MASON ELEMENTARY AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS are expanding. This year MES is offering two more after school programs for students: Monday — Book Club Tuesday — Drama Club (the play The Wizard of Oz) Wednesday — Extreme Club (board games and outside activities) Thursday — Lego Club Students pay a small fee to help pay for materials. These programs are well attended. We also continue to offer our Senior Breakfast with grade 1 students being the sponsoring hosts. Finally, we are offering at no cost to the parent and students an online enrichment program by Renzulli Learning Systems that we use in school and can be used at home.
MASON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IS OFF to a great start with their school recycling program. Our juice pouch collection has already exceeded last years’ total! Our paper retriever bin has been overflowing with clean paper thanks to the support of the Mason community. MES students recently participated in a recycled art contest. The masterpieces they created were amazing. Here are the winners (see picture below). Thank you to all of the students who created masterpieces. They were all incredible! Also, MES would like to thank the House by the Side of the Road Convenience Store in Wilton for donating newspapers to our paper retriever bin and to the Mason community for supporting our recycling program. Happy Holidays! Laura Hooper
