Interest rates are sitting at lows in the 3-4% range and housing prices are 20-50% off their all-time highs, yet real estate buyers are still on the sidelines. An argument can be made that the economy with upwards of 10% unemployment is the key reason for the slump. Being the optimist, I see the employment (not unemployment) rate at 90% and some great buying oportunities. My question is why do you think the housing market is still so soft? OR is a recovery just around the corner?

Is it time to buy investment properties?

Lately, I have been previewing homes around Ft. Meade and have found a number of potentially good deals. A house that would have sold for 350,000 a few years ago is now foreclosed and listed at 215,000! Garage townhouses that would have sold around 375,000 now foreclosed and offered at 250,000!

With prices down, extremely low interest rates and BRAC adding thousands of jobs to Ft. Meade, there may have never been a better time to start looking.

The rosemary path is a straight cobblestone walkway lined with a low clipped hedge in the traditional French manner, but the path runs downhill rather than on a level, and the hedge, which is tightly clipped rosemary, is planted in a sinuous line that snakes down the slope on either side of the walkway. Gray lavender cotton (Santolina) surrounds the rosemary parterre, making the green curving line more dramatic against the gray. The lavender cotton is planted straight along the walkway, providing a clean-cut, oh-so-French edge to the path. Taller hedges on either side, also perfectly pruned, define this aromatic garden room.....
