Form A1 (Only first page is required to be filled)
One passport size photo pasted on Form A1
Form-U (It contains NOC which is to be signed by Old Consumer - Not Mandatory To Get Signature.You Can Just Fill Form U)
Undertaking from a New Consumer on Stamp Paper of INR 100 (Format given as Annexure-A in Form-U). It is for the purpose of indemnifying MSEDCL.
Identity Proof (PAN/UID/Driving License/Passport etc) with your correct Name.
Just Share Certificate or Notary Attested copy of Sale Deed/Agreement of Sale of Flat
Copy of latest Electricity Bill along with copy of Payment Receipt of the same.
NOC Letter from Society on its Letterhead acknowledging that you are the current owner as per their records and MSEDCL can transfer connection in your name.

B.After 15 Days Visit Cement Factory MSEDCL Office,Mulund.

>> Toll rates to be increased every year, and Wholesale Price Index to be applied during revision. Currently, toll rates are revised once in three years and the rate slabs are fixed till the year 2052

>> Vehicle category will be based on weights, instead of the existing five categories

>> Toll operator will be responsible for maintaining the road in a motorable condition at all times during the contract period. All safety provisions are to be observed. Such guidelines do exist currently

>> The system of approval will be defined and any new proposal will be routed through the concerned departments for comments. Prior approval by the finance department will be sought before issuing request for proposal (RFP)

>> All bids will be issued through e-tendering and will be published in newspapers

>> More than one toll plaza on a project highway will be treated as a cluster development project, and shall be placed at least 5 km beyond municipal limits

>> Besides toll, sources of revenue will comprise user fee, advertisement rights and land development to recover costs

>> Minimum distance between two toll plazas will be 45 km instead of the current 35-40 km. Traffic growth will be taken as 5 per cent per year

Supreme Court order to free private forest land in Mumbai for real estate projects

The new ruling will make way for more than 100 real estate projects and bring relief to nearly 500,000 residents whose properties were listed as encroachments

Several real estate projects, many of which were stuck half-way, will be free for development with Thursday’s Supreme Court order on private forest land setting aside an earlier Bombay high court ruling.

The new ruling will not just open up hundreds of acres of private forest land in suburban Mumbai for development, making way for more than 100 real estate projects to be developed, but will also bring relief to nearly 500,000 residents whose properties were listed as encroachments.

Large Mumbai developers such as Oberoi Realty Ltd and Runwal Group, whose projects have been stuck for the past few years, can go ahead and launch and sell their projects now.

“I am deeply disappointed by today’s Supreme Court order,” said Debi Goenka, an environmental activist and managing trustee of the Conservation Act Trust, a non-profit organization.

In 2002, the Bombay Environmental Action Group (BEAG), a non-profit organization, filed a public interest litigation (PIL) in the Bombay high court on the issue of encroachment of private forest land in Maharashtra, which include more than 1,000 acres of land in and around Mumbai.

The high court in 2005 asked the state government to issue a list of encroachments on private forest land and give details of action taken by the government on such encroachments.

Once the land started being notified as forest land, resident groups formed the Hillside Resident Welfare Association (HRWA) and filed a counter PIL in 2006, though the high court upheld the state government’s contention that these residents were encroachers.

Most of these projects have been stuck since 2006, when the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued stop-work notices.

Oberoi Realty’s project in suburban Mulund, which has been stuck over this issue, should be free to launch now, said analysts.

The 3.2 million sq. ft project is expected to fetch around Rs.4,000 crore of revenue for the realty firm, said Adhidev Charttopadhay, analyst, HDFC Securities Ltd.

Vikas Oberoi, chairman of Oberoi Realty, declined to comment, citing the so-called silent period ahead of the announcement of company earnings this weekend.

Runwal Group’s project in Mulund that has also been stuck for the past few years, can be built and completed now.

While it’s a relief, the projects will require fresh environmental clearances now, according to Sandeep Runwal, director of the Runwal Group.

Another realty firm, Aristo Realty Developers Ltd, had partially started construction on a large project in the same suburb, after which it was stalled.

Though interim relief was granted in 2010, under which residents and builders could pay a compounding fee to regularize their properties, not many took the risk with the status of the land being uncertain.

