You may have noticed I've been adding some new books periodically for the last few weeks (and will continue to add more). I'm not gonna list all the ones I'm adding b/c I'm lazy but be sure to check out all the categories in the gallery as they're all being updated.

So I go to the mailbox today and this is what I find waiting for me - sent by a fellow shipper, Ron. (Hi, Ron!) It's beautiful and I plan on wearing it everyday this week (it's a belt buckle if you can't tell from the picture). Anyways, I just wanted everyone to know what an awesome guy Ron was and extend my gratitude to him. I never expected to get a gift for making Matching Colors so I'm completely thrilled!

JSA = Touching (new additions!!)

You're in for a treat if you pick up JSA 22, which came out this week. I won't spoil anything for you but I will say that Alex Ross FINALLY drew a feminine Diana. And if that doesn't excite you maybe Kal and Diana's small army of children will. (scroll to the bottom of the page)

I also added a Countdown special and Teen Titans Annual on that page. While the Teen Titans issue doesn't really contain anything straight out SM/WW, you have to wonder what Cassie is insinuating in that second page...

And special thanks to SailorLibra for pointing out our ship in Adventures of Superman Annual 6 and Adventures of Superman 435 found here. As well as the second part of Created Equal.

So I'm flipping through the latest JSA special and I'm totally blindsided by this splash:

I guess I had just given up on the hope of KC Supes meeting with WW but Johns is finally throwing us fans a bone! So what if Superman looks like a foot and Diana Prince has lip injections? I'll take SM/WW where I can get it!

So I recently asked Dwayne McDuffie, the current writer of JLA, if he would ever address the fact that our favorite superheroes were married briefly in an alt universe and he actually said YES. Looks like there maybe some more SM/WW moments in our future...

He also had this to say in response to moonshine13's question:

So my question is why do writers repetitively play with the Superman/Wondy pairing if it is not meant to be?

Because it's intriguing. It probably won't ever happen in a permanent way, but there are lots of fun stories to tell about it, and every so often, we'll tell one.

(what's going on with Diana's hand??)

To be honest I thought we wouldn't get anything out of this issue given that the last one only had ONE PANEL of SM/WW goodness. While there's nothing straight-forwardy SM/WW about this issue (interactions between the pair), we do get a few good lines from Diana. I hope McDuffie decides to show some consequences of this issue in later arcs and have Superman and Diana confront each other about this alt universe where they were married...

And for those interested, no, I wouldn't recommend buying this issue unless you're a diehard Vixen fan- it was mostly a filler story.

DCU Halloween Special

No, that's not Diana and Clark- it's LOIS and Clark! If you didn't bother picking the new DC Halloween Special, you probably missed these juicy images. Don't worry, I uploaded them here for you.

It not the real deal of course, but I'm sure you all have vivid enough imaginations to pretend it's really Diana. I know Superman does- just look at that smile! Realistically though, I don't think Lois would be caught dead in her husband's "best friend's" outfit... unless she's trying to spice up the marriage?

Frankly I was a little disappointed this was all we got- 2 panels?! Supes and Wondy aren't even smiling in their wedding panel! However, I did like the image of WW mourning SM- it's very sweet and sad looking.

And of course Batman got 3 pages devoted to his altered world while everyone else got one or two panels... :/ Ridiculous! But I suppose we should be happy that we got something. DC hasn't given us anything SM/WW to nibble on for a while.

Just a reminder here- be sure to pick up this week's JLA as the solicit says Wonder Woman and Superman are married in an altered DC universe.

Vixen and Animal Man journey into the sacred Tantu Totem to solve the mystery of their altered powers. But Anansi, the African spider god responsible for these changes, has only begun reshaping the powers and histories of the Justice League, as eight-year-old Bruce Wayne shoots the burglar who killed his parents, Wonder Woman retires from the JLA after the tragic death of her husband, Superman, and The Green Lantern Corps quarantines Earth after one of their number destroys an American city. With the team's history changing before Vixen's eyes, is the JLA we now know gone forever?

The preview doesn't contain anything we're looking for but hopefully it'll get you excited for the issue! Hopefully the SM/WW moments will spice up a less-than-stellar series under the pen of McDuffie.

Comic Con 08 - Superman Panel

- Who's showing up in New Krypton? Johns: Creature Commandos, the Titans, Agent Liberty, the JSA, Wonder Woman -- a lot of people are curious what's going on and talk to Superman about it.
