Take off the Light !!

Stop the expropriation of farmers and breeders

The continuing patenting of seeds, conventional plant varieties and animal species leads to far-reaching expropriations of farmers and breeders: farmers are deprived of their rights to save their harvested seeds, and breeders are under strong limitations to use the patented seeds freely for further breeding.

The European Patent Office (EPO) has repeatedly broadened the scope of patentability and undermined existing restrictions, in the interest of multinational companies. Our food security is increasingly dependent on a few transnational chemical and biotechnological companies.

Now the European Patent Office deals with the basic question: Patents on conventional plants and animals!

The Enlarged Board of Appeal of the EPO will use a patent on broccoli (EP 1069819) for a fundamental ruling, on whether or not conventional plants are patentable. The decission of the Enlarged Board of Appeal (case T 0083/05) will be binding for all other pending patent applications and even for animals and their offspring. [ Read more ]

In a joint letter to the Enlarged Board of Appeal the organisers of this website and numerous farmers' organisations from around the globe restate their oposition to patents on conventional seeds and animals.

EEEC PC launch in Germany

Asus disclosed the secret this Tuesday. Unlike in Taiwan where they sell three different models ,they want to offer only one Model of the new EEEC Laptop in Germany. 299 Euros for the 4 Gig version... but the same one is sold in the states for 299 Dollars......expensive Germany.
I think i´ll wait till spring...cause there is planed to launch the newer version.

I Know its nothing Technical
but someone asked me for this recipe..so here it is:

Here is a very regional kind of Cinnamon rolls.

This recipe and the style of making them is from my girls
grandmother, and as i know they are only be made in the area where
i grew up.

The most important thing u have to know is that u will need a
special kind of "IRON" to fry them.
Its only possible to buy them on small fests and markets here at
the countryside of Nuernberg Germany.

A metal conic tube 20 millimeter long on a 50 millimeter stick with
a wooden handle.
At the top of the tube is a 30 millimeter rope.
With the rope you have to bond the slices on the iron to fry them.

Cinnamon Rolls

What you need:

4 Eggs
500 gramms margarine
2 spoon Vanilla sugar
1 cup cream
1 shot snaps
200 gramms sugar
1500 gramms flour

Stir Eggs, sugar, margarine, cream and snaps to a smooth "foam".
Mix with flour and knead it.
Make a nice handy dough and let it rest cold for 12 hours.
Roll it out thin and cut it in the size of the "IRON".
Approx. 10x15 centimeters.
Bond the slice with the rope around the tube.
Fry one in hot butter oil (concentrated butter) till the roll is
(not too dark) brown. (4 min)
Remove it and roll it in cinnamonsugar.
you will get about 50 pieces.

Today something interesting for all of you, who uses a Instant Messager.

You know how it is when you are at a friends computer or in Your Office and your Favorite Messager isn´t installed. And there´s now way to do that.
But you want to have a short look for your Buddies.

Internet connection

How stabil is ur Internet Connection....For me at the moment its the Hell.
Since nearly a month at Prime Time every 2-3 minutes the connection interrupts.
I called the Hotline and guess what they said.
Tough luck!
He said they know that there is a problem but wont do anything.
The only thing i can do is waiting for better times or cancel the contract to search for a different provider.
I asked him :"are u kidding?
and he answered: " NO THAT´S NOT A JOKE"
Its Like: we dont need u as a customer, go somewhere else.

I read something interesting. The typical internt user seems to be jung and male...wonder why...thats what a new public poll in Germany says.
Male people are more the seller than fem.
2 of 3 are buying online but it isnt very popular for them to sell stuff.Male, age up to 34, are the most active.
45% of them already had offered something online.But there are only 33% female at the same age.The higher the education, the earlier the internet is used to sell.
