After wearing sneakers literally everyday

for years, I decided, a long time ago,

that they were made for workout.

Shoes offer such a variety of styles, why restricting ourselves

to rubber soles and round toes?

Last time I bought actual sneakers (meaning not wedged,

not fancy-looking-allegedly-sporty-looking) intending

to wear them in the street in lieu of the gym was... ten years ago.

Well, this time I wanted to buy runners and finally ended up

with those that are not really designed to keep you fit,

but who knows, next pair maybe?

A bunch of nails to start again. I've been off the blog for a while because

1) I have a real job (real meaning that makes money which is

more convenient to pay the rent), and that's time-consuming

2) I've been self-judging myself

(yes, it feels as redundant as it reads) for peacocking.

Anyways, hopefully spring will come and bring some good blogging vibes.

I actually considered threatening him with divorce when

I noticed this undecided look on his face.

Thank God, he came back to his senses.

The lady in the department store felt the need to reassure us:

"there are also black shoelaces in the box."

Thanks, but we actually want the orange ones.

Look, even the soles look hot.

To tell you the truth, the box looked hot too.

I don't understand women who don't do their nails.

Unless it's a time issue, since I must confess

these cows were fairly time-consuming.

I think it's been three years I haven't left home with bare nails,

and two years I haven't "just" painted them in only one color.

One more deeply superficial conclusion:

so many possibilities, so easy to feel creative, pretty addictive.

Concretely: two or three manicures a week.

Ankle-strapped heels by Zara.

Long week, lovely treat.

I was not really convinced by the ankle strap trend

that has been running lately.

I tend to be skeptical when literally all fashion writers

on literally all medias start featuring the very same thing.

That was before these heels hit my eyes.

Deep plum hue, suede, perfect height (sigh).

I tried the beauties on and suddenly agreed with them all.

I'm now convinced that Sublime de Chanel - which, for unkown

reasons exists only in black in waterproof -

and Singulier Nuit Blanche by YSL are my

faves of all times when it comes to mascara.

Especially in purple. Nothing like

bright fuchsia though, both are more like vibrant brown.

Damn, I gave in, I surrendered to the Peter Pan

collar trend. I have a problem with little-girl-like-

easy-cute-stuff and have been staring in distrust

at this Peter Pan thing for quite a while.

That is when the waxed jeans and

knuckle ring come in, rescuing me from

the girly threat. Hopefully.

Note that I have nothing special against girly

outfits as long as they do not enter my closet

and dress others. It would just kind of look weird on me.

Every summer I declare I shall not buy cheap shoes

ever again. Never ever ever again.

Anybody who's ever spent a whole day with

uncomfortable heels knows that you end up

covered with bandages, while in pain

and therefore short-tempered.

So this time, fail. Huge fail.

I indulged in 30€ wedges, once more.

At Pimkie. This kind of stores where it could be relevant

to ban entrance to ladies over the age of 25 (19?).

This somewhat ideal wooden sole/black leather straps combo

is actually pretty comfy, so I mean, why not.

Well, because I wore them

three times and I can predict they won't last.

Damn, must be my birthday coming soon/aging process,

but I really tend to think in terms of durability now.

At this time of the year, I could easily buy

a pair of sunglasses a week, although I have

about fifteen pairs I regularly wear.

For those who missed my first round of meditation on

wedged sneakers (surely worth reading here to understand

the rest of this post), I am still totally obsessed

with how effortlessly casual-chic they are.

Plus they are literally effortless since you gain a bunch
of centimeters without even ending up with your feet bleeding
by the end of the day. Continuing on the path of ~~saving money~~
not-spending-money I-don't-have,
I have fallen for copies again.

Shamelessly. The good thing is that

when I look around me - at female stangers' feet -

I am reassured that I am not the only one.

I never thought I could ever buy pink pants.

I tried the yellow ones but it didn't feel right.

I tried the mint ones but it didn't feel any better.

Then I looked at those, which however didn't really

look okay, but this lady who was staring at me

suggested I should try them on.

I did try them on and realized I liked them.

~~Then I looked back and~~ ~~the lady had disappeared~~

~~in the blink of an eye, leaving only fog behind her.~~

Then I looked back and the lady was smiling,

apparently very content with herself,

so I assumed it looked good.

The last snap was taken yesterday,

but I'm so obsessed with my new home-made

bracelets that I think I'm going to wear those everyday

for a while. Thank you Man Repeller for the Arm Party.

New wedges by Zara. I couldn't help photographing them

from all angles. They have these little details - look at this

touch of nude hue on the sole, look at the wedge shape,

look at the square open toe! -

that give this pair a somewhat designer/couture edge

while it's high street (59,95€!).
