DURA-Lite™ translucent panels from GPI Design consist of thin natural stone veneer permanently bonded to a glass substrate for curtain wall and backlighting applications. These laminated panels are not only extremely strong, but they allow for the creation of large seamless, monolithic walls of backlit onyx and other natural stones. The exotic stones, onyx, alabaster, quartz, marble and granite, are custom sourced, directly from stone quarries and are milled to only a few millimeters.

The panels are then manufactured for each project with precise book-matching and slip-matching to allow the authentic beauty of the stone to shine. GPI Design works with architects, interior designers and lighting designers to create custom illuminated features. Some of  the materials they work with in addition to stone is glass, resin, stretch fabric and wood for residential and commercial interiors.

Trikeenan Tileworks is an American artisan tile maker known for their innovation, unique colors and deep traditions in sustainable manufacturing. They combine salvaged thin brick from Metropolitan Ceramics with their own recycled glazes to create Boneyard Brick. The company maintains a closed loop manufacturing process with no glaze or clay waste leaving their factory; clean water in and clean water out.

The brick contains 95% recycled content with no VOCs, is a commercial grade product and is suitable for both interior and exterior applications. There are fifteen colors and three sizes plus custom colors, edge cap and corner pieces also available.

The tile are available in 6″ x  6″ and 4″ x 8″ field tile and in all of the soft Ann Sacks earthenware and stoneware colors. Recommended application is for interior walls and light flooring. A new palette will be introduced later this year for the collection.

US Tile, a Boral Roofing Company, has partnered with SRS Energy to introduce the Solé Power Tile the first building-integrated photovoltaic roofing product in the U.S. designed for curved roofing systems. The electricity-generating “barrel-style” tiles have a tough, molded-plastic body fused with a sheet of distinctive blue flexible solar chips from Uni Solar.

Although the cells gather less energy than conventional tilt-up panels they react to a broader spectrum of light even on cloudy days. They have been specifically designed to seamlessly integrate and install with US Tile’s authentic clay tiles.

Since there are no penetrations or any mounting equipment required the integrity of the roof is maintained. The system can be installed in a profile-only blend with one of the many classic earthen hues available or installed with US Tile’s blue glazed tile for a completely seamless look.

The Bare Skin Sustainable Panels from Recla Metals re-create the look found in turn-of-the-century mining towns in the west. Located in Colorado the company is a specialist in rusted roofing products and accessories that create the rusted tin look using new manufactured steel sheets. Once the new heavy gauge steel panels are installed they will begin to rust and once mature they will develop a rich and organic patina.

The Rusty Corrugated Metal (RCM) product can be used for residential roofing and siding as well as for commercial projects. The product has the look and lifespan of Corten, but differs in price and availability.  Another product offered is Vintage Skin Sustainable Panels that provides a shortcut to weathered galvanized metal.

These panels are a realistic alternative to the more expensive zinc panels are a soft, mat-grey color with gun-metal undertones and do not have the glare of new steel. The panels are available in three different rolling corrugations and provide an alternative vintage looking material without the rust. Additionally the company operates a state of the art metal recycling center buying all ferrous and non-ferrous metals for recycling.

There are a range of modules available in different sizes that can be combined and arranged to create a one-of-a-kind custom look. The complete Vipp kitchen concept has been developed to bring a functional and visual cohesiveness into the kitchen.

This includes every detail even the fixtures, drawer pulls and inserts, range hood and the stove knobs. The kitchen is available in black and white and their product is available through dealers in the US.
