The High School laptops were deployed January 23 with Vista Business and Office 2007. The deployment was a success! Vista has been stable and easily integrated to all 275 users. We are setting up to deploy Vista Ultimate site wide in June.

We have not had any “Microsoft” problems in our deployment. The few (about 15) laptops that were brought in with issues were problems that the users had created. Users would hide things and not know how to get them back or adjust settings that would block things they needed. Most of the issues were solved by blasting a fresh image back on the computer using Ghost.

The Office 2007 interface was well received. Although a few users resisted the change, all have adapted well into the new Office platform. Over the summer we will integrate more of the Microsoft communication tools and we are enrolling in the Microsoft Live@edu program. This is going to give us the ability push further in to Live On Demand Learning.
