God always does something special when a group of people rally around a vision and trust God for the supernatural. Over the past 13 plus years God has done amazing things here at C3 here on this 47 acre tobacco farm but I believe our GREATEST days are ahead! I am so humbled to be your pastor and am so honored to serve with you as we strive to make Jesus famous in the triangle area and beyond. So join us this weekend Saturday at 6pm or Sunday 9:15 or 11:15am. I love you and thank God for you.

And wow I was blown away at all that God did. It was more than just having a few extra services. It was more than having a few amazing guest speakers come in. It was more than having great worship and prayer during the fast. What the Holy Spirit did was bigger than that. It was beyond church activity. It was more about God doing an inner working of the heart. I believe God loves it when His people press in and seek Him with all their heart, especially at the beginning of the year or when we are believing for a supernatural work of God in our lives or church.

If you missed any of the Hot Nights you can watch them here…

Pastor Tommy Barnett - Phoenix First Assembly, Phoenix AZ

So what’s next? I am believing that this year will be a year that we see Ephesians 3:20 in our lives and in our churches. I am believing that we will launch forward as a church like never before. These aren’t days for the church to play it safe or to slow down. Let’s go full throttle as we glorify Jesus and spread the gospel in our community and around the world! Can you imagine?

1 Samuel 23:5-12, “So David and his men went to Keilah. They slaughtered the Philistines and took all their livestock and rescued the people of Keilah. Now when Abiathar son of Ahimelech fled to David at Keilah, he brought the ephod with him. Saul soon learned that David was at Keilah. “Good!” he exclaimed. “We’ve got him now! God has handed him over to me, for he has trapped himself in a walled town!” So Saul mobilized his entire army to march to Keilah and besiege David and his men. But David learned of Saul’s plan and told Abiathar the priest to bring the ephod and ask the LORD what he should do. Then David prayed, “O LORD, God of Israel, I have heard that Saul is planning to come and destroy Keilah because I am here. Will the leaders of Keilah betray me to him? And will Saul actually come as I have heard? O LORD, God of Israel, please tell me.” And the LORD said, “He will come.’’ Again David asked, “Will the leaders of Keilah betray me and my men to Saul?” And the LORD replied, “Yes, they will betray you.”

1 Samuel 23: 26-29, “Saul and David were now on opposite sides of a mountain. Just as Saul and his men began to close in on David and his men, an urgent message reached Saul that the Philistines were raiding Israel again. So Saul quit chasing David and returned to fight the Philistines. Ever since that time, the place where David was camped has been called the Rock of Escape. David then went to live in the strongholds of En-gedi.”

Prayer Focus

David was surrounded by opposition. Even though he knew he was about to be betrayed, he still prayed and worshipped God. In the end, God came through. David found himself separated from his enemies, delivered from danger and resting in the stronghold of Engedi. David’s life was filled with trials. At times, he was running for his life, at times he was hiding out in caves. It was a fight. But there were two things that remained throughout David’s entire life: worship and prayer. David knew that when it came down to it – regardless of what he went through – that was all he needed. Over the last 21 days, we’ve established a consistency in prayer, worship and drawing closer to God. Remain consistent, recognizing that this is the lifeline to strength and the only way to overcome any adversity. Pray for a humble spirit and an obedient heart. Pray for our weekend services today and tomorrow!

Mark 9:14-19, “When they returned to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd surrounding them, and some teachers of religious law were arguing with them. When the crowd saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with awe, and they ran to greet him. “What is all this arguing about?” Jesus asked. One of the men in the crowd spoke up and said, “Teacher, I brought my son so you could heal him. He is possessed by an evil spirit that won’t let him talk. And whenever this spirit seizes him, it throws him violently to the ground. Then he foams at the mouth and grinds his teeth and becomes rigid. So I asked your disciples to cast out the evil spirit, but they couldn’t do it.” Jesus said to them, “You faithless people! How long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.” So they brought the boy. But when the evil spirit saw Jesus, it threw the child into a violent convulsion, and he fell to the ground, writhing and foaming at the mouth. “How long has this been happening?” Jesus asked the boy’s father. He replied, “Since he was a little boy. The spirit often throws him into the fire or into water, trying to kill him. Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.” “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!” When Jesus saw that the crowd of onlookers was growing, he rebuked the evil spirit. “Listen, you spirit that makes this boy unable to hear and speak,” he said. “I command you to come out of this child and never enter him again!” Then the spirit screamed and threw the boy into another violent convulsion and left him. The boy appeared to be dead. A murmur ran through the crowd as people said, “He’s dead.” But Jesus took him by the hand and helped him to his feet, and he stood up. Afterward, when Jesus was alone in the house with his disciples, they asked him, “Why couldn’t we cast out that evil spirit?” Jesus replied, “This kind can be cast out only by prayer.”

Prayer Focus:

The disciples found themselves unprepared to deal with this particular situation. Because Jesus led a lifestyle of prayer and fasting, He was prepared to deal with the issue when the time came. He didn’t wait until the problem arose to prepare - a lifestyle of prayer and fasting had prepared Him for it. Prayer and fasting prepares us for what lies ahead. We don’t have to wait for an emergency to arise before we prepare. Let us prepare ahead of time so that when confronted with adversity or challenges, we can face them head on. Pray that God would give you strength to finish strong in this season of prayer and fasting. Pray for clear vision, clear direction and the strength and courage to do all that He is calling you to do.
