,and Carlos set up the cake at Blue Martini just before Patricia showed up with all of her friends. As we were setting up everyone who was around the table had to stop and say how beautiful it was. We got a chance to give out business cards and give credit to Ileana and Carlos , my very own" Cake Boss" here in Orlando. Just after setting up , Patricia showed up and loved it! I know she would. Not only was the cake beautiful but the taste was to die for! All in all it was a big success. Thank you to all at Blue Martini in Orlando for being so great to us.

Red and Silver at My Best

So this is the 3rd and final tree at Dwight and Bobby's house for their Christmas party. I have to say this was the most fun to do because Dwight had his brothers and sister-in-law over to put things on the tree. They had an Elvis Christmas CD playing in the background and they all sang along with Elvis. You could feel the Christmas spirit. I worked my magic on top of the tree and we all put any and everything red and silver that they had on the tree. It turned out so beautiful and the Christmas party was a big hit. I am really glad I was able to bring joy into your home for the Holidays.

Elegant Christmas Tree

This was a small but classy tree. I really enjoyed working on this tree for Monique. We went shopping for some new things for the tree this year. We stopped by a few of my favorite stores for silk flowers, fruits, ribbons, and a tree skirt. Monique was with me the whole time to make sure she would sign off on everything I picked out for her beautiful tree. While I worked she made me a few glasses of sweet tea and had Ellen playing on TV. Love that Ellen! Once I had the tree done I worked on a violin that she had and I gave it a make over. She loved both the tree and violin. I was so glad that she did. But when it became night time, Monique and Ginette noticed that with the colored lights on the tree you could not see the details and colors of the flowers. So she picked up some white lights, fishing wire and tacks. I came back a few days later and hung some Christmas balls, with a few ribbons and white lights around the tree. Wow when I was done I felt so good. It turned out beautiful. I would like to wish Monique and her family the very best this Christmas.

My Christmas Tree

So here is were it all began for me this year and I knew I had something going for me. I love purple and went with lime green and silver to complement the purple. I made sure that I was alone at home when no one was around. My family went to church and when they came home the tree was done. My mother has decorations from when my brother Danny and I were little babies. I knew that if she was there she would make me put up all the old decorations, but this year she had no control and I knew if I did the tree without her she would love what I came up with. And she did! Everyone that comes over asks who did you tree and now my mother brags about it. I knew she would love it as well as everyone else that sees it. Angelic Tree

This was a tree that was easy for me to do. Richie, Kayla and their 3 boys already had these beautiful angels with gorgeous gold and blue decorations for their tree. I had my vision with great stuff to work with. I had the boys help me with the tree to make them feel a part of the decorating. They had a blast, but as we went on one by one they started to fall asleep, very cute I must say. When I was finally done Richie and Kayla could not believe what I had done with what they already had. They loved it and were so very happy and thankful for what I had done for them. With that said, I wish you and your beautiful family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2010.

Feeling a lot like Christmas!

Here you will see my fun, over-the-top side as Bobby and Dwight let me go to town with over 3,000 lights on the tree, which after we were done, I turn around and half of the tree was out. Can I say OMG! But Bobby helped me fix the problem which was not such a big deal , thanks to me getting shocked. I loved what Dwight and Bobby picked out for colors. They went with green and silver with a few glass snowmen and peacocks. I had such an amazing time working on their tree. Christmas music was playing at all times which made everything go so well. After I worked on the big green and silver tree, I moved to the smaller 4 foot tree in the hall way. They had these small, very cute Rudolph claymation ornaments that I had to put to use. So I went with blue and silver on the small tree. So cute. I made the topper myself. The last thing I worked on was the bathroom centerpieces in the same color as the small Christmas tree, blue and sliver. I hope you enjoy them Dwight, Bobby, and Isabella.

Festive Christmas Decor!

I have to say this was a fun one for me to be a part of. Carlos and his family just moved into their new place. So what was great is that they had a clean slate. I got together with Carlos and his mom and we looked at what they had. They had the most beautiful colored Christmas stuff already so I was able to build on that. I started on the tree 1st and foremost. I took white lights and I wrapped the trunk of the tree, I then took the multi-colored lights and spiraled them down on the outside of the tree. I then hung cute little disco balls around to top of the tree to create a halo. From then I picked different colors to hang around the tree. Once I finished the tree I moved on the the staircase hanging red and green Christmas balls down the banister. Then I worked on the archways in the living room with a wreath above each one alternating the red and green balls. Once I was done with that I worked on the garland above the Christmas tree and went with the colors of the rainbow to make the tree stand out. The last thing I worked on was a Christmas wreath that the family has had for years and I brought it to life with things that were on it already, so I guess you can say I gave it a make over.

This was my third Christmas tree client, Lori. I got to spend some time with her family and went shopping with Lori and her baby boy Robert. I got a feel for how to pick what to use for the tree along with some traditional things she and her family already had. As you can see from the pictures I went with red and sliver. While I was getting everything ready to start on the tree, I made sure to have the baby Robert help me so he could feel a part of the whole experience. I asked Lori to play Christmas music to make everything feel that much more like Christmas, since Christmas is my favorite time of year.

One of my first clients this season was photographer Ana Cabrera. Her vision was a “Winter Wonderland” theme for the living room. She wanted it light and bright, so it is mostly silver and blue. She already had a lot of traditional ornaments and decor, so the family room is decked out in red and green.
