Hans Zimmer and John Powell teamed up once again to create the energetic score to the animated film “Kung Fu Panda 2”. The “Kung Fu Panda 2” soundtrack does not disappoint. If you enjoyed the score to the original, you will love this score as well.

The “Kung Fu Panda 2” score is very similar to the original “Kung Fu Panda” score. This score brings back the same style and themes as the original with some great new material as well. This score also seems to flow a little bit better than the original.

I don’t really have much more to say about this score. If you’re not a fan of animated scores, you should give this one a try. If you are a fan of animated scores then you should definitely pick this one up.

Disney disappoints with the latest “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” soundtrack. Hans Zimmer is credited with composing the album, but Zimmer’s music only makes up about half of the soundtrack. Rodrigo Gabriela composed 3 songs, which are guitar pieces for the most part, and the rest of the songs are all remixes.

The eight songs composed by Hans Zimmer bring back all of the old themes we remember from previous “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies. Zimmer changes things up this soundtrack by adding a Latin music style to the equation. Rodrigo Gabriela really brings the Latin music style together for the album with his talented guitar playing.

Some people really enjoy remixes. I am not one of those people. I enjoy some remixes if they are really well done, but the remixes on the “On Stranger Tides” soundtrack are not that great, yet they make up half of the soundtrack.

If you enjoy guitar music, especially Latin style guitar, you may want to check out the songs on the soundtrack written by or featuring Rodrigo Gabriela. Other than that, there really isn’t much new material to the “On Stranger Tides” soundtrack.

If you are a big fan of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” soundtracks or a huge fan of Hans Zimmer you will probably buy this album no matter what I say, but if you thought the other soundtracks were just “okay” then you can probably pass on this one or only download a few tracks.