“Today’s judgement has come as a great relief to around five lakh people living in and around Mumbai and 15 lakh more persons from other parts of the state,” said Prakash Paddikal, president of HRWA.

“In fact, it accepts our contention that we were never encroachers on forest land, we were living in flats whose building plans were approved the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) and to whom MCGM has given occupation certificate,” Paddikal added.

Be careful in the monsoons...

Monsoons have always been synonymous with infections that send your stomach for a toss. We narrow the ailments down to the five most common stomach-related infections to watch out for.

Gastroenteritis

In simple terms, it is referred to as the stomach flu. The E coli bacterium mostly causes the intestinal infection that results in the inflammation of the gastro-intestinal track.

Thankfully, the disease is generally self-limiting, which means it requires no treatment apart from keeping the patient rehydrated. However, one symptom that calls for immediate medical attention is the patient's inability to pass urine. This happens in extreme cases of dehydration and a kidney shutdown could also follow.

Symptoms: Vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, abdominal pain, dehydration.

Hepatitis

Rates of Hepatitis A and E witness a rise at this time of year since the liver-related disease spreads essentially through contaminated food. Because the liver is attached to the gastro-intestinal tract, the symptoms are also largely stomach-related. Though the symptoms subside significantly within a week, complete recovery takes anywhere from three to six weeks and in extreme cases, it can go up to 12 weeks.

The good news is that you can be infected with these viruses only once in a lifetime, as the body develops immunity upon recovery. It is most likely to infect children in the age group of five to 15. Largely, this is also a self-limiting disease and requires only symptomatic medication.

Yet, consulting the doctor is essential as the disease may take a fatal turn in pregnant women, as also those people with a weak immune system. A word of caution – be wary of herbal medicines. Many of these medications, which claim to 'cure' hepatitis instantly, are packed with steroids which can cause permanent and severe damage to the intestines and the liver.

Symptoms : Loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting and fever.

Typhoid

Caused by a particular strain of bacteria referred to as salmonella typhi, this disease is essentially caused by poor hygiene; more specifically caused by eating food handled by an infected person. Untreated cases can result in severe complication and even death.

The general course of treatment consists of antibiotics for a prolonged period of two weeks or more. An intra-muscular vaccine to fight typhoid is available in India. However, this vaccine may not be advisable for all, due to possible side-effects and repercussions.

Symptoms : Fever, headache, abdominal pain, diarrhoea.

Leptospirosis

It is transmitted via the urine of an infected animal. It spreads when we wade through contaminated water, and enters the body through cracks in the skin. To a lesser extent, it can also strike via consumption of contaminated food.

Leptospirosis also affects the liver and hence, manifests itself as a bad case of jaundice. Only a trained eye can diagnose it correctly. Prompt treatment in the form of antibiotics is essential because if it goes untreated, it could lead to kidney failure or multi-organ dysfunction.

Symptoms: Fever, body ache, jaundice, lung problem.

Malaria

It is caused by a parasite and transmitted via the bite of an infected mosquito. The parasites multiply in the liver, and infect red blood cells. If not treated, malaria can quickly become life-threatening by disrupting the blood supply to vital organs.

Symptoms : Fever, headache, vomiting, jaundice.

Stay away from:

Filth : Since hygiene is further compromised during monsoons due to stagnant water, etc.

Flies : Stagnant water serves as breeding ground for mosquitoes, flies and other disease-bearing insects.

Formides : This medical term essentially refers to anything and everything that spreads infections. For instance, the drainage pipes are sometimes placed very close to the drinking water pipes. Since the pipes are porous, the water often seeps from one pipe to the other, causing infections.

Fingers : This self-explanatory term refers to infections that are spread via indirect touch. For instance, a chef who hasn't washed his hands before cooking can spread infection.

It's important to...

Wash vegetables thoroughly before cooking. Also give road-side stalls a miss.

Boil water thoroughly before drinking. Avoid outside beverages mixed with water, such as fresh lime water, diluted juices, chutneys, etc.

Have a bath immediately after returning drenched from the rain, to avoid leptospirosis.

Use mosquito repellents to reduce your chances of contracting malaria.
