They are going to have to change raid roles to

Tank,DPS,Healer, Replener TBH as he basically says you need to take one.

I remember reading that post from the blue and laughing at how dumb that person is to say that healing is too hard. Anyone who thinks end game healing is too lazy to learn how to heal properly. I don't consider healing a faceroll considering that in the only two new PVE raids one makes you switch up healing tactics twice before putting you in a whole new type of healign situation and the other can be made to be so challenging and hectic you have to focus on eight things at once. No, healing is not a snoozer or anything, but it's far from being one of the most challenging aspect of the game right now.

Congratulations! I'm hoping to get this sometime soon, but I haven't checked to see exactly where I stand on it. And you're right, your guild should have congratulated you and been happy that 10 people know tactics, which will help them get it!

The only part I think where Disc. priest suffer in comparison to their more traditional counterparts is that in a situation where a rage based tank (i'm going to include pallies in this too due to the way they regen mana) who marginally overgears or even equally gears an encounter, you can cause rage starvaton problems, as they arent hitting hard enough to make up the difference just yet, of course, you do gain the massive advantage of not being affected by mortal strike and other -healing effects as much.
It's just a matter of asking dps to not act like idiots.

My only issue with Paladins is their stance that they "can't" raid heal (the ones I've run into) - from where I'm sitting both myself and a Paladin a perfectly suited to heal a tank, with our raid healing suffering *slightly* from it, why a Discipline Priest gets moved from Tank Healing to Raid Healing as opposed to the Paladin is beyond me.

My mana efficiency takes just a large knock as theirs, possibly more-so due to almost complete lack of shields being absorbed...

I feel that disc priests are already superior to holy pallys, but that could be tainted by my deep bitterness towards my original class and role. I'm thinking overall, in 5 mans as well as raids. In a raid, holy pallys as tank healers are glorious (and it's all that keeps me sane).

Disc priests could definitely use some tweaks. Hell, so can pallys. It's gotten to the point where I am desperate to get my priest to 80, because if I have to play one more game of frantic whack a mole on my paladin I'm going to stab Blizzard employees. SHOULD disc priests be better than pallys? I don't think so. As a priest, you still have access to a wider variety of tools than a paladin and a better ability to adapt to situations. Count that as part of your strength.

Random aside: I'd be happy if Arenas vanished forever. I share your opinion that PvP, Areanas, and Resil gear really screw with the balance of the game.
